I was so sick two weeks ago bad sore throat, and flue symptoms ,39.9 to 40 degrees my fever every night for 5 days ,but I question is my fever only go high in the evening but morning times will go to 36.9 i become ok, the funny is I never consumed paracetamol when my fever go high ,just drink water.I tried antigen test nop negative.then after that PCR test negative but after 16 days with no symptoms I was ok back to normal ,I did the PCR test danm positive after that I did my antigen test 5 times was negative so confused, what’s is going on in my body .
You have to remember that PCR checks for genetics/DNA of the bloody virus. Meanwhile antigen test is the protein/crown shaped spikes of the virus. The limitation in antigen test kit is they could not detect small number of the proteins. Pcr (the ct value) amplifies the DNA, normally 33-35 folds of amplifications can be detected by antigen test kit. But with lower amplifications/DNA copy number say around 24 folds of amplifications, the antigen test kit are not able to detect it hence it is negative. So we called it as false negative. At early stage when you had signs of sore throat and fever at day 0-1, it is best to check with pcr. Starting day 3 usually after high fever, only then the antigen test kit able to give positive result. You are already recovered. The remaining of the DNa copy of the virus will remain there in the body, but your immune system already took care of it, hence it will serve as a memory for your immune system for the next infection. That was pretty long I hope u get it 😂
I have covid now. Test negative on Tuesday will lots of headaches and dry throat and some fever. Wednesday positive Today is day 5 and I'm good but still positive. It's s really different virus and acts weird
What a difference a few months make. This guy says after 5 days isolating take a test, if still positve, next day take another test, until getting a negative result. Some are showing positive tests with these at home kits for months. So we should just test everyday till we get that negative result? No. This guy's advice is no longer valid, merely 4 months later.
Seriously… I’m in the same boat, totally recovered from mildest of mild symptoms (no cough, no fever, and I’m a pack a day smoker…) and I continue to test positive after day 11 (12 days since initial test) with those at home kits, and I feel 100% fine. I’m going stir shit crazy isolating in my room
RATs are not "garbage". They're just less sensitive. But that's a good thing if you want to know if you're infectious enough not to be out. Also, PCR is administered by a professional. Are you sure you administered the RAT correctly?
you have to wait 10 days before u can come out of isolation with a positive home test, even then, you need to be free of a fever and must wear your mask.
