Hey guys! A short one just going through the removal and repair of the front of the 1937 Chevy! Scott, your attention to detail is unmatched...The top shell to your grille looks about as perfect as it ever did. I worked at a plating shop for 11 years and spent many, many hours repairing and polishing car parts. None of us could have done any better than you did. What it comes down to is willingness to do the work...
Love these quick midweek episodes! Great way to get a quick CWM fix. “I’m just going to clean this up a little and make it more presentable. Not a restoration.” Scott then proceeds to make it look better than anything I could ever do. Why I love this show.
Dear billy hord. 👍👌👏 As a Mercedes Benz driver I know exactly what you are talking about. Unfortunately they real grills stopped to be on their cars around 1995 (last real one was on the W124 type). Best regards, luck and health in particular.
Great episode! I give you a LOT of respect for giving your niece the credit for her work around the shop. Kudos to you for teaching and her parents for raising a child with a passion for automobiles. Loved the "shave and a haircut" on the grill and grill shell. I always learn something watching you massage dents out of tight spaces. Most important lesson? Knowing when to stop. Hardest thing to learn? Knowing when to stop. 😅😅 Happy Weekend!
I never get tired of these midweek updates. Your niece did a fantastic job cleaning up the front. Amazing work on the grille. I’m really glad that you don’t have all the trim work to do here that you had on the Fury. That was brutal. Now I am anxiously awaiting Saturday. 👍 Scott.
Dear CWM Scott N. 👍👌👏 I absolutely love when your videos have this happy puppy introduction! 2) Another nearly unbelievable fantastic repair result. I'm totally impressed but not amazed after witnessing all the great trim repair for the spliced Fury. It was extraordinary good ane I would probably never have the patience and discipline to have done all that. 3) Of course, after the snow is gone, I'm very eagerly awaiting the first test drive. Golden Chev will be fun to watch. Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading, sharing and especially for not cussing/swearing. Best regards luck and especially health to all involved life forms (humans and dog).
HI THERE!!!! I HAVEN'T WRITTEN TO YOU SINCE STELLA WENT TO HEAVEN.... I HAVE TO SAY I FINALLY BOUGHT MYSELF AN OLD CLASSIC CAR!!!!! FINALLY!!!! I BOUGHT A 1951 STUDEBAKER CHAMPION STARLITE COUPE. I'M VERY PLEASED. I CAN'T DO MUCH WORK ON IT MYSELF RIGHT NOW, BUT I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO DIGGING IN SOMETIME SOON. IT IS A DAILY RUNNER, I'M THANKFUL FOR THAT, OF COURSE IT COST ME A PRETTY PENNY TO GET IT THAT WAY.... MAN, I WISH I HAD ALL THE KNOW HOW LIKE YOU. I DO LEARN STUFF FROM YOU AND IT'S GREAT. I THINK I TOLD YOU I'VE BEEN WATCHING YOU SINCE THE BEGINNING!!! MY THAT'S A LONG TIME NOW!!! HOW GREAT IS THAT. I'M SO THANKFUL TO YOU AND ALL FOR CONTINUING DOING WHAT YOU DO.... I LOVE WATCHING YOU AND ALL. YOUR MY FAVORITE OUT OF MANY. WELL JUST WANTED TO SAY A HELLO TO YOU. TAKE CARE. I WILL WRITE AGAIN, JUST SO LONG I DON'T WAIT SO LONG. BYE CHRISTOPHER HERE IN OREGON. 😀😀😀😀
Very nice work Scott! I'm always impressed how any project you tackle is never just a 50/50 result. It's always so well done. The Chevy in that "survivor" condition is a dream car for me! My father took me to those awesome 1970's car shows and got me so into 1935-1950 era cars. I like all classic cars, but those will always be my favorites.
Scott, I truly admire your "METAL MAGIC" fixes. I so do wish I had known how to do that 25 years ago! But, it is a true JOY to watch you at all that good stuff. That is really a rare Chevy now. I wish I could ride with you in it. Be ever SO PROUD of all that you do and all that you share with us! Cheers, Rich
The fine quality of those Pressings is truly impressive when you think on the fact that this is a mass produced Chevrolet , not some expensive , limited production Packard or Cadillac or similar.
Scott, you truly are an old world craftsman. And tenacious as well but we need to be on these old clunkers. Who else is going to do it?? Nobody, that’s who. Cheers 🍻 JT
Since I perform additional dents and paint removal, it's amazing watching you do it correctly. You're a craftsman Scott. I know Frankers gave your work two paws up!
