When my ex left my daughter and I to fend for ourselves in a foreign country, our home church turned their back on us, too. I had no money, no job and no way to get back to my home country. Yet, during these dark days, Jesus was closer than ever when things seemed hopeless. He provided in amazing ways that let us know He was near.

How awful! How wrong of them all, the church didn't help?? What on earth are tithings for, if not for those in need? Most churches think all that money is for then to get bigger paychecks and build bigger, fancier buildings instead of being modest!These churches are flashy, and unbecoming of one who ought to be helping their own communities. I find it revolting. People who have visited hell have said they were surprised to see so many priests and pastors etc. Because these teachers are held at a higher accountability to God for the extra power and blessings that the Lord entrusted them with to do the proper things such as saving those who are in desperate need of direction and financial help.

I'm a 57 year old woman who is a Christian. My husband is 50 and we've been married for 25 years. Even though I became a Christian at 13, at the time I got married I was far from living a Christian life. I've dedicated my life to Christ 7 years ago and found a church home that I love and trust very much. Spring City Baptist in Joplin, Missouri. Please pray for my husband Eric to come to Christ. I try to witness to him just by daily living, bc he is not the kind of man to be pressured. I know it's truely up to THE HOLY SPIRIT to move him. I love your videos. I'm glad THE HOLY SPIRIT never gave up on you.

I've have been homeless and hungry and lived in a tent and still love Jesus Christ no matter what came my way and now I'm in an apartment over my head and meals that I can cook and almost back to normal again but still single and going to church and learning to be a healer in Jesus Christ.
Congratulations Michael I Bryan for moving to your own apartment. Having a roof over your head is the first step. Hang on to Jesus. He has put a roof over your head, food on your table and you're in good health. Glory be to God. Keep serving God, He will bring the right person to your life. Love will find you! Take care brother. It is enough for me. But there's a family that has other wants and there's a government that wants it's taxes and there are the needy I would like to help and a world out there that SEEKS after all these things and Jesus said the Father knows you have need of these things and WILL GIVE YOU THEM.

@@aalot6744 Jesus said "you can do NOTHING WITHOUT ME". IF you're born-again believer you are never going to be without him because he said he will never leave you or forsake you.
Trusting Him today is easy because Christ died for us while we were yet sinners and His grace is sufficient for us to overcome our every trial.
I believe that no matter what state I am in, Jesus will always be enough for me. Jesus is the only Way, the only Truth, the only Life. Jesus is the only Way to the Father. Blessings
I was a pastor's daughter. People in churches drove me away from church attendance because of how they treated me, from childhood to adulthood, from the USA to my US Navy service in Italy and back to the US again, I went to church; I was often involved in some aspect of the church ministry. But the lack of love, the condemnation over superficial things (like that I wore 2nd hand clothes, or jeans because I was a passenger on a motorcycle going to church), yes it was the lack of love and acceptance that finally drove me away. The final straw was when a church wouldn't allow me to become a member, because they didn't accept my baptism, since it wasn't being baptised into that particular style of church! 🤦♀
And for many years now, I've been disabled and can't often leave my home. It's been lonely without the fellowship, but Yehovah has been still providing for me. And now, I'm finding people through online who I can fellowship with, because we have the love of our Savior and reading the scriptures and talking about our reading and learning. No, it's not the same as in person, but Yehovah is providing for me, and I am grateful.

I left my church that I had worked for. For many years, even as a child. But I was from the poor side of town. The girls from school in my class, Her Father was in choir with me. I would watch these hippocrites making eyes at each other and smiling lovingly in choir . They were both married to other people. But they did this in church. How could they believe and love God. ? They wouldn't let me get married there. They discontinued my membership at church. I helped build and clean that church. I did VBS as a kid. I helped with Sunday School. I took confirmation there. And I was dumped from my church. I loved that church. There's other churches too. I'm a dedicated person. I love church. I enjoy going and working there. Fellowship. I'm so sorry for you. Presently, I'll call those who can't get out, I let her talk non stop. She needs to have friends and people who care. This lady is about my age. So yes I call her ever so often. She can remember the good old days talking to me. I believe, it helps. God Bless You.

