Two questions. 1) Who made this video. 2) Will you please make more? Great job! Pat crushed this build too. Seems like a cool guy/story!
We make it(Airplanes in the Wild. I am Daniel, the owner of Sport Aircraft Seats, and my videographer named Josh. We have several more similar videos already made and will be releasing 1 per month until summer when our posting frequency will increase. Thanks for following along.
Is it licensed experimental exebition?
@@earlpreston1043 It's experimental not exhibition only. It works for a living!
Sir, thank you for sharing this incredible plane that you and friends have spent much time on. I hope one day I can own something like it or even less. Also thank you for your devotion!

The PA-16 was pipers first answer to the Cessna 170. Awesome plane. It even has sticks, unlike the PA-20.
You have a really nice plane there.

That nam vet spoke at my school in Houston when I was in elementary or junior high .
Awesome. What an inspiration
Awesome story. When i get my certificate, I’m going to want some Alaska training. Not because i want to be dangerous but because i want to be a well rounded pilot.
Sounds like a great plan
Hey. Really cool bushmaster. I’d love to talk to you about the build at some point. Oban.
Pat is the builder you can contact him through his UA-cam channel @iflyalaska-official
Money no object!
Rad
Is there any issue with heat induced metal fatigue on the landing gear since it’s sitting directly in the exhaust flow?
I’ve never heard of that being a problem. Seems pretty unlikely since this thing cruises around at 90+mph and is air cooled.
What are you using for a camera mount?
For the air to air shots? We are using our hands.
Hands is what I use too! No I meant the giant pole on the wing
When I built this bird I ran an aircraft usb power supply out to the end of the wing for a camera that is switched in the panel. Then I added steel brackets to mount a pole so I could run a 360 camera a few feet in front of the wing. makes for some fun drone like shots.
you mean a Maule?
Nope definitely a stretched Pacer. You probably know this but the Maule airplane company came about after Belford had a beef with the Piper company and then left to start his own company starting with his own version of the Pacer. Since then they have become a GREAT company. Brent and his family are still building amazing airplanes at Maule.
No
How much gas do you have?
54 gallons total fuel. The two stock tanks are 18 gallons each plus I have dual Aux tanks that are 9 gallons each.
That is one awesome airplane!
