Violence is really bad in Sweden, and due to NO cctv cameras the police cant do anything. The medical system is free but very very bad, the doctors dont check only the nurses do. And there is a very evident fact that children of immigrants are being taken by welfare service. SWEDEN is a very cold and emotionless place. How do I know? I don't think so. A country with 1.4 billion people is way past change. Even at the time of independence, India was overpopulated to be a great country. Some things like crime, pollution, public services, etc., can only be solved if the population is low. Europe's problems are also due to high population.

Most Indian go out to earn money -> Sweden has a focus on Work-Life balance, salaries not on par with US. Most Indians want to save money -> Sweden has a very high standard of living which is very expensive. Most Indians prefer house help/maids -> Sweden everyone almost gets equal pay so unaffordable. So living in Sweden required a different mindset that is not for everyone. Most people are unaffected or have almost never witnessed the issue highlighted in the video.. Just my 2 cents :-)

I studied in Sweden and lived there for 2 and a half years between 2008 & 2011. I paid zero tuition fees. Sweden abolished free education for Non EU citizens in 2011. Around that time there were already a whole lot of immigrants from African nations, Srilanka & the troubled middle east who came to Sweden as asylum seekers. There was almost no violence. It was peaceful. Sure the Swedes are not the most friendliest of people but neither were they haters/racists. As more and more people of a particular religion started coming in, pockets of no go zones started to develop. The Swedes are mostly non religious and this particular community is known to be uber religious. So, the culture shock is obvious which in turn creates a hostile environment.

My colleague and her husband both working as proffesors in Swden returned to Tamilnadu ,Chennai. Their reason for the return is higher education of the children and proximity to family and relations. Its been 3 years and they are quite happy in Chennai

I understand! My first colleague as an IT developer was Indian. He had been hired for 1 year and did not even know all communications within the company. I felt sad for him. Everyone expected him to just "tag along" & produce code. He left shortly after i joined. He was kind but not really invited. Everyone speak Swedish even if he was in the team. This is just 1 experience but i kept it with me. He could not keep up in the office culture. He was barely introduced to the social aspect of work life. Sad. Im 100% sure this guy was a great Asset. I left the town of Stockholm because it made me sick. Stressful. Criminal. Isolated. Not safe. Fake "family culture" & bad profit. Shootings, stabbings & 2~ hour travel time if you cannot afford living in the city core. Crime & Drugs everywhere. Its bad right now.

I live in Sweden. My honest observation regarding Indians living in Sweden is that Indians hardly integrate into societies where they move to. Here in Sweden just like in many other countries they move to, they regroup into only Indian areas, hardly learn the language. Most of the time you see them moving on groups as Indians. Unfortunately integration it’s a MUST here in Sweden. You integrate and assimilate into the way we live here otherwise you will find Sweden boring. In any case Sweden is way better than India in many ways. debating here.
Thats quite an interesting observation. Cause indians are mostly english speaking and become lethargic while learning a different language other than english. Mostly indians who migrate to other countries are techies or software engineers. With the growing technology they need to constantly upskill themselves which leaves less time for learning a language. I am Swedish. It is basically correct what you say. But important to note is that the Swedish police haven't given up on the no-go zones. The police are attacked there all the time, but then they send more policemen there than to peaceful areas. The police also carries more powerful guns there and get more training to face riots
Don't be stupid. People from India go to a highly developed nation like Sweden for better opportunities. They are today returning for a different reason. There is an economic boom in India offering better opportunities. Also, the high cost of living in Sweden, particularly in cities like Stockholm, can be a significant strain, making it more attractive for Indians to achieve a similar or better lifestyle in India at a lower cost. Then there is the language issue and cultural barriers making it difficult for Indians to integrate. None of this has to do with Islam.

I taught in Sweden for 2 years at Lund University. While the colleagues and the intellectual ambience was very very very enjoyable, the weather and the hard work of household chores (with a toodler) made life very tough. Even then the refugees tending towards criminal activities was a problem with car burning gangs in Malmo. And the locals were pretty helpless on how to control all this without changing their liberal mindset of "lagom". Basically, I made friends for life (I think) but came back after 2 years in 2016. I still miss that work environment, but it suits my family better her in Calcutta.

