Great video. I played the demo as well and I can’t wait for the full game. One thing I have to disagree with is that you referred to Louis as a noble. But he wasn’t. He rose to power for being a powerful mage and tactician in the army.
I played it twice too on PC because I wanted to check all the options as to what to complete, I am in love with the game. It was kind of tiring in the beginning with all this information and cutscenes, but it is needed info the player needs and Atlus has done a great job in every aspect of the game.

The demo sold me, and I’ve gone ahead and preordered the game. Louis is the craziest part of the game to me, they’re not even hiding the fact that he’s a villain.
But is he wrong? I think he may be inspired by the same book the Prince and Protag are. He had the same goal as the King but had an actionable plan to push it forward by uniting the tribes against a common enemy (the humans) and denouncing the class system.
@@pinip_f_werty1382 not gunna lie I’ll have to rewatch the Louis assassination attempt because I don’t quite remember Louis’ MO. But murder, uniting everyone in fear, and claiming you’re the only “strong man” who can save them is NEVER a good thing or the way to go about things.
Maybe it’s partly my imagination, but still I like the prism through which the narrative goes. You, as a player, are interested in the the world and lore of the game, you dream about something as interesting and beautiful as it is, but it’s a horrible world for the characters, and that book the MC has and the comments characters make on it’s contests suggest that our world is what they are interested in pursuing, not their cruel world. Like, they fight against what you, the player, want to see more of.The world you wanna escape from is the world the characters would love to live in. I hope it all makes sense ‘cause I’m really awkward with constructing my thought.
Not sure but I'd keep it on your system just to be safe. For FF16 and Rebirth for example I deleted the demo off my PS5 after I started the main games and saved a few times.
Tbh, I find it a little weird that people really like the voiced MC…. It’s barely a step up from the silent protags in persona games. When they said the protagonist is voiced I was expecting more like Soul hackers 2. Regardless, it makes no difference to me. This game was way better than I could have imagined
Yeah after we got Ringo I was hoping for more. Then again being a Xenoblade fan my standards were higher 😅 But this is a good step forward for a Hashino directed protagonist, and it's just the demo 👍🏽
This was an excellent review and summary of the demo thus far! I’m absolutely loving it! I’ll throw out one critique and you let me know what you think. I feel like so far the stakes aren’t high enough yet. I’m sure maybe the story will get there later on. Kind of like in Xenoblade 1 when we don’t know what we’re fighting for until later in the game. Overall very satisfied though so far!
@@AD-uq7cg I think once the tournament starts and we experience more of Louis's atrocities it'll pick up a lot more 👀 So far it's been interesting with the set up but I'm sure it'll pick up soon!
I think the most interesting thing about Louis that no one seems to be talking about is that he seems really mad at the King when he kills him. Seemingly upset because the King promised to unite the tribes but failed to during his reign. So I believe his goal to ascend to the throne will be to end racism, but he might have had a very twisted sad past because he states that the kingdom needs to end along with the king. Possibly to be rebuilt from the ground up to end the injustice of tribe inequality.
Yes I think he also mentions that in his speech. As of now his atrocities are against the Royal family which the church doesn't like of course. And killing him would lift the curse. But I'm curious to learn more about him and see how his true end goal is compared to all the other candidates.

@@nishquikpops you get three free days. On day one you get your wisdom to level 2, on day 2 talk to the igniter shop owner and go to the dungeon to fight the minotaur. On day three talk to her again and you unlock Merchant or head to the catacombs (story dungeon) and you'll get Brawler naturally. I suggest grinding as much as you can stomach in the minotaur dungeon (I got too level 23 there) then in the catacombs I got to level 25. If you level up the healer to rank 10 you won't need to go to Academia that much.
@@spadetheghost I remember being unable to do the catacombs dungeon after getting Merchant since that event takes up a day time slot on the 3rd day. And then after the night time event the demo ended. But I just reloaded an old save and did the main dungeon to get brawler lol

Ppl who have merchant and brawler in the dungeon either cheated or have a review copy. Also I didn't talk to the shop keep after leaving the dungeon cause you're correct it does advance the time forward.
I just pre-ordered it, and no, I didn’t play the demo since therez about 5 days until it's out and stuff. Also even tho i am not a fan of SMT games but am a fan of the Persona games, im giving this a shot cuz it feels unique

Ah yes thanks for letting me know! I kinda assumed he was a noble since he's a Clemar and many of them are nobles.
I sold some stuff just so that I could get it! Really excited. I love Atlus games and this one in particular was stunning

Yeah it's a typical Atlus tutorial. But it's nice we got to have that all out of the way before getting into the full game.

If I delete the demo will my save progress still carry to full game?

Only ten hours? I got 30 hrs. Level 25. Replayed it to better min max the three days. Unlocked merchant and brawler
How'd you get both archetypes in the demo??
@@nishquikpops you get three free days. On day one you get your wisdom to level 2, on day 2 talk to the igniter shop owner and go to the dungeon to fight the minotaur. On day three talk to her again and you unlock Merchant or head to the catacombs (story dungeon) and you'll get Brawler naturally.