Love this! amazing what he can with metal, whether it is Stainless steel or sheetmetal. YOu can readily see that his hands feel as much as his eyes see, if not more! Great work!
I'm a grille watcher! I'm a grille watcher, watching grilles go by, my my my! 🎶 This is proving to be a super-sano 37 Chevy. In the old roddin' days, "sano" was slang for "sanitary." Don't get too sure about your sanity.
I share Frankers joy that Spring is finally here! But if I start rolling around on the front lawn the neighbors will REALLY think there is something wrong with me instead of wrenching on 50 yr old cars! 😎
*GRILLE* , not *GRILL* ya heathens! 🙂 As much as I admire your metal repair expertise, Scott - I think it's equal parts admiration for your *patience* when doing such tasks, too. The satisfaction once done properly must be a wonderful thing, my friend. Maybe one day, knock wood and grace of God, I can get off the hamster wheel and attempt to do some of the same sort of thing, too...rather than the usual "get this done, then get that done, nose to the grindstone" BS that pays the bills here. Another great mini-visit, a couple more really old episodes re-discovered this week and *thank you!* - Ed on the Ridge
As always, excellent work, Scott. The general condition of that car is amazing. I can see why you took it on. It's very satisfying to see the progression from non runner to a driveable vehicle. Great also to see your name popping up at Ivan's Shed. All the best, Mart in England.
Love the mid-week catch-uos!! That grill looks amazing, Scott. I know it's all time lapsed etc., but we know how much actual time you put into fixing these things. Kudos to you for putting in that time/effort!!! The results were phenomenal and the 37 is looking minty!! Thanks for all you do!! Love to you and Frankers!! Peace and Love!!
Great Job as usual Scott! Isn't it time for a Canadian Wild Life episode of The Wild Frankers and her usual spring shenanigans? Like your car shenanigans, I enjoy the Frankers coverage too.
I must say that grill for the Chev is a work of art. When you look at the plastic of today you wonder what direction the Auto business is going. Love your uploads! Cheers
Transforming what was already an eye-catching car, the grille fixes were to the usual top standard. My brother was visiting and we watched together, he doesn't normal "do UA-cam" so didn't believe my "just wait they'll be no visible dents or marks". I felt he was right when you showed us the undented but sanded pieces... then after polishing it was Oh wow!
Great work as usual. I didn’t even see the damage until you pointed it out. The dripping coolant was pretty clear. Amazing how much work you’ve put into a near immaculate barn find car.
The grill turned out fantastic great job today I went with a buddy and looked at a 67 Camaro all rusty no floors no trunk no motor no trans no interior just horrific he wants 14 Grand for it he's dreaming people want a lot of money for junk have a great day thanks for all awesome videos keeps me motivated
I wonder how many times in its life it's been crank started. 😁 It's nice to have the option if a guy has the nerve. Great work as usual on the trim. Cheers
That turned out great. And after the Fury, every trim repair exercise it's going to be easy and you'll never have to think 'okay, now for the next km of trim'.
Hi 9088! Yeah, I am glad I got the 60 out of the way first, as every car after it will seem easy when it comes to the stainless repairs... The Renault being #1 with a total of Zero KM of stainless! Cheers buddy!
Nice work Scott, You make it look not so hard, time lapse. I know it takes mad skills and a special hand & eye, plus experience, years of experience. As usual, another job well done. Take care Scott
Well, at least WCF wasn't wrecking a new haircut - tho she's clearly ready for spring. Chevy is looking excellent, I'm guessing this will another one the nieces will chauffer you around in, in the upcoming years. And it was good to see you had no 'flashbacks' in regards to polishing trim! Cheers all
Scott, great job. The 37 grille is a real nightmare to remove and anything needing repairs should be done when iffy. You did the right thing. I hate taking mine off, hate it! It looks great. Saturday is next. Cheers from Wisconsin.
The bottom buckets of the grilles on all the late 30's GM cars were often victims of curbs, and other obstructions. It is rare to find one that doesn't need repair or hasn't had repair done.

