Shopping, Adventureland Treehouse (an attraction, but not a ride), and exploring the Pirate Lair on the old Tom Sawyer’s Island (yes you have to take a raft “ride” to get there, but once there it is just walking around). At DCA there is PhilHarmagic, Turtle Talk, Animation Academy, and Redwood Creek Challenge Trail.
Not sure that I considered which parade would be less crowded, but thanks for the tip! Headed there in less than 2 weeks with the 4 kiddos for the first time! Should be fun!!!
If you want the best seats, try grabbing a bench on Main Street as soon as the first parade is over. You'll have to wait a bit longer, but you'll also have the absolute best seats possible for the show!