They build very few new houses and apartments. Appalling school system. Swedish children are least educated in the industrial world. Medical care is said to be tax-financed and cheap, but its hard to get an appointment to a doctor. Cheap but unaccessible.

Core reason is simple - European IT salaries and Indian salaries are almost same for highly skilled workers but in India we can save more, have better quality of life by having access to house help, good food and of course living with the parents and friends. Hence, Europe is no longer a preferred choice for highly skilled Indians.

Ok, I'm a native swede and even it it can't be denied that there is a huge amount of problems here in Sweden not least due to the high crime rate caused by the immigrants from middle east and north africa, there is no other place on earth I'd like to live before Sweden. It's true that the climate here in Sweden is cold, (and dark in the winter), but spring, summer (unless it is raining too much) and autumn is spectacular seasons. With that said, I've been to India as a tourist for four months (2018-2019), travelling from the north to the very south, and even if my experience was not all bad, I have no desire to go back to India. With that said, I've been to Nepal twice (2018, 2022, and I would like to go back) I've been to Taiwan (2023), (very nice and beautiful country), I've been to Japan (2019) going back 10-2024, but India. No, I don't think so.

The Indians in Sweden tend to be better educated than most other Migrants. Indians seem to be very ambitious and will go where the salaries are good moreover, if you are a high value worker, Sweden has very high Taxation and this is why so many high net worth and Graduate Engineers are better off in US , Malaysia, Singapore and New Zealand . Well the concept of equality and human rights never existed in Indian culture. It's not ambition so much as betterment of the country and your fellow citizen is not indian tradition. Just look at the stratified society and cultural hierarchies that have existed always. Even gandhi only learnt about human rights after he went to read law at a British university. Very difficult to understand the culturally homogeneous Scandinavians and their idea of society if ones tradition and culture are diametrically opposite. India has a high gini coefficient, and that's ok by them.

Most Indian go out to earn money -> Sweden has a focus on Work-Life balance, salaries not on par with US.
Most Indians want to save money -> Sweden has a very high standard of living which is very expensive.
Most Indians prefer house help/maids -> Sweden everyone almost gets equal pay so unaffordable.
So living in Sweden required a different mindset that is not for everyone.

I studied in Sweden and lived there for 2 and a half years between 2008 & 2011. I paid zero tuition fees. Sweden abolished free education for Non EU citizens in 2011. Around that time there were already a whole lot of immigrants from African nations, Srilanka & the troubled middle east who came to Sweden as asylum seekers. There was almost no violence. It was peaceful. Sure the Swedes are not the most friendliest of people but neither were they haters/racists. As more and more people of a particular religion started coming in, pockets of no go zones started to develop. The Swedes are mostly non religious and this particular community is known to be uber religious. So, the culture shock is obvious which in turn creates a hostile environment.

I understand! My first colleague as an IT developer was Indian. He had been hired for 1 year and did not even know all communications within the company. I felt sad for him. Everyone expected him to just "tag along" & produce code. He left shortly after i joined. He was kind but not really invited. Everyone speak Swedish even if he was in the team.
This is just 1 experience but i kept it with me. He could not keep up in the office culture. He was barely introduced to the social aspect of work life. Sad. Im 100% sure this guy was a great Asset.

Most of the Indians in Sweden are international students. Hardly an exodus, it's just students going back to India. And less students selecting Sweden to study abroad

the real reason is that Sweden deregistered thousands of people that were registered as residing in Sweden this year that in reality left years ago but forgot to de-register. So there's no exodus of people in reality... more people are moving to Sweden than leaving. I live in Sweden. My honest observation regarding Indians living in Sweden is that Indians hardly integrate into societies where they move to. Here in Sweden just like in many other countries they move to, they regroup into only Indian areas, hardly learn the language. Most of the time you see them moving on groups as Indians. Unfortunately integration it’s a MUST here in Sweden. You integrate and assimilate into the way we live here otherwise you will find Sweden boring. In any case Sweden is way better than India in many ways. debating here.

