@lda5803 Yeah, nowadays, people love their echo chambers and hate their views and opinions being challenged. Which is a bit sad because when people discussed opposing opinions in friendly debates, it felt like people really believed what they stood for. Whereas most feel and sound like bandwagon jumpers.

There shouldn't be 'sides' to begin with. The only way we're going to ever truly come together and move forward better is by never stopping talking about shit that's important. Hearing different perspectives, trying to see things from someone else's viewpoint, having empathy for people you don't agree with and learning from the wrongdoings of those that came before us.

@@JDakaCorgi Right, I meant more regarding political ideology sides. I think being somewhere "in between" in terms of just focusing on what makes sense or is right is a great place to be and would allow for more unity.
Yet both sides promote military conflict(unofficial war) and currency devaluation better known as inflation(most importantly the corrupt organization known as The Federal Reserve because dollar bills are actually unconstitutional).
As a Canadian our left party is red and the right party is blue, complete opposite of the US. So I constantly had to readjust who was saying what. Either way, it shouldn’t be you vs me it should be us vs them.

People do not choose extremes. We vote for extremes because there's a lack of options. With that said... if you take away the labels (Red, Blue, Left, Right, Democrat, Republican, Liberal, Conservative, Progressive, etc...) everyone would be confused because then they would have to vote for the person instead of the title. People would listen to the ideas instead of ignoring the opposing "PARTY."

Well as a God fearing person I don't actually call myself a Christian but I believe in God and the Bible and the Bible says that you can't straddle the fence either you're for satan or God and that's why we're exactly why we are we're we are at today because we choose to lo8the other way and remain neutral. Responding to the last minute or two about the fall of World Powers cause history is my bag (specifically military history and how war has historically affected the development of cultures within a given social group):
You're absolutely right in the sense that the United States will eventually fall from its pedestal - how far it falls is impossible to predict (we could end up like the UK, a nation who's national influence fluctuates over the last thousand years, or like Rome who outright died either with Augustulus's administration in the or the final Sack of Constantinople in the east). But, if I'm being honest we're looking down the barrel of the fall happening within the next 20 years. We've got a sizable portion of the United States who are openly threatening to revolt in the event of a Biden victory with political violence sharply increasing over the last 8 years. Which, by itself, would be completely fine. We can handle that. You've got NATO countries, including the United States, ignoring threats of a hot war from Putin and permitting the use of American and other NATO weapons on Russian soil. Even with a civil war going on, we can definitely win a war in Europe, and our homeland defenses are strong enough to stop an exhausted Russia. But then you have the Gaza war that is constantly threatening to expand. If it's just clearing out Hamas that'd be one thing, but US intervention would more than likely spark a war with neighboring countries (especially if we take the IDF's side). Then you have China eyeballing Taiwan (where all of our military and economic computer chips are made) and China-based American industry (it's almost laughable how dependent on China the American economy is right now). That right there is our biggest threat. Disrupting our trillion dollar supply line would be militarily and economically disasterous. Not a death nail in of itself, but how dangerous the situation gets depends on who else we're fighting. Oh and North Korea is kind of a threat? I mean their military is numerically massive and attrition warfare is a very dangerous thing to deal with when fighting a coalition, but I have absolutely no clue how competent their generals are so... Probably an easy opponent by themselves but adding them to a coalition makes them capable of punching waaaaaay out of their weight class with proper cooperation.
Point is, our survival as THE global power depends on whether or not we can avoid going to war with everybody. Look at Germany in the two world wars. Germany vs ANY of the other countries individually, they win hands down. Fuck, if England or Russia stays neutral in either war they win. Look at Napoleonic France, Napoleon beat every coalition that came at him for literal decades until he squandered his Army in Russia and got invaded. Arrogance is what kills world powers more than anything else.
