Looks like the cormorant had bitten off more than he could chew , reminded me of how a cat plays with a mouse , great footage, I didnt realise the canal had such big carp in it .
'When I were a lad' we used to go on our bikes across the marshes fishing, many times we would catch eels - which we didn't want, or like because they made such a mess of our lines. Wild, or escaped, Mink used to sit on the opposite riverbank and literaly beg to be fed! We would cut up an eel and throw pieces across to the Mink, it was lovely to watch them so close, eating their favourite meal. The good old days!
Always amazes me that people will waste their own time to comment on something they don’t like. Interesting to see the eel being a meal, wonder if that has ever been filmed before.
I'm on your side Peter. Don't honestly understand the thumbs down culture either to be frank, but to "thumbs down" birds, fishes, cats and flowers one wonders quite what on Earth can be less without guile or politic. Thumbs up to you.
@@MagicaLucem Aha! Thumbs down is not necessarily a "nasty" response. YT might "suggest" a type of vlog for "your" perusal. It is, after all, trying to maximise it's own profits on the advertising thing. Ergo the more vlogs you see the greater an ad's exposure. Well, that eel footage was fascinating! Is it just me wondering how the eel was caught, then stunned or killed, and how the bird was going to eat it it all? The eel looked about nearly two feet long and an excellent example of a "bird's eels being bigger than its stomach". (SeewhatIdunthere?) But seriously? A bird like that doesn't have a Finch type beak or an eagle's for that matter. I can't see it "beaking" an eel into bite sized portions. And I can't imagine another bird will come along and they could pull the eel apart. Where's that Chris Packham when you need him? Too busy mucking around on "Springwatch" that's where. He should be on the canals describing, with diagrams, how a 2ft long eel fits into a 2inch stomach (I'm guessing at two inches btw, could easily be two and a half inches. But still.)
@@ThisNarrowboatAdventure Maybe I can help you with your tech issues. I've been wanting to correct you on something for a while. The Raspberry Pi is 5 volts, not 12 volts. 12 volts will burn it out. I'm working on my solar/wind power generation. I finally got an adapter I needed to spin it up to test my 4,000watt vertical wind turbine. I was shocked... It's supposed to be 24v but it was 48v at low rpm and cooked all the way up to over 184v at higher RPM's. Hope you two are doing well. Take care.
I am sorry, I will try and be more regular! its been a hard time tech wise but things are getting better. I just put up a video and have painted the boat in my time of not having much tech access
That was so calming and pleasant. Thank you very much, Jasmin.