The Church will not save you, only Jesus can save you. Going to church is a “work”. We are not saved by works, but by faith, confession, and trust in Jesus Christ. The thief on the cross had absolutely NO WORKS. All he had was a last minute repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. He was saved by grace and not by attending or being a bonafide member of organized religion.
CS... God bless you dear one, you did well to get away from such a lot of legalistic people who seem more concerned with what people wear than OBEYING the Word of God. I had my own bunch of craziness in a few churches I've attended. And yes even when I forgave, turned the other cheek, they kept on. Women pastors that had no business preaching because that goes against the Word of God. I left when I noticed that this wasn't " CHURCH" it was more of a talent show, and that even if they had 5 pastors, they picked out whatever scriptures they could use to control the church and they could interpret in anyway THEY wanted it was all wrong.

@tim miller... You are so right on that. I want to be baptized but don't want a pastor who isn't true to God's word to baptize me. Made a promise to myself and God that I will get baptized this year...sooner the later. If anyone has any suggestions on who I should ask to baptize me would really appreciate it. 🙏❤️

Exactly! All of the mega-churches have eaten up the small churches. I can choose from bad or really bad. It's unfortunate.
My pastor was such a rarity in that he preached the truth, to the point he was apparently controversial in the local Baptist Committee. He taught via expository preaching, was unafraid to state that even communion should only be taken when you are saved. He above all though taught in a more organizational manner that churches that rely too heavily on a pastor do not last long without one. He ended up being called elsewhere to preached, and he answered that call from God to uproot. But God worked in our Church and while other churches are failing around us, we remained strong for a whole year before God finally sent us another pastor, whom has the same energy and love for Christ as our old one did. We still go out in public and serve, we still bring people in, we never turn someone away, and while our main congregation is still relatively small, we still are doing alright.

I remember my first time in 5th grade at a catholic school when an announcement came on the speaker that we were no longer able to say the LORDS prayer but were to put our hands over our hearts and recite the national anthem. I got suspended for a week because I loudly spoke the LORDS prayer instead. 🙏 🙏🙏

@Annie Oakley you are absolutely right. If you can find a group of family, friends, other believers you open YHWH's word & you fellowship at your home, at the park, by the lake... wherever you are. The Most High is not in buildings made by mans hands. Thats why its so hard to find a church that teaches truth. We are the church. Here's something to revisit.

I wonder what Joe would say about the responses here. Church is a congregation, people gathered and Paul lays out the offices of the church. I am not the church. This is the problem with teaching the "Universal" church. Church is local groups of Christians organised to carry out God's work.

Thank you. Our church has shrunk and our pastor is a wonderful man who never closed the doors of our church. Many people left because of this so we are about 13 total now, but we still stand with him and our church is still serving the community. Jesus is Lord. 😊

Oh I am so sorry for that! We are to help our fellow man as Pastor Artur Pawlowski does in Canada and was sent to jail for 3 days and now faces 21 more days in jail for simply preaching the gospel! He also feeds the homeless in front of the Canadian city hall and was fined thousands of dollars!

Songs we sing in church, even good churches, are all about us. I really can’t tolerate most contemporary Christian music. I finally found a local church that teaches scripture and sings the old hymns. The desire to meet with Gods people has returned in my life. And I thank God. Good word brother❤️
Praise the Lord! I grew up in a charismatic non-denom church. Then I came to a Baptist church at 20 years old and heard hymns and loved it. I love all the doctrine that is embedded in them. Now ten years later, by the grace of God I am a Pastors wife and so thankful He brought me out of a “feelings church” to a fundamental church

I did need to hear this. I repented in 2020. It's been very strange times since then and I haven't found a church yet. Social anxiety has gotten worse, but I'm so ready to be with other believers to worship and serve. Thank you for this message.