Thats quite an interesting observation. Cause indians are mostly english speaking and become lethargic while learning a different language other than english. Mostly indians who migrate to other countries are techies or software engineers. With the growing technology they need to constantly upskill themselves which leaves less time for learning a language. I taught in Sweden for 2 years at Lund University. While the colleagues and the intellectual ambience was very very very enjoyable, the weather and the hard work of household chores (with a toodler) made life very tough.
Even then the refugees tending towards criminal activities was a problem with car burning gangs in Malmo. And the locals were pretty helpless on how to control all this without changing their liberal mindset of "lagom".
Basically, I made friends for life (I think) but came back after 2 years in 2016. I still miss that work environment, but it suits my family better her in Calcutta.

Sweden has lots of problems. Beuraucracy in getting work permit. Sweden has extreme housing problems, extremely hard to find an affordable apartment or house. They build very few new houses and apartments. Appalling school system. Swedish children are least educated in the industrial world. Medical care is said to be tax-financed and cheap, but its hard to get an appointment to a doctor. Cheap but unaccessible.
Whereas in India we get primary health care for free from government and and there is no such thing of appointment in India

Core reason is simple - European IT salaries and Indian salaries are almost same for highly skilled workers but in India we can save more, have better quality of life by having access to house help, good food and of course living with the parents and friends.
Hence, Europe is no longer a preferred choice for highly skilled Indians.

Ok, I'm a native swede and even it it can't be denied that there is a huge amount of problems here in Sweden not least due to the high crime rate caused by the immigrants from middle east and north africa, there is no other place on earth I'd like to live before Sweden. It's true that the climate here in Sweden is cold, (and dark in the winter), but spring, summer (unless it is raining too much) and autumn is spectacular seasons. With that said, I've been to India as a tourist for four months (2018-2019), travelling from the north to the very south, and even if my experience was not all bad, I have no desire to go back to India. With that said, I've been to Nepal twice (2018, 2022, and I would like to go back) I've been to Taiwan (2023), (very nice and beautiful country), I've been to Japan (2019) going back 10-2024, but India. No, I don't think so.

Well the concept of equality and human rights never existed in Indian culture. It's not ambition so much as betterment of the country and your fellow citizen is not indian tradition. Just look at the stratified society and cultural hierarchies that have existed always. Even gandhi only learnt about human rights after he went to read law at a British university.
Very difficult to understand the culturally homogeneous Scandinavians and their idea of society if ones tradition and culture are diametrically opposite. India has a high gini coefficient, and that's ok by them.

No, you know little about sweden, If your income isnt much as what they expect it to be..you cant renew your working visas the following year which they dont care if you have brought all your family members to live in sweden..you will need to go back home..many have complained about this tactic of sweden, nobody ever been able to renew their visas before reaching their fifth year of stay that will enable them to earn a swedish passport, sorry dude sweden migrationverket have always outsmarted people like you !!!

Go & learn Scandinavia history, how Nordic systems works about their rules/ policies etc
Thay are very lenient in immigration policies specifically Sweden,
Incase you are skilled, hardworking, progressive mind, willing to contribute in society, peace permoting, civilised person.
Northern Europe is different from other European countries so, learn their culture values & language in order to integrate in society.
Many people are staying for years but never trying to learn native language, never try to upgrade their skills, never attend culture classes (events / exhibitions), People Livin theirs own community's (segregation).
By the end of the day U will end up kicking out of Sweden.
People beating their kids badly, not follow traffic 🚦 rules, hate speechs on social media, missing benifits,
crimes, always relying on welfare milking the system, students always overstay, fake asylum, workers not paying tax in system, kids in school found connected with gangs, than so many south asians like protesting for khalsa, imran khan arrest, student march over in Bangladesh etc
Ok their is problem with Swedish govt thay are also strict most of time but we need to respect ok
