      +Grimlock1973 you must live in the cave. I live around animals all the time and they don't harm me, and I don't harm them. My dogs and i have a trust relationship and they understand their role in my family. outside the door, we have dear as well. Even if you are in an urban environment you have birds that still exist. You must be way out of touch with nature or you would have recognized these things.

      And we can achieve that by rejecting car culture, which ruined not only wildlife, but also human society as well.

    Sika deer are old world deer that constitute the genus Ocellelaphus, they are found only in Eastern Asia, there are four recognized species of sika deer: the Southeast Asian Sika Deer (Ocellelaphus pseudaxis), the Chinese Sika Deer (Ocellelaphus mandarinus), the Formosan Sika Deer (Ocellelaphus taiouanus), and the Japanese Sika Deer (Ocellelaphus nippon), they are most closely related to the hog deer (genus Hyelaphus).

    I'm shocked that not a single tiger did not try to attack one of the deer in that place

    • @AmCrew1404
      @AmCrew1404 3 роки тому +1

      There is no wild tiger in Japan because tiger is not a native animal to archipelago of Japan. The only big cat that are native to Japan is Tsushima Leopard Cat that only a little bigger than a regular house cat. The deer use to have natural predator which is Japanese wolf but japanese wolf went extinct in their natural habitat 100 years to disease like rabies that killed the entire population of Japanese wolf.

    They trained wild deer to bow?!?? *squeals*

    • @baibac6065
      @baibac6065 5 років тому +18

      They didn't train the deer. The deer learned to bow after seeing the humans bow to them 1200 years ago. To them bow = food.

    • @ReaperPLUR
      @ReaperPLUR 4 роки тому +1

      @@baibac6065 wrong deer bowing is a sign that they want to fight, but they dont attack usually because the human has food and/or doesn't bow back

    • @GCJACK83
      @GCJACK83 3 роки тому +2

      @@ReaperPLUR The Nara Temple herd is famous because they understand that if they bow to humans, humans usually will bow back and give them a biscuit. It's probably the only wild herd in the world that has figured out not all humans are out to eat them. Ultimately, because the god worshipped at the Nara Temple uses deer as a messenger animal, the biscuits are sold by the temple as an offering to the deer. So, when the deer bows, return the bow and offer a biscuit.

    In Southern California, I always see deers running away from humans. I think all the deers are in the state of fear due to the history of huntings and killings of these animals for food.

  • @Lizard1582
    @Lizard1582 8 років тому +7

    I find this so ironic. They're probably so disgusted by the rest of the world hunting deer while we're disgusted by their sea mammal hunting. That's cool as Hell though, it's like how the world domesticated wolves into dogs. I wonder if something other than dogs will become Man's best friend in the far future.

      There are several videos on YT showing the deer a using zebra crossing and the local bus and other traffic calmly going around resting deer standing on the street. Even police cars simply wait for them to move out of the way in heavy traffic. Everyone is aware of their presence so accidents don't seem to happen, afaik.

    • @DynamicSphinx
      @DynamicSphinx 8 років тому +2

      Holly Bug They were extinct in Yellowstone as well. But they we're re-introduced by humans. This should be done in Japan as well!

    • @hollyTM
      @hollyTM 8 років тому +2

      DynamicSphinxxx
      No, people still found small packs and single wolves in Yellowstone. They took wolves from Canada & Montana, and reintroduced them to the park in 1995. I wish they'd do that in Japan, but since they're considered completely extinct and not critically endangered, it might be too late. Plus, some of the wolves might try to get into the city part of Japan.

    • @DynamicSphinx
      @DynamicSphinx 8 років тому +1

      Holly Bug You and I are not really in disagreement. Just because wolves are no longer critically endangered in Japan doesn't mean they won't balance the ecosystem. It makes so sense when there's an abundance of prey population with absolutely no predators around.

    • @hollyTM
      @hollyTM 8 років тому

      DynamicSphinxxx
      I wasn't trying to start an arguement, I hate arguing especially in UA-cam comments...so don't worry :)
      True, they may be beneficial to the ecosystem. The only thing though is that the ecosystem over time has adapted to no wolves that if you reintroduced them it might disturb it. At the same time, I could help reduce the population of deer & rabbit(Japan's rabbit island Needs wolves bad!!). I don't think they'd put wolves near that temple though due to their beliefs and that no one can harm them.