Find a church with small groups. You don't have to go to the big service until you're comfortable.
Praying for God to lead you..until He does, read the Word, and draw close to Jesus..He's right there with you..He said He will never leave us nor forsake us..He's our Good Shphered..Read the Psalms proverbs, for comfort and wisdom..the gospels to know Jesus better, the old testament to see the men and women of God, who had faith and talked to God..each book of the Bible points to Jesus...you are loved❤️🙏
Push yourself to find a credible church....Cuz as a young Christian you need the "word" to GROW in Christ...PRAYERS for you always!🙏💙 He will help you! Just ask him for WISDOM & his GUIDANCE! 🙏😇 💙

Thank you, When I started going to church I realized I was in the wrong church....banking machines in the lobby, pastor was above all and had no time for church goers, dressed very cool, he said he was a skateboarder. 15 minute money begging. I didn't care for the worship music. I now belong to a Baptist Bible teaching church and Old hymns are sung in my church. My church is smaller, much better.

I just want to say something. I backslid into my sin. And I was stuck in a pit of darkness. Constantly crying to God for help. And now I’ve finally quit that sin. Again. It’s been a week. Please you guys do not go back to your sin. What I’m trying to say is. “Though a righteous man fall seven times. He will rise again.”
I will keep you in prayer . Fast , put script in front of you and you will see that God's word is stronger that of the devil. The bible says God will not give you more than you could handle so I happy to tell you, you will not do it again you will fight with God's word and win. Then you can help other's . That's what it's all about the devil keeps people down in sin so they can't help their sister or brother in Christ. My daughter and I attended a church we loved so much. The people were so kind and welcoming. My daughter at the age of 15 became very ill with a potentially fatal cardiac disorder. She was rushed into surgery. The entire congregation were praying for my baby girl. Well her surgery went very well and we thought she was out of the woods. She came home to recover and our pastor would call to speak with her. Then my daughters condition started to deteriorate. Our pastor told us we needed to come back to church. I told him we couldn't at that time, but we would when her doctors gave the ok. My daughter had to undergo another surgery and her doctors told us she had to be isolated from viruses, and bacteria that could harm her heart. My daughter missed church so much and enjoyed the daily church emails that would be sent to her. When she couldn't go back right away the pastor deleted her from the email list. Our friends would not talk to her. To this day, eight years later I have tried to reach out, with no response. I'm now disabled and have to attend church online. I'm not bitter about what happened. But now I have online friends through my online church and we have Bible study also. I completely agree with what you are saying. But the saying wolf in sheep's clothing definitely describes what we encountered. I feel so blessed to have found your channel Joe. I can understand why people call you pastor Joe. You have such a gift sharing the word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