Those grills added so much style to those 30's and 40's cars and trucks. Real arterstry from real craftsman.
Dear billy hord.

Your stainless repairs never cease to amaze me. Great work
Loving the mid-week episodes! Thank you!
Glad you like them!
I cannot wait for the ride alongs coming in the Chevy. What a beautiful old girl.
It looks heavy, but that was when cars were made of metal, not the fecking flimsy foil used today. 😂🤣 great update👍👍

Great work Scott.
That Chev is a nice old girl.
Fixing the scratches? That's Fury territory. And why not? The old girl deserves it.
Watching you sort out dents just never gets old. Nice job.
That is such a beautiful grille. Looks a whole lot better now. Nice!
Nice of your niece to help out.
You did an amazing job Scott!
I am looking forward to seeing the 37 completed, like you and so many other viewers.
Keep having fun!
The hammer handle. The original PDR.👍
That old car sure has a lot of stories to tell. It's nice to see it coming back together in it's new life. Cheers!
Wow the repaired grille assembly looks so good! My favorite part though is the seamless brush blend job on the chin piece.
CWM needs more fire on their show...

Frollicking Frankers, and tapping out dings and dents. What a great Thursday.TY.Cheers!
I'm always impressed with your ability to repair stainless. Just makes the car so much better. And for you it doesn't take long.
Great seeing the old Chev's smile brightened. And Myniece sure does nice work too!

Scott cannot wait for the test drive she’s gorgeous. As others have said these shorty vids are good to keep us in the loop. Cheers Tim.
Since I perform additional dents and paint removal, it's amazing watching you do it correctly. You're a craftsman Scott. I know Frankers gave your work two paws up!
Dents don't stand a chance when Scott works his magic!:)
Love this! amazing what he can with metal, whether it is Stainless steel or sheetmetal. YOu can readily see that his hands feel as much as his eyes see, if not more! Great work!
Had to sit through a color-changing Bondo ad before I could watch this top-quality video.
I'm a grille watcher! I'm a grille watcher, watching grilles go by, my my my! 🎶

The 37 is going to be a real pleasure for you to drive around when it is done. It is a beautiful car ,great style.
Here’s hoping your niece will one day take over from where you awesome guys leave off. I hope she learns heaps ! 👍🏻👍🏻🔧🔧🔧
Frankers is happy that spring is arriving, Frankers was happy when winter arrived, Frankers is always happy. I like Frankers. LOL
Luckily, you had ample experience with stainless dents when doing the Fury.
Hello from Memphis. Finally spring here in the south. Garden dug and a CWM notification. Way to cap the day. Love that old chevy
As always, excellent work, Scott. The general condition of that car is amazing. I can see why you took it on. It's very satisfying to see the progression from non runner to a driveable vehicle. Great also to see your name popping up at Ivan's Shed. All the best, Mart in England.

A nice bit of the old PDR treatment for the Chev, and a nice bit of the old PDR (Puppy Dog Runnin) for the rest of us ;)
I must say that grill for the Chev is a work of art. When you look at the plastic of today you wonder what direction the Auto business is going. Love your uploads! Cheers
Hi Gordie! Yeah, I think we both know what direction the auto industry is headed, haha...Cheers!

