Lovely surprise no idea it had been taken in hand and restored. Was there twenty years plus ago and was very sad to see how sorry it all looked. Just great
Another fab video, I've been away for a couple of weeks with very limited internet so I've got a marathon of 15 videos to catch up with tonight..... can't wait 👍🏻
I haven't. I haven't even been to Newhaven, but I aim to rectify that. I hope to cover a few more forts actually, now I have this one as a demo of what I can do.
Think you should head to the fort for sure, have been there several times and well worth a visit, if you did go down and want company then let me know will join you :)
Absolutely love seeing these places being protected and restored! What a great project.
Kevin Predragovich Totally agree.
What a worthwhile project! Had no idea the fort is now open. Will visit soon!

Food for thought and food for fort :)

pastyhead80 Sounds great. I need to check it out.
Great. This kind of thing seems like the natural progression of why you have been doing.
vintagecreativemedia I sort of look at these type of videos as specials. Hopefullt more to follow.
Interesting video. Thank you. More about the stolen gun please.
I don't know any more about the stolen gun.
Lived in Shoreham in the 50's and knew of it but not "open" to the public then.
Very interesting again. Must have taken a long time for local labourers to build that fort. How long did it take to build?
I am not sure Ian. I think a couple of years.
Ian The fort was a prototype to all the Palmerston Forts and so had to be built quickly. The fort therefore was built in only 6 months 😳