I am a single mom. Physically disabled and now my 12 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with an autoimmune disease ( they tend to be genetic so we both suffer different auto immune diseases. Plus my spine disability). Pain and severe exhaustion was keeping me from church. Plus her specialists are up at the holiday children's hospital almost 3 hours away. And I can no longer drive or afford a vehicle. We missed months of church. Because I watch numerous different online churches I thought I was still being fed. This past Sunday I ran into our pastor at the store the night before church. I felt convicted for being gone so long. Not by our pastor but by the Lord. Needless to say I pushed through the severe pain and fatigue and I dragged us to church that morning. Oh how I missed the fellowship and worshipping Jesus with others in person. I felt a renewing of Spirit. I came to realize I was letting the enemy keep me from church in person. Was it hard, pain wise? Excruciatingly. But the connection to our Lord again was so needed that I just couldn't get online. We were not jabbed as the Lord told me not to. So I completely understand needing to keep your daughter safe from any infection. I also trust in the Lords protection though. I hope when your daughter has healed and isn't at such a high risk for infection, that you are able to find a place you can go to together. Our children face so much we didn't, growing up and they need church. Don't do what I did and let disability keep you from going. I did and I deeply regret it. Severe pain is tough as it keeps us from so much. We need to push through for our sake and our children's sake.
And as far as how your church treated you and your daughter? All I will say is that is no way to lead a flock. May the Lord convict him and show him his wrongdoings to you and your daughter that he repent. I'm so sorry you both were treated in that manner. And at a time when you needed them. Maybe the Lord was showing you you belong at a different place?
I will lift your daughter and you in my prayers and I hope one day you can find a wonderful place in person to go to. Christ Jesus bless you and your family!
I'm so happy that you were able to attend your church.
I personally come from a family of pastors. Almost every generation on my Dads side. I feel very blessed. I was involved with this particular church in the beginning through music. My daughter is a professional performer. I started attending because she was singing for a special occasion. There was more to this than just her heart surgeries. I didn't want to put this out there, but now I will. We had people in the congregation trying to become famous through our connections. Sending disturbing emails filled with hate because we weren't helping them get famous. One of the base players who was 50 had a crush on my daughter and also the pastor stood up there and told all of us he was having inappropriate thoughts about the women sitting in this church. I didn't want to add this, but since this is a highlighted response I feel now that it's necessary to say.
When it comes to my children and their lives, I feel that the Lord has given me common sense. This is not a judgment for anyone choosing their church. But I happen to know alot about illness. I've had 17 surgeries in 15 years just to be able to respond. Pain, boy, you talk about pain. Drain tubes, drain bottles stitched to my abdomen you name it. So when my doctor tells me, you need to be here for your daughter, I listen. I feel that I've been blessed with surviving all of these surgeries and all of the knowledge I've learned to keep my baby safe. So we look at it from both sides.
I can call my Grandfather and have a personal service in my home without risking my child's life. Or go online. I remember my God Mother being so sick and not being able to attend. She thought it was a sin. I chose to stay home and take care of her on Sundays. I don't think I'm going to hell for this. God is about Love. In seeing pastor Joe, I felt blessed because he doesn't want the money. I never judge anyone. I remember this beautiful family I knew from this church. They were young and had so much ahead of them. They didn't listen during the lock down. They wanted to attend their church. Well all 5 of them caught Covid. They all died. Personally speaking I stayed home and spoke to my Grandfather. He felt that staying home was the best thing to do. He felt it was so sad to see all of these orphaned children. It's like this, if you're watching the news and you hear there is a mass shooting happening at your local mall, are we supposed to go shopping at that mall that day? Common sense saves lives. I feel God gave us intelligence for a reason. Would someone let their 5 year old daughter walk alone to the store at night. NO. I feel the differences are a personal choice and I totally respect your choice. Now my daughter is an adult living on her own, making her own choices. But I was taught at a very young age by my Dad. You can go either direction in life because God gave us free will. The trick is to choose the path wisely to minimize the suffering.

My grandpa has been a faithful servant and pastor of the Lord in Brazil for over 50 years. The Pandemic really pulled apart the small Bible centered church he shepherded. Pray for my grandpa and his ministry. Him and my grandma (she obviously is not a pastor, but went to seminary and is a servant of the Most High) have served God since their youth into their 70s and are now getting old but I pray that the Lord continue to use them into their old age. May the Lord who is above all bless all small faithful churches, all over the world that they may continue being a beacon for the lost and a hospital for the spiritually and physicially sick!

