I've still got one 20+ years on in the UK and still runs the perfectly still like the day she rode of the production line, the car has been completely unmolested and treated with upmost respect. i have really taken care of this vehicle, I've not raged it around off roading although its very capable of this (i live very rural farm roads etc where i live) but those 2.0TD engines really are absolutely bombproof, i believe they easily could run to million miles with general maintenance and if you take care of the vehicle.
