@DAMillich-lg9mz Are you sure? Houston has been nothing more than a flaccid excuse for a squad that only got here because their division has all the competition of a bucket of cold piss.
Unlike what these guys think, I'll be surprised if Mahomes, Kelce, or Jones even suit up for week 18. If Humphries is able to go, I can maybe see them playing their starters on the offensive line to see if they'd be comfortable putting Humphries back in at tackle and moving Thuney back to guard. They haven't even had one full game to evaluate Humphries yet, so maybe the line pays a bit more than I'd otherwise expect. Other than that, I wouldn't expect that many of the main starters play much at all. With a lot of teams, giving them almost 4 weeks off, and you'd worry about rust, but KC knows the playoff drill better than anyone, and I doubt the extended break would do anything but help.
I would be surprised if Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones don't play the rest of the games. They are so full of themselves and want to play to preserve their legacy of greatness before the team. They put themselves before the team. They are more concerned with winning every single game and padding their stats than putting the team before themselves. If Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones don't play I don't believe they can win. Depending on who they play. Pittsburg is weak and fake. They won't get out of the first round. Bet the farm on that!
@@herbie4u2009 That comment pretty much proves you know nothing about the Chiefs other than the fact that you hate them. Putting personal stats above the good of the team? Kelce had a chance for his 8th straight 1000 yard season last year, only needed 16 yards to break his own record, but he sat out the final game because it would be better for the team, as did Mahomes and Jones. If they hadn't lost to Buffalo, maybe they'd all want to play to win that Denver game and go for the undefeated season, but now, I'd say less than 10% chance they play at all. Not sure who you meant be the not getting out of the first round comment, Pittsburgh or KC. But KC has already gotten out of the first round because they got the bye! And for Pitt, they might actually survive the first round. Very good chance they play Houston the first round, and they haven't looked any better than PItt has. In the second round, KC will be playing the winner of that game. We saw the last two weeks how those matchups went. That'll put KC in the almost annual (they did miss it last year) Arrowhead Invitational AFC Championship Game. I'll take those odds.
Chiefs got pressure with 4 rushers and made that look easy. Even without Chris Jones. That defense will really benefit from rest. Hicks was laying big hits, Reid too. Corners looked great and tackled very well. Chiefs are ready for Ravens or Bills. 3 Str8 Lombardi trophies time!
I love Mahomes and the Chiefs but no way is he MVP imo. Don't get me wrong, I think he is the true MVP, but the award is based on stats. Lamar and Allen are much better candidates imo and Lamar would be my choice, he's just having an unbelievable year stat wise.
Andy Reid went undefeated at home, which hasn't been done in Kansas City since 2003. Andy Reid's Chiefs have sustained greatness, but SURPASSED it this year with a 15-1 record, which the Chiefs have never accomplished. 9-straight AFC West Banners and a shot at a seventh-straight AFC Championship game. I would say that Andy Reid exceeds ALL expectations with: *the best record in the 2024 NFL season *the best Chiefs season record ever *the most one-score victories in a single season *a 9th-straight AFC West Banner All while managing a team missing WR1, WR2, RB1 and CB2 for over half the season, and continuing to work through team chemistry, a sub-par offensive line (LT/RT) and a train of free agents lined-up to fill huge shoes during a run where every team was playing their Super Bowl to take down the champs. Moving Joe Thuney to LT was a great decision. Give it to Andy... 12 seasons in KC and NEVER recognized as the Coach of the Year as the Chiefs' leader. Let's look back: *12-consecutive winning seasons *9 AFC West Banners *4 Lamar Hunt Trophies *3 Lombardi Trophies SIX STRAIGHT AFC Championship Appearances and poised to make it SEVEN STRAIGHT ...and after all of that, his team just secured home field in the playoffs run where they have a chance to win a THIRD CONSECUTIVE LOMBARDI TROPHY after having (statistically) his best winning season.
There's no way Andy is playing any key players against Denver. If that's an available bet, and I was a gambler, I'd bet my house on it. Andy sits everyone he can if seeding is locked up. Some starters might dress for the game but won't play unless injuries occur.
At least 2 of the Taylor holds were just TJ Watt being a master manipulator of the officials. He held Taylor at least twice and used his position or went down at the right time while holding Taylor’s wrist or trapping Taylor’s extended arm (think hockey) to make it look like he was held. Officials were just suckered a couple of times. Officials missed at least 5 obvious O-line holding calls on Pitt and D-line hands to the face at least once. All on replay and irrefutable.
Steelers playing conservative? Lol. Wilson cannot repeat complicated plays back to the offense, much less implement them. He has ALWAYS had to have the simplest passing game in the league to find success. Why is there a rule that people on tv are not allowed to watch NFL before talking about it?
@@steel148 Oh wow. I LOVE talking to people like you. You are the best because I get to tell you something that will change your life! So all games and EVERY play is filmed by about 3 dozen cameras! So literally nothing on an NFL field played is secret or hidden! It'll change your whole way of viewing now that you know that!
What made the NFL? The NFL coincided with the advent of tv. What other form of entertainment could be produced as cheaply as 3 hours of NFL? For broadcast networks, football made perfect economic sense. The consumer could sit back and jell out for 3 hours without getting off the couch, with a remote, you didn't even have to get up to change the channel. Advertisers were guaranteed a vast audience for their goods. Streaming chops up that audience into little bitty segments, most of whom can ill afford a $300 dollar subscription chasing the NFL around the inet. Streaming will kill the NFL.
A lot of ppl suspect they have been saving their A game for the playoffs, while other teams have been playing against the chiefs like it's the Superbowl. I guess time will tell. Either way though hating on a 15-1 record is circus activity. They have the best record rn weather ppl like it or not.
I find it really wierd that the other nfl teams just don't seem to be able to compete with the Chiefs! The talent level in the nfl is so even yet the other teams just don't seem to be on the same level as the chiefs. Doesn't make sense. Would be interesting if Mahomes was playing on another team. Then we would find out if he is as good as he thinks he is! Lots of missed calls in this game. Everytime the team playing the chiefs makes a good play for a large gain it's oops there's a penalty on the offense to bring it back. Should be interesting. The Chiefs can't keep winning game after game after game. Not without help anyways. I believe it's a setup for the betting sites and vegas to take in a huge haul when they actually do lose. People will begin believing this team will never ever lose another game. Then they will bet the farm and everything else that they will win and when they lose people will lose everything. Miss the days when football was actually football. They can't and won't win forever. Be ready eventually for total heartbreak. What happens when Mahomes actually faces a season ending injury. Do you really think they will win then???? They won't win forever. It is the way life is!
I find it weird that regardless of how the Chiefs win, there will always be crybabies whining about them. Yes the reign will end, just like the Patriots dynasty. But it doesn't look like it will anytime soon.
Mahomes has the most TD passes in the first 8 season. He's only been a starter for 7 seasons. Let that sink in.
Amazing ❤
He's tied with Peyton..
