Watch the tape, the bigger issue wasn’t Hurts. It was Kellen Moore play calling/ WRs not open. Hurts reads were COMPLETELY covered by the packers or they took too long to develop, etc. which is something Kellen Moore has been guilty of his entire career as an OC.

This is the playoffs. Teams make adjustments. You aren't going to get everything easy and you have to adapt. GB played good defense in that game and Jordan Love is the reason the Packers lost that game. Although there were some plays the receivers didn't get open, Jalen Hurts pocket awareness and ability to read defenses is mediocre. It's been that way all year. He only threw for 2,900 yards this season. He doesn't stand in the pocket long enough to let plays down field generally. He feels pressure and bail the pocket soon. Also, they run an RPO offense. It's a quick read offense. Kellen Moore can't do a lot of what he wants to run because Jalen isn't a pocket passer and has trouble processing what he's seeing when you give him too much lol. He doesn't manipulate the defense well especially with his eyes. Jalen Hurts will be reason they don't win the SB. This roster is ELITE and they win despite Jalen Hurts mediocrity.
Buffalo didn’t have starting linebackers and a starting safety , before Amari cooper was acquired and Khalil Shakir went down with an injury and wasn’t the same remainder of the game. It will be a tough battle but it’s going to be completely different this go around

I think Acho had the right idea, I just wasn't articulate it correctly. It's not that Hurts plays down or underperformed necessarily, It's he understands it's more important he doesn't put the ball it harms way. If Hurts, throw a 50/50 ball, and it got picked, it could have flipped the moment of game. Hurts is going to make safe play every time, till it's required for him to gamble.

Acho finally had a take that makes sense. Hurts takes more risk by how the game is going. Yesterday defense controlled the game so he played conservative and got the win. But if Green Bay was moving the ball and scoring on us Hurts would’ve let the ball go more to win a shoot out.

Last week everyone was talking about being worried that Hurts might be rusty. This week after seeing he was rusty the same people are "concerned". He didnt look great but everyome expected that. They still won by double digits. They were favored by 4.5 and won by 12, if Saquon kept running it wouldve been 19. Theres no reason to panic

The Philadelphia Eagles: the only team who can have a franchise QB come back after almost a month in concussion protocol, have 0 turnovers against a top 5 defense. Slay & the defense goes and generates 3 turnovers and multiple stops. But the narrative is Hurts played bad. I saw a comment that said “the eagles are lucky that Love played terrible.” Anything to take the credit away from where it’s due. Defense played lights out, and made a top 5 QB skill wise look terrible. Hurts threw 2 tuddys, no interceptions or fumbles, Saquon had over 100 yards, and Dotson finally got his first TD. Eagles haven't been playing their best game since the Superbowl against the Chiefs ended. Since then we've been chasing that dragon thinking Hurts will be that QB again and this offense will be that productive again. because the team got 3 turnovers in the first half and only managed 10 points, then only got 12 more the rest of the game. yeah they won but it was mostly because GB struggled on offence and gave up too many turnovers. if they dont get that opening fumble and GB makes the FG its 3-3 at the half.

I think it’s more play calling than Jalen. Dan Orlovsky looked at the tape and said no one was open for Jalen which makes sense. The touchdown passes were a quick outlet pass off a blitz and a time where Jalen had like 6 seconds in a clean pocket where finally Dotson got open for Jalen.

Defense was atrocious last year and the offense won us 10 games even while being stagnant with AJ having a career year with 100 catches. Because for some strange unexplainable reason Jalen Hurts is statically the 4th best QB of all time when trailing by 10 or more points. And he has a large sample size of games trailing by 10 or more. THE REALITY AND ANDWER THEY ARE DANCING AROUND: Jalen is clearly coached not to take chances. The game plan is very clearly to just “take what’s there, our roster is better and as long as we don’t turn the ball over we will win”. So unlike other teams, they don’t need to force throws or throw receivers open. Because as long as they don’t turn the ball over, they win due to how good the roster is due to the fact they will eventually outright win their matchups. That’s why Achi believes if GB put up 28, Jalen puts up 30. He doesn’t know why, but it’s because if GB put up 28, Jalen would start taking chances and trying to throw WR open. But for now, the gameplan is just “don’t turn the ball over, get the ball to playmakers when you can, and we win”.

Jalen is clearly coached not to take chances. The game plan is very clearly to just “take what’s there, our roster is better and as long as we don’t turn the ball over we will win”.
So unlike other teams, they don’t need to force throws or throw receivers open. Because as long as they don’t turn the ball over, they win due to how good the roster is due to the fact they will eventually outright win their matchups.
That’s why Achi believes if GB put up 28, Jalen puts up 30. He doesn’t know why, but it’s because if GB put up 28, Jalen would start taking chances and trying to throw WR open.
But for now, the gameplan is just “don’t turn the ball over, get the ball to playmakers when you can, and we win”.

I don't agree with this take...the oline pass protection was horrendous, but nobody wants to talk about that. All season, i saw the pocket collapsing and being unable to hold up under blitz packages...in 22, they gave him so much time, which truly made him dangerous, especially with read option.

Acho is exactly right, Hurts plays to his competition. That will get you a lot of comeback wins, but it means you don't have a killer instinct.....and most championship teams have that. The ability to put a team away is invaluable.....Jordan/Bulls had it, Brady/Patriots, Kobe/Lakers, and Mahomes/Chiefs have it.

I am very critical of Lamar but this isn't the end of his career. He's still very young and we've seen lots of other great QBs either not win it or have a hard time winning it. He's gonna be fine and even if he never wins the chip, there's no denying he's an amazing QB.