My name is Tammie and I live in Lebanon, Tennessee USA. I accidentally ran across your channel one evening while surfing for something decent to watch. You see, I lost my husband this past December and it has devastated me. He was an ordained Minister and had been in Gospel Music for more than 50 years. We were very happy and we both have tried to faithfully serve the Lord for most of our adult lives. We had only been married three years because we had both previously lost spouses and the the Lord brought us together. I had three wonderful years with this wonderful Christian man, and I thank Jesus everyday for giving him to me for those three years. My point of this message is to tell you that I agree with your opinion about being in a local church. I say this because through this whole ordeal of losing my sweet husband, my Church family has been wonderful to me. Besides giving me a gift of several hundred dollars to help me with the cost of his service, they sent cards, they took me to dinner, they called and listened to me cry, and most importantly, they prayed with and for me. They were truly the church. They are my family. I have 3 children and 8 grandchildren and many loving friends. I am very blessed. The days and nights are long and lonely but Jesus is here walking and talking with me and speaking peace to my heart. You cannot feel the hug of a brother or sister in Christ online. You can’t feel the squeeze of a hand from someone who truly loves you by sharing the love of Jesus online. So you are totally right Brother Joe! The local church is such a wonderful place to be. I have been struggling a little to meet my bills and have no funds to fall back on. I have thought about my state and blamed it on something I have not done for God. God has fed me, kept me warm, and provided all my needs. I really have not done without but hearing you had reinforced my relationship with God. I have always prayed and tried to serve Him. God has always been good to me. I do not live lavishly I look around and the devil shows me people who live lavishly but never serve God. I then remember that this is temporary. The deeds we do for God will be rewarded forever.

It took me a while to realise that there is no way I can learn all I want about the Lord and the Bible by just depending on Sunday services and small group meetings/Bible studies. I listen to Christian speakers on UA-cam to supplement my own Bible reading and what I can learn from my church and all the long time Christians who are willing to share their understanding, knowledge and testimonies of God’s faithfulness in their lives. I have learned though to be very careful who I listen to, and to go to the Bible to check what I have heard, and learn more about the subject. So thank you to all Bible-teaching UA-camrs for your contribution to my walk with God.

@@1rocktostandon I also second Derek Prince. I saw him once and binge watched for weeks. There are now channels devoted to his teaching, which make it much easier these days. I would add Encounter TV. He's a slight built Hispanic pastor, excellent and anointed teacher and I love his ecumenical spirit. He doesn't put down other denominations, and doesn't leave out the Orthodox and Catholics either. I'd add a few priests, Father Altman and an exorcist, Father Vincent Lambert (as Derek Prince and the Encounter TV pastor are also called to do). I've found once I wade through what I call, catholiceeze (type of language), that the priests teach very similar to what the protestant deliverance ministers do.
I wasn't raised Catholic, so verbiage and dogma has been a learning curve, but it is the history and foundation of our faith, that God has shown me, we'd do well to not throw out all collected wisdom that is there. There's a nice movement where some Christian YTers go to all different denomination of churches, often w/ an appointment to be shown around and have the different accoutrements explained to them. It's esp. interesting when they are Catholic and Orthodox churches, to have the different trappings and ritutals explained. What I found was key, was that all the ritutals done are scripturally based and there's a purpose for every one. Esp. given that these historic churches were leading a flock that was illiterate back in the day.
Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a home church since I moved a couple of years ago. Between spinal issues that do not allow me to sit for very long and now the pandemic since I am immunocompromised. It is people like you that help me keep the faith. Thank you.

I was tempted to stay home this morning and watch an online sermon but because God gave you the ability to create this video, I got myself moving and went to my home church.
I live in Tennessee, work from home remotely and sometimes have a hard time getting myself to leave the house. It’s become my little paradise and I struggle at times with even leaving for church services.

I know what this feels like. I'm disabled, i have mobility issues, suffer from anxiety and desperately want to find a group of Christians to meet and worship Jesus with. My biggest issue in my area at the moment is churches seem more concerned about covid then they seem concerned about the matters of God and spreading the gospel which deeply saddens me. I play guitar and want to use this gift God gave me in worship and praise to Him with other believers. I try to spread the gospel whenever The Lord gives me the chance to do so to friends, neighbors and anyone else who will listen. Please pray for me that Jesus heals my anxiety and makes me bold and courageous like Paul for Him. I want to be of use to bring glory to The Father and be used by Jesus to spread His message.

