About 13000 ft above MSL.. SriNagar to BaalTal about 5 hours drive (150 km). Ghat section time - distance ratio is different and so giving both. One need to take Helicopter from Baltal to Panchatarani for 7 mins (18km walking distance, crow flying path may be shorter).From Panchatharani climb up 5 km or take pony or Dolly... Got it ?

It is off season and possibly its monsoon time. There would be no rush during this period. But rain could create a lot of delays, cause land slips and hence blockages in traffic. But despite the inconvenience, July in my view a Ok season because there would be NO crowd at Kedarnath. But rains would cause delays in travel plans. If you are ready go with complete open plan - it’s okay to visit during July. With family and children- it may not be a good idea. But only adults, especially gents - not worried about delays - can definitely go in July. 🙏All the Best. Ohm Nama Shivaya.
Thank you much for your advise Sir. I have another clarification, Will it be possible to cover badrinath in one day starting from sonprayag 6 AM - route : sonprayag-badrinath- devprayag (by car) reaching devprayag on the same day .
shriram sukumar - Ideally it’s better to provide two days. Last 20 kms to reach Badrinath is highly unpredictable. We were held up 20 kms from Badrinath due to landslips and falling rocks. We had to stay at a very small resting place and our Badrinath hotel booking was wasted ! God’s wish 🙏 Also the last 20 km access to Badrinath from Joshimutt will open only at 6.30 am and Would close by 5 pm so you may not be able to come down. You better plan for 2 days. 🙏

Really awesome video sir Amarnath yatra is not easy as any other yatra this is my personal opinion last year 2017 July 10th we had dharshan but the situations are not comfortable there was terrorist attacks in srinagar so it was really unforgettable experience in my life Kedharnath and Badrinath dharshan is also amazing one Thank you so much sir for your information and video.
Thank you so much Archana Madam. I completely agree with you. The day after we returned, the terrorist attack happened! We went on first few days and the days ahead of us were all were greeted with snow fall and rain. But on the day we went, it was bright and sunny. Using favourable weather, we took Helicopter, had a good & quick darshan and returned.. It was a wonderful Pilgrimage.

@@kaps8083 - You can book from either Haridwar or Dehradhun.. I suggest you do not book from Delhi as the Badri trip requires a driver who is well versed in driving on the roads in mountain. I engaged one Mr. Pawan cell number +917465075859 from Dehradhun but he picked me up at Haridawar Railway station and dropped me there. There are lots of good drivers and options. I hired an Innova though we are just two! You take any good car - Small or big.. There are plenty of clean food enroute in Dhabaas..(road site eateries). A good local driver who is familiar with Char Dham yatra will guide you right place to eat.. Good veg food like Roti, Daal, sabzi, pulav etc are available. You can get very good chai and Bru or Nescafe but NOT filter coffee or dosa or idli.. Food is not an issue in this route.. All the best 👍
If you are fond of filter coffee like me - Buy the packaged branded Dicaction from Chennai or Tamil Nadu and carry with you. You ask the Tea shop guy to mix with Hot boiling milk. That is what I used to do..
Anuradha Sankaran - I went to Vaishnav Devi twice before. First on 24 - 30th May 2005 with family and sister’s.. Second time on 13 Aug 2011 with my wife and friends. In 2017, Hari and I - did not go to Vasihanav Devi as Hari wanted to go with his family. Jai Mata Di🙏
Thanks a lot for your feedback. As you could see from the Video in the first few frames, we performed the whole pilgrimage from 1 July 2017 to 9th July 2017. Actually, it was monsoon season in Uttranchal and its is not a suitable season to travel to Kedarnath and Badrinath. However, we are from Chennai and we were any way going all way to Srinagar for Amarnath Yatra and not minding the fact we decided to also visit Kedarnath and Badrinath. Ideally, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangothri and Yamunothri must either be done in May - June. Alternatively one can go in Oct, July to Mid Sep its monsoon season and its very unsafe and not suitable season for Chardham yatra.

Namaste. Barinath can be reached by private car or various Travels like Paniker travels from.Karol Bagh Delhi or Sree Travels Chennai. One can also go by state transport bus.

A S - Namaste. Yes. I did all bookings in advance. I had a friend in New Delhi and he did all bookings. I hired a car for entire Kedarnath & Badrinath trip from one Driver Pawan at Cell - +91 7465-075859. He is very good, reliable and one who knows all routes. You can agree prices with him prior to trip. 🙏
Further you can ask that driver to pick you up from Delhi or Dehradun airport or Haridwar railway station and proceed to Baridnath. Enroute you may have to stay for a night and the driver can show you a good place. Badrinath also has Sarovar portico a decent 4 star hotel and several small hotels. You can book thru MakeMyTrip.com.

rhea Iyer - thank you. We did not go thru any agent. We made arrangements ourselves. It's a bit difficult and time consuming. But greatly enhanced the travel experience. We have an opportunity to deeply get involved in planning each and every small step.
Ms. Iyer, we did not go thru any travel agent and we did all necessary planning, booking and execution ourselves. In our view, when we do all these ourselves, we are totally engaged in the yatra and come to know of finer details, places, the challenges involved. When we overcome all those and complete the pilgrimage, it gives us immense satisfaction. However there could be situation where one might have to go thru an agent, example Kailash Yatra that involves very complicated China Visa & Tibet permit.

