Hi everyone! Here is the final product. It's finally complete! Despite everything Yellowfang went through in her life, she endured and kept going, finding a new family (Cinderpelt and Fireheart) along the way.
This video is very sentimental to me as it helped me to get through a lot of difficult moments in my life and now it is complete it feels a little bittersweet; I finally accomplished creating a six minute short film but I also will no longer be working on it. But this just means I can hopefully make other things in the future if I decide to return to UA-cam.
Thank you all so much for your support and kind comments on the trailer, I really hope you all enjoy the finished video. Not only is this a gift to my mum, but it is also a thank you to the Warriors Community!
This was animated entirely by myself. The cat and crow models were sculpted, textured and rigged by myself in Blender, for the textures I used copyright free images from Google and Substance Painter to edit their designs. The environment layout and lighting was arranged by me but the models for the trees and grass are from Botaniq and Bagapie. I highly recommend using them to create forests! This took me a little over three years to make. It was rendered on a 3060 TI and later on a 4090 which really helped to speed up the rendering process once I saved up money for it from a previous job I had.

IT IS SO FREAKING BEAUTIFUL!! This looks like something I would watch in a movie theater. The graphics are already breathtaking enough but then the music and the way the story of yellowfang was perfectly captured makes it even more emotional. What’s even more impressive is how you made this all by yourself, and delivered the most high quality 3D animation I have even seen

That death scene had me CRYING man... I've seen art of and read the main bits of that scene a ton over the years, but seeing it actually play out in "live-action" was a completely different experience.
I am absolutely in awe of the obvious work and passion that went into this animation, and the fact that you created it entirely by yourself!!! Everything looks so beautiful and conveys the story so well, and you did an amazing job designing the cat models to be a lovely mix of realism with more exaggerated facial expressions (a blend that I think the actual upcoming Warriors show/movie should take note on!). The environments are crafted so well and really help you feel like you are LIVING this life story, and overall, everything feels so cinematic!
I remember seeing the original back when I was a kid - it introduced me to the song and I was shocked at how perfect it was for a Yellowfang project! I'm so, so happy to see this remake completed - the improvement is insane, and I'm sure that your loved ones would have absolutely adored it and been so touched by the effort you put into creating something so gorgeous in their memory.
I don't spend a lot of time thinking about Warriors these days, but Yellowfang was such an important character to me growing up. Thank you for bringing her to life again.
I am a Yellowfang lover. If they dont make her death as gutwrenching as this in the actual movie/series, (not sure) I'm simply just going to fight the producers.
The amount of dedication put into an 8 MINUTE long animation with such breathtaking scenes while needing so little help is incredible.
I did love reading about Yellowfang, and this video absolutely does her justice.

It's been many years since I read warrior cats so I didn't expect to cry but here I am bawling my eyes out. I read the book where Yellowfang dies not long after my own mothers death and this brought back memories of being 14 years old crying over a yellowfang video which was basically just a bunch of stolen fanarat with a random song. Since then the art and animation in the warriors fandom has grown and changed so much, this animation is beautiful.
Wow what a massive project and a massive accomplishment to have completed it. The sheer volume of unique rendered scenes for this fast-paced AMV is really stunning. It's difficult to complete a project of this size and I hope you're very proud of yourself for making it over the finish line. The scene after the fire is so touching too. You really succeeded with the storytelling in this one. Tremendously well done! Congratulations :)
I was not ready to see Yellowfang’s death in high definition, I cried just as I did when I read the scene for the first time! This is really stunning work, thank you for all of the love you’ve put into the series over the years.

This is absolutely beautiful. Completely worth the wait. The style and flow of the animation reminds me of video game cutscenes. I'd definitely play a warrior cats video game if it had cutscenes that looked like this. The lighting is absolutely stunning and the character designs--especially Fireheart and Yellowfang--are recognizable and appealing. Their faces are very expressive, and it's obvious that you put a lot of thought into their body language. I'm very happy to have caught the premiere. :3

I'm SOBBING. I cannot stop crying over this and I didn't even think it would hit me that hard. I remember crying over Yellowfang's death when reading the book, which must've been like... 11 years ago? I certainly didn't expect to be crying this much after so many years.

This was a masterpiece from beginning to end. The death scene in particualr made me shed more tears than I'm proud of. My grandma is currently on her death bed, so perhaps that's why Yellowfang's speech to Firestar hit a little closer to home this time 'round. Thank you for sharing your talents with us, and for finishing this video, too. I wish you nothing but the best, and hope your mental health improves. :D

Take my like and nod but I couldn't finish watching this. I foster cats and have both loved and said goodbye to too many of them. This was incredibly moving but far too moving given that we just recently relinquished a long term foster to seek his forever home. The loss is still tender and he looked so much like Yellowfang.

That was a beautiful story of her. She's like, one of my fav characters! And I love Bluestar too. I didn't know the brownish cat was Firestar, I thought it was another female cat, who then I thought might've been a good fit for Yellowfang. Gee. Firestar and Yellowfang had such a good relationship, mother/son wise.
