MashaAllah, listening to our beloved sheikh
Asalamou alaikum brothers and sisters. I would like to make a very humble but yet powerful comment about this fine human being, namely, Sheikh Imran Hosein. While all the learned scholars of Islam who had been misguided in understanding the meaning of the verse talking about Nabi Essa being either the sign or the knowledge of the hour due to a "tasquil ", I believe they were all sincere in their attempt to explain the verse. But while this Sheikh is also well learned and sincere in his attempt to explain the verse, his discovery of the fact that the " tasquil " was wrong is indeed a gift from ALLAH. But that's not the difference between him and them. I sincere believe that the source of his gift is what actually made the difference between him and them. I have listened to him talked about how his father had given up his true love for a woman just because he wanted his children to be raised as Muslims and not Christians. This to me made the difference. He gave up the joy and pleasure of this Dunya for the sake of having his children be raised up in the most properly uncorrupted way of living prescribed by ALLAH. In other words, he gave up the Dunya for ALLAH'S sake sincerely in his heart and the fruit of that decision is his son, our beloved Sheikh Imran Hosein in this Dunya. May ALLAH reward his father more good in the hereafter for being faithful to ALLAH'S chosen way of living "the Deen of islam". The lesson is that once you sincerely give up any pleasure of this Dunya for ALLAH'S sake, be rest assured that the reward is on the way coming. So we must all be very careful in what we wish for and pray for because this fact can be traced all the way back to the prophets. Like the prayer of Nabi Ibrahim being answered in the form of our beloved prophet( pbuh) and the prayer and wish of the mother of the Virginia Mary being answered in the form of Nabi Essa (pbuh) in my opinion. As always only ALLAH knows best. May ALLAH continue to guide and protect us especially our learned brothers and sisters as they lead the ummah because we must remember that Satan said he will even wait for us in the straight path to ALLAH and set traps for us right just so we may be deviated from the right path. as-salaamu "alaykum Shaykh. I hope that you are well. I met you once upon a time in Cape Town. Some of your students who were friends of some of those who attended my lectures wanted me to meet you and discuss with you the Knowledge of the Book - al-kitaab. I was reluctant as I did not go out of the house for many years but thought that it would be good to meet you - thinking about the many occasions stated in videos that you would like to meet those who differed with your understanding. When I was brought to the residence you were at and met you, you were not aware of the meeting and you were quite tired from strenuous activity. But, nevertheless, you were reluctant to discuss the matter of the book - al-kitaab - which I was going to expound. I do not think that you were fully aware of what I had wanted to present. I, too, have delved very deeply into all the subjects you yourself have embarked upon. I too have been occupied with a vast amount of books which I am in the process of making known - 'in shaa' ALLAAH.
In 1993, I had a telephone conversation with Shaykh Deedat about a closely related subject. He said to me that there is one question he has and that, as yet, no one in the world could have given him an answer to the question to his full satisfaction. Within ten minutes he said that I had taught him more knowledge in ten minutes than he had learned in all his life. When he had come to Cape Town he announced in mosques if anyone had known me. I was informed and I met Shaykh Deedat. I gave him my presentation of The Qur'aan Cosmological Model. We had communications and I met him at his Durban Office and he made a video recording of my presentation. For a number of years after that, I ceased public attention. In 2008 I met the Shaykh again when he had been bedridden. I bought a writing board and gave the Shaykh lessons on the Knowledge of the Book - al-kitaab. On the third day of my meeting with the Shaykh, his son, Yusuf Deedat, told me that his father had wanted to bestow upon me his kufiyyah - religious cap. He told me that his father had never done such a thing before. And he said that his father wanted me to put on the kufiyyah the day I begin my lectures to the public. He took photographs of the occasion, including where I had to put my hand on the head of the Shaykh and take off the kufiyyah and put it on my head. Yusuf Deedat then presented me with a laminated chart of the photographs. I only revealed this about ten years later on my Facebook.
