We should give up this obsession with things like sunroof 'lite' (as that tiny-ish cutout that most cars in this segment offer, cannot be called a 'sunroof'), wireless charging.. like how many people buying these cars have a phone that supports wireless charging! Wireless carplay and A-auto is amazing.. quite a handy feature.. and so are ventilated seats, since our tropical climate can be daunting... I feel it's best to start criticising logically as to which feature should be prioritised and which shouldn't 🤷♂️
I like sunroof. It's not a must have but sunroof is something only premium segment cars used to offer back then and now it's nice to see so many brands offering it in sub 10 lakh rupee cars.

Fantastic review, honestly. Test drove the mid-spec turbo a few days ago and was impressed - 4 adults in the vehicle and it didn't feel sluggish or weak. Shifting from 2nd to 3rd is a bit of a long throw but you won't be racing around anyway. The engine does get loud when you put your foot down hard but you won't drive it like that daily. Really, not a bad car at all.
205mm ground clearance is superb which will make it very pratical for many Indian roads but i hope it have more power atleast 1.2 ltr cc ( i have not tested it and maybe 1.0 ltr may be enough )
Bro any ground clearance over 165 mm is good enough for a decent driver on Indian roads. This Ground clearance is a stupid and silly point bought up by Indian buyers who cannot drive properly.
Excellent Review .. Kiger looks like Kwid on steroids :) and at times Triber on Diet :) The sound insulation could be a deal breaker compared to competition .. Remember Honda city IDTEC Noise insulation issues
Batao it's trunk light is an accessory 😑😑😑😑. Indian govt in automakers me kuch danda karo taaki inka cost cutting ka keerda hate dimaag se. Nahi tho fine thoko saalo me. Nowadays automakers are doing such LAME cost cutting.
The only shortfall is the engine which should have been the 1.2 litre turbo which the Renault/Nissan group already have in their portfolio. It then would have been perfect for Bharath. The engine I am referring to is TCe130 - 132 PS (97 KW; 130 HP) at 5,500 rpm and 205 Nm (20.9 kg·m; 151.3 ft·lb) at 2,000 rpm or also called the Nissan HRA2DDT (1.2 DIG-T). Lack of this bigger engine makes for turbo lag being pronounced till 1600 rpm.
@@subharoy7566 Unfortunately it is the puny 1.0 litre turbo engine in the Kiger, instead of the respectable 1.2 litre turbocharged engine, which finds its way into the Citroën C3.
@@masterprattu the Renault Duster and the Renault Koleos which has been stopped from manufacturing are both very long lasting. I have no idea about their smaller cars regarding longevity. Presently the Citroen C3 is technically the best option, but the only issue is untested service and spares. The C3 is made well for the price, except for the lack of rubber dust beading at the base of all the doors.
Well tbh the higher ground clearance is just a gimmick. In city conditions you need a softer suspension for better ride quality. After all kitne hi potholes bacha logey?
Never seen such kind of pliant suspension setup.. Will be the best in class as far driving through bumpy roads are concerned. Seems to be a winner with Renault
After the test drive I have put away my decision to book the vehicle 1. The steering is unnecessarily tight and lacks total feedback. 2. The clutch is hard and long travel. 3. The gearbox is wierd in the sense it's kinda not smooth and had long travel. These 3 things are the most important and basic things that need to be good in a car and drive this one lacks these I don't think one would enjoy it even have a stress free ride. Think twice before buying. Also the non turbo engine is totally response less. Turbo engine is a gem.

Basic safety feature of rear wiper and defogger is missing from the base version. Thats seems to be a wrong choice over Magnite. Small rear can can only be noticed if we can view rear in rain and fog !

cruise control is present in 2022 top end cvt model, sun roof is a non required accessory which i am least bothered