Scott, this one heck of a specialty!! That vehicle struck gold when you bought it
Look at all that room for activities with the grill assembly out.
Frankers!!!❤
That looks quite a bit better. It's a good example of what talent and elbow grease can accomplish.
Great work as usual. I didn’t even see the damage until you pointed it out. The dripping coolant was pretty clear. Amazing how much work you’ve put into a near immaculate barn find car.
More of your world famous PDR ya gotta love it!!
Public Display of Restoration?
Scott...please do more of these types of videos.....love them. thx
That car's so nice, it actually deserves a bit of knit picking.
Not bad for an 85 year old car Scott. Great to hear we will be enjoying a test drive very soon!
Impressive repairs Scott.
The Chev is progressing nicely.
It's enjoyable watching .
Cheers!
You are doing an excellent job !!!!!!! You & your friends are
a credit to the old car hobby. 😊
Kevin Phoenix
She sure is looking good Scott. Cant wait for the test drive. ❤keep em comin.
Grille turned out great, Scott! Awesome work!
A nice bit of grilling!...very impressive
The grill turned out fantastic great job today I went with a buddy and looked at a 67 Camaro all rusty no floors no trunk no motor no trans no interior just horrific he wants 14 Grand for it he's dreaming people want a lot of money for junk have a great day thanks for all awesome videos keeps me motivated
You fixed it like nothing even happened thank you for the video
Beautiful job on the grill. See you Saturday.
Your an amazing fabricator. The grill looks great. Love this build on this car. Thank you for sharing! 💯👊
Nice grille repair Scott. That will look sweet in the open sun.
I wonder how many times in its life it's been crank started. 😁 It's nice to have the option if a guy has the nerve. Great work as usual on the trim. Cheers
Hand crank was useful for turning the engine over when testing or tuning up. Made it easy to adjust valves, points, timing.
@@mrdanforth3744 That makes sense.. :)
Nice job on that Scott and Frankers isn't the only one happy about spring coming. Cheers
Scott, don’t forget to thread the belt over the smog pump pulley… 😂😂😂
Wow super nice bright work 👌 got to love real trim no plastic plated trim
You polished that stainless like playin' a fiddle!
That turned out great. And after the Fury, every trim repair exercise it's going to be easy and you'll never have to think 'okay, now for the next km of trim'.

Grille looks a lot better. Job well done.
I cried that my '37 Chevy had a dented grille until I met a man that didn't have a '37 Chevy... :))

No big deal, just some more backyard wizardry!
Very nice! That car is pretty damn impressive for its age.
Scott your talent never fails to impress ! God bless
Great midweek show that grille looks good enough for a Rolls Royce or a Packard
Just a little cathartic dose of Coldwarmotors on a Friday morning in Oz …… Cheers Scotty…… have a great weekend 🍻🥃🍻🥃🍻🥃👍
Nice, a little bit of tin bashing and polishing make a huge difference.
Scott, great job. The 37 grille is a real nightmare to remove and anything needing repairs should be done when iffy. You did the right thing. I hate taking mine off, hate it!
It looks great. Saturday is next. Cheers from Wisconsin.
Cool beans, man.
"See" you on Saturday.
The bottom buckets of the grilles on all the late 30's GM cars were often victims of curbs, and other obstructions. It is rare to find one that doesn't need repair or hasn't had repair done.
No more snow!
You are a true craftsman! I wish I could fix a dent like you! My dents I fix look like dents that I tried to fix!😂
As perfect as it needs to be
Thanks for another “Brother “
Love that intro and exit music. Fitting relaxation after another fine show. Please don’t change anything. Can’t wait for Saturday. Thanx men.
Great Hands Scott... Well done.... Looking forward to seeing the 37 Drive..
Nice work Scott.
The Chevy’s looking bonnie!
Great work. I am looking forward to watching the test drive.
I dont know how you do it but you keep getting better & better! Fine Job Scott Regards from Ody Slim
Also, it looks to me like you are really lucky to be left handed, at least, most of the time. Love your show.
An older mechanic who taught me a lot used to say "You've gotta be a left-handed midget to reach that." At least he's got the left-handed part.
Very very nice job again Scott! You are Metal Masta!
Off to a beautiful and awesome sight,Franker's!
Back at trim work. Better than new!
