Hi I love this vid and I'm building my 8th army around this. I'm also thinking of starting a soviet army and was wondering if you had any vids on them. Cheers
A fair point, but I found a dedicate AT gun is alot of points, when other solutions exist, such as a AT rifle or piat backed up with the Stuart gum and 25pdr
So I am just easing into Bolt Action at the moment. My son and I bought the rule book and proxied 40k figures in to start off with. Now, to my surprise, we have committed to the game. We have gone late war using starter sets and I wondered if you bought starter sets or pieced the force together from individual kits? We went late war because we have a big collection of desert campaign figures from Battlefront. The other question, were you not tempted to use the two inch mortar that was attached to infantry units?
I started with the band of brothers starter set, however it's all just grown legs. I will often buy the starter army sets, for casual play they are great, for competitive play armies often look a bit different.
That little bren carrier with transport for that artillery observer is a neat little trick
Wow, superb!! Love the diversity of the poses, the Brens...and the paint job!
Great job on those figures! Nice unit!
Be well.
I just started working on an 8th Army so this was very helpful.
There is another video where I talk about painting the figures in more detail.
@@Unclecthulu excellent! I am looking for some good ways to paint these.

That's the painting video.
@@Unclecthulu thank you very much. that is a great way to present the painting guide. it will be very helpful.

I have not done a video yet, but will do 1. It was a very different game with my soviets, they are not all painted yet- shock horror.
Do you have a painting guide?
I do.

Just on your anti tank gun, given your commentary I find it ironic you have two lightly armoured vehicles in your force.

Oh and with 1 mortar slot, I prefer something with a bigger bang. However I am tempted to use the grenadier squad with 3 Mortars in the Japanese list.
@@Unclecthulu I stand corrected, see I'm learning 😁
Add an Imperator Titan to your army.
That would tip type odds too far against Rommel I think