Kirby, your teachings are a blessing. I'm a toddler in Christ (Sept. 2019), just before the huge shut-in. Imagine my confusion as churches shut doors, fears against brother and sister, etc. because of the unknown c19.
I had no fear except for sharing the gospel. I searched for another means of being in church because my own closed its doors. I was heartbroken and wandered the empty streets until I found this small Church run by a little old lady. Now 70, she's a pistol laying hands ón the sick and healing physically and spiritually.
I think back on those days and still see the fear of c19 evolving into something worse in the hearts of churchgoers. Many in my huge church still just participate online. It's sad!
I have struggled with sloth which causes lukewarmness as I blame it on not hearing what I think should be taught. The Lord has asked me to mature. There's more exposure at the larger church. I had a vision of casting out demons there. But I think my training will be at the small one with the old lady.
Stay in your word. If I could could give ANY advice to a baby Christian who hasnt spent years under indoctrination > please seek to understand OT Torah and how it applies to you. BUT DO NOT STOP THERE!! Continue to move into the New covenant and just watch hiw the Lord will transform your life!

Aka a hypocrite) In fact they saw a lot of Christians there and friends and family. What you must understand is claiming to be a Christians and doing good thing DO NOT guarantee your entree into God's kingdom. Because we're all guilty already. The sin of Adam and Eve is engraved in our DNA.
So believing in God doesn't mean much because even the devil and his minions believe in God and can talk about his glory too. But what God is looking for is people who seek a relationship with him. Like that of a father and his child.(because he's not your father in heaven but he's also your father's father, your grandfather's father and for all your ancestors) People who hate what this world has become and want to live in new world without sin. God do not invite people he don't know into his house just like us because we're made into his image.
Those who want nothing to do with him in their 100 year of lifetime on earth cannot expect to spend the eternity with him in his kingdom.
We praise God because he's the most worthy. He's never given up on us even when we failed countless times. He was there. We changed. He hasn't changed. He's still the same who used to walk and visit Adam and Eve.

Thank you for your videos. My boyfriend has come back to our Lord. My boyfriends family has a church they attend. We have not physically gone to a church together, my boyfriend has social anxiety, and has had bad experiences in the past with churches. I adore your analogy of a bad meal, it does not mean we will never eat again. I have been patient with my boyfriend accepting our Lord, and I feel so much light and happiness that he has accepted Jesus again. I'm patient my boyfriend will be ready to attend our families church.
Joe, you are speaking my truth. My family doesn’t want to hear it. They ask me to stop . Now I’m putting my bible back in the living room, and watching Christian programs and praying the Lord gives me wisdom to show them , tell them. Today my daughter said New Testament does not hold up Ten Commandments. I found scripture to show her the truth. She took one theology course and thinks I’m wrong. I only want her heart to know the truth.

Since this is very much a message to fellow Christian UA-camrs I just want to agree with you, we should not let views and popularity dictate if we put out videos or what the topic should be about.
This is something I have to stop and pray about continually, that I don’t get blinded making videos on a habit, it’s not a business. Putting out videos on a habit without the guidance of the Spirit of God just makes you feel even more empty. As in every situation in life, don’t move in your own strength but let the Holy Spirit move you into action.

btw: I met Jim Elliot's wife in Orlando when i lived there. wonderful woman. the natives were scared out of their minds at the sight of a plane and killed him thinking this was a monster they needed to protect their families from. Mrs. Elliot went on to minister to the tribe, raising her children among them. wonderful story of forgiveness and putting Christ and His gospel first.

I'm one of the many who only have online church. I can no longer sit for extended periods due to disability. I cannot be exposed to crowds due to a weak immune system. I moved here two years ago. Tried church on Sundays but it was too difficult for me. Without the church I follow online I would have nothing. Lost my entire family by age 32. My experience has been a lonely one but I feel more alone in a church. Amazing how someone sick and disabled can be so invisible.

Three years ago I came back to Christ in a big way and took my family with me. We tried to find a church but it was painful. No one teaches the full Scriptures so we home church with just our family. We used to listen to an online pastor but the more we study, the more we see that the messages are not right. Now we just praise God and read the Scriptures....we started in Genesis and will read to Revelation. We would LOVE to have a church!! Be thankful if you do!
My Grandpa always would say to preachers (and others) "Just Preach Jesus" and he was soooo right.The devil would love for you to get off track preach about what is happening with our culture or the left or the right... just preach Jesus!!

