Yes, it was EC163! Our trip was last fall, though, so definitely double check with the OBB website and when you book in case the numbers have changed, and of course be sure to book a seat in the right car! If you have the time we would absolutely recommend it. Comfortable ride and good scenery!
Thankyou for showing that this is also possible. I have one question, did you have to change the trains in this journey? As the booking website is showing the option of Panaroma seats, but this journey is also showing one change, and the change time is only 3 minutes. Is that accurate? How to change trains in such short amount of times with children and luggage?
Hi! We don't recall any train changes, though it is of course possible there has been a schedule change or some sort of irregularity. If the short transfer is a concern, you may wish to contact the train company if there is a phone or email on their website!
We just bought normal first class tickets, but the special part is that the Panorama Car only runs on the morning eastbound and afternoon westbound trains. We made sure to select this car when choosing our seats.
We will be in Zurich for 2 full days. Is it worth buying the Swiss pass and would it include this kind of train ride? as we plan to also go to Jungfraujoch for a day.
We didn't use the Swiss Pass, so can't comment on value there. We'd recommend using the SBB website to price out the individual trips you plan to take and then see how the pricing balances out against a rail pass. Keep in mind many of the special trains like the Panorama Express will require an upgrade or seat reservation fee on top of the pass!
I've done this route but on a Railjet it's stunning 😍
Espetacular
Hello - which side of the panorama carriage is best for views? Is it the side with the 4 seats or the 2 seats?
Was this train EC 163? Thinking about taking this longer route to Venice Italy. Do you recommend it?

Hello, Greetings from Mexico, my family and I want to take this train, on which page can I buy tickets for this panoramic train?
Hi! We have links to the official train operator websites in the video description. You can buy tickets online via those sites.
How long does it take from zurich to innsbruck?
The train ride is just over 3.5 hours, including stops.
@@DiversifiedDiversions Seems way better than flying to Vienna then taking a 4.5 hr train ride
Hi, what train pass did you get? Did you have to pay any extra on top of it?