Very Good point. I have been asking her to come with me, but she has accepted the offer so far. Also she does not enjoy physically demanding pilgrimages especially to places with temperature less than 20 degree Celsius. I like the wild and lonely and less populated places by the nature. I honestly believe that Bhaghawan is present all by himself in Nature... Hills, Rivers, Lakes, Sky, Pure Air, Forests etc.. I enjoy pilgrimages that calls for simple life and chance to be with nature for 3 or 4 weeks in a row. That is why, I chose sabarimalai 50 mile walking route 17 times so far in addition to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Amaranth, Kailash, Manasarovar, Mukthinath, Vaishnav Devi etc... My wife came with me to Divya Desam Tour. So far we have seen 102 out of 106... Ohm Nama Shivaya..
Also Other than Amarnath, Kailash and Manasarovar And Sabarimalai - She has been to all other pilgrimages even before we got married. That could also be a reason.

This yatra we went on our own. Me and my friend went together by engaging a private Innova car from Haridwar to Haridwar.
Saapadu we ate only in hotels enroute

@@kaps8083 - You can book from either Haridwar or Dehradhun..
I suggest you do not book from Delhi as the Badri trip requires a driver who is well versed in driving on the roads in mountain.
I engaged one Mr. Pawan cell number +917465075859 from Dehradhun but he picked me up at Haridawar Railway station and dropped me there.
There are lots of good drivers and options. I hired an Innova though we are just two! You take any good car - Small or big..
There are plenty of clean food enroute in Dhabaas..(road site eateries). A good local driver who is familiar with Char Dham yatra will guide you right place to eat.. Good veg food like Roti, Daal, sabzi, pulav etc are available. You can get very good chai and Bru or Nescafe but NOT filter coffee or dosa or idli..
Food is not an issue in this route..

If you are fond of filter coffee like me - Buy the packaged branded Dicaction from Chennai or Tamil Nadu and carry with you. You ask the Tea shop guy to mix with Hot boiling milk. That is what I used to do..

Thanks a lot for your feedback. As you could see from the Video in the first few frames, we performed the whole pilgrimage from 1 July 2017 to 9th July 2017.
Actually, it was monsoon season in Uttranchal and its is not a suitable season to travel to Kedarnath and Badrinath. However, we are from Chennai and we were any way going all way to Srinagar for Amarnath Yatra and not minding the fact we decided to also visit Kedarnath and Badrinath.
Ideally, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangothri and Yamunothri must either be done in May - June. Alternatively one can go in Oct, July to Mid Sep its monsoon season and its very unsafe and not suitable season for Chardham yatra.

Namaste. Barinath can be reached by private car or various Travels like Paniker travels from.Karol Bagh Delhi or Sree Travels Chennai. One can also go by state transport bus.

A S - Namaste. Yes. I did all bookings in advance. I had a friend in New Delhi and he did all bookings.
I hired a car for entire Kedarnath & Badrinath trip from one Driver Pawan at Cell - +91 7465-075859. He is very good, reliable and one who knows all routes. You can agree prices with him prior to trip. 🙏
Further you can ask that driver to pick you up from Delhi or Dehradun airport or Haridwar railway station and proceed to Baridnath. Enroute you may have to stay for a night and the driver can show you a good place. Badrinath also has Sarovar portico a decent 4 star hotel and several small hotels. You can book thru MakeMyTrip.com.

rhea Iyer - thank you. We did not go thru any agent. We made arrangements ourselves. It's a bit difficult and time consuming. But greatly enhanced the travel experience. We have an opportunity to deeply get involved in planning each and every small step.
Ms. Iyer, we did not go thru any travel agent and we did all necessary planning, booking and execution ourselves. In our view, when we do all these ourselves, we are totally engaged in the yatra and come to know of finer details, places, the challenges involved. When we overcome all those and complete the pilgrimage, it gives us immense satisfaction. However there could be situation where one might have to go thru an agent, example Kailash Yatra that involves very complicated China Visa & Tibet permit.

Very Good point. I have been asking her to come with me, but she has accepted the offer so far. Also she does not enjoy physically demanding pilgrimages especially to places with temperature less than 20 degree Celsius.
I like the wild and lonely and less populated places by the nature.
I honestly believe that Bhaghawan is present all by himself in Nature... Hills, Rivers, Lakes, Sky, Pure Air, Forests etc..
I enjoy pilgrimages that calls for simple life and chance to be with nature for 3 or 4 weeks in a row.
That is why, I chose sabarimalai 50 mile walking route 17 times so far in addition to Kedarnath, Badrinath, Amaranth, Kailash, Manasarovar, Mukthinath, Vaishnav Devi etc...
My wife came with me to Divya Desam Tour. So far we have seen 102 out of 106...

Also Other than Amarnath, Kailash and Manasarovar And Sabarimalai - She has been to all other pilgrimages even before we got married. That could also be a reason.