I have three children. They are grown now, but I had always thought that I could NEVER survive the death of one of them! I love them beyond words! But, on May 25, 2021, my oldest son died of a massive heart attack. He was 43. Without my Saviour, I do not believe that I would have survived it. Jesus has taken every step that I have made, for me! Without him, I honestly believe that I would be totally out of my mind! But, my son's death truely put everything in perspective! Money is only a piece of paper and gold and silver are only rocks! I know, and honestly did before the tragedy of my child's death, this truth. But, being humans, we all seem to forget this. I know what is important in this world. And, it is Jesus Christ! If I could find a church that preached END TIMES and REPENTANCE, I'd go there in a heartbeat. Most churches are dead and many are all about smoke machines and showy music. I ache for the old hymns and non-hypocritical fellowship. Witches have infiltrated the church too.
I agree with you 100%. We attended 3 churches in a row where the pastor turned out to be a "progressive" Christian. So sad. We stopped attending church and study our Bible daily with a fundamental radio ministry.

I’ve just joined a physical church after attending an online one for 3 years. Freedom Church the services are on here if you want to watch. I’ve never felt so challenged in the right way. The Holy Spirit convicting me not condemning. It teaches relationship over religion with God. In my 9 months I have learnt so much and I’ve been a Christian for 21 years and attended a church for years. God is moving at this church, thank goodness God sent me there! Freedom Church is in 22 countries and it has churches here in the U.K.check them out. 🙏😊
I remember during the 90s when a place called Rock House, a church in my area opened for the youth, and I was a teen at that time trying to seek the Lord in my own way, longing to do his will (later I fell away and he called me back years after) but this Church was very much like that. They had the disco ball, loud music, and Preacher who would lip sync on stage and create dramatizations of what he believed was the right thing to do. Since this was a youth group, I can understand that. He would lip sync to Carmen, who at the time was very radically saved. But during the beginning of church they had the disco ball on and all that and In my Spirit I felt the Holy Spirit didn't approve of that way of thinking. It appears he still doesn't. You can't make it all flash and glam and hope the Lord wishes to rest on people and btw, he did and many came down to the alter in those days but that was the 90s, later that church went way because the Pastor and his wife gave up the ministry, also people in the back would fight after service in the parking lot.
It is important to assemble with our brothers and sisters in Christ, in flesh.
That is not always possible, where I live all churches are catholic or lead by women , homosexuals or have mixed witchcraft ,and mysticism into them, here in the U.S. it is very ,very bad . Trying to find true believers in Jesus Christ is nearly impossible.
@@matthewmullikin1940 So many churches in the USA have been infiltrated by the enemy and become social justice platforms instead of the true church of Christ Jesus. It is also very difficult where I live: I almost walked out of the Easter service of our church when the message was anecdotal stories of parents accidentally melting Easter candy when it was shut up in cars, and stats on how man people bite the ears off a chocolate bunny first. I was gobsmacked. The most important victory message on which the glorious gospel of Christ stands, His very resurrection, and our message was about candy.

Us Christians are getting scarce, but like one of the saints said. “ the more I go around men, the more I come home less of a man.” Our early church fathers suffered alone. It is more necessary now.

Every day I thank God for the clothes on my back, the food in my belly, the roof over my head, and the job that I have. I also thank Him for loving me and sending His Son Jesus Christ for saving me. I also thank Him for the miseries I deal with every day. I rather not deal with them but then I wouldnt see all the wonderful things He has for me.
I'm just now seeing this video message and I have to say I agree 100% with everything that was said. Especially the last of the video when Joe is talking about how other groups are in the streets drawing attention to themselves but we as Christians seem to be so quiet. Our religious symbols are attacked on a regular basis. The Ten Commandments are taken out of government buildings, crosses are removed from public places, prayer has been taken out of our schools! And yet we talk to each other but we don't make our voices heard! I don't know what the answer is. What I do know is that I don't want to be quiet any longer!
I think is a reason why that song I speak Jesus resonates so powerfully with me as it's all about proclaiming his name and that he's there in all things all the time you need to be looking to him letting him guide you how to properly use your biblical armor. She has broken me many times and I would love to hear you preach a message about my wife cheating on me many times. I can't leave it alone and she expects me to forgive and forget. I know I'm not perfect but I have kept my word and loved her always, but I feel it may happen again and it may not. My father, when he was alive, sent regular funds to a “prosperity gospel” ministry. When he passed , this ministry contacted me and demanded that I take up that regular donation. I was seriously annoyed and never believed in their message. Great message Joe

The name of the ministry does not matter as my experience would be pretty much the same across any of them I would think. We cannot “buy” our way into heaven. It is only through faith in Jesus that we are saved.

People got used to going to church “virtually” at home. As a result, many have not gone back. Absolutely heartbreaking. 💔 My church has stated that never will it close its doors again. Keep up the great content.
My church never closed. When we couldn't meet inside, we met in the parking lot in our cars. Every Monday, the pastor was harassed by the "authorities" for not closing the church. He told them the only answer to the plannedemic and everything else this evil world is enduring is Jesus and he was not about to close. To this day, almost two years after the start of the plannedemic, without fail, the church has been open for Monday night prayer, Wednesday night Bible study, and Sunday morning church.

All 501c3 churches in the US are subject to the government. If they don't do as the government says, they lose their 501c3 status or worse. Your leaders need to look into getting out of the 501c3.
I’m disabled, and I’m surrounded by word of faith ministries, there’s no strong churches. I pray for a new church plant that will rise up. I watch John MacArthur each week. I still meet and pray with my friend and we support each other in prayer. You are right Joe , I do need to find a church in Nottingham. The prosperity gospel nearly made me lose faith.
One problem with prosperity gospel is it prostitutes faith. They want to sell you faith. You can't sell faith. We take our first step into faith when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. The rest of our steps should be made by holding His hand, not paying someone to pray for you. We do need to support each other in prayer, but that is what our church family does for us. That is why we need to be a part of a church. I grew up with two wonderful examples of faith filled believers. My grandmother and the head of the Bible camp I attended in the summer. My grandmother prayed during WWII for four sons in the war. God would touch her and tell her to pray about one or the other in particular. One day she dropped everything, went to her room, got on her knees beside her bed and prayed for one in particular, and when she went to pick up her Bible she dropped it on the bed. It fell open to a page and a passage, "thy son is well" caught her eye. A few days later she got a telegram saying one if her son's ship had been bombed, he was thrown across the deck and landed against a wall on the ship, but he was well. This happened when God told her to pray. As for the Bible camp, it is over 80 years old and still going. The man I told you about felt he was being lead by the Lord to start it. He told God that he would do everything he could to build it, but God needed to meet all the needs of the camp. As I said it is over 80 years old and still influencing children today. Faith cannot be bought and sold. It is a gift from God.
Joe, you may not be a pastor, but you are probably the nearest thing to a pastor then some folk will know. Even some that go to church.

The church is not a building but a group of believers getting together in the name of Christ- Ekklesia.
Well it is a building, just not a physical one. Christ mentions that He is the cornerstone of the house of God and we are the living stones on top of it.

Even though I see this is from 2 years ago, it randomly came up on my UA-cam feed right on time to minister to me. I will say that I had fallen into the trap of preferring watching my church services online rather than being there in person. It began with sharing online services with one of our elderly shut-ins who otherwise would not have had any other means of participating in any way in the services. Later, after the job ended and the lady passed away, I still tended to prefer to not have to get dressed up for church, watching online instead. As a single person, I've often sensed the spirit of Hagar -- those who are married with children looking down on and despising me for being alone. I'm back in "real" church again and I can attest that it is infinitely better than flat church on my cell phone. It served me well during this long winter of sickness & car trouble but I'm so grateful for the opportunity to once again attend with my brothers & sisters in Christ.
