This is a work of art and it does reflect your many years of training and skill. I keep smiling as you reuse the word “simple”. Anyone who does Ikebana knows that is far from simple!
I think I was very lucky - found this and two ceramic pebble vases all at once which makes me think someone loved Ikebana who had owned them. But, now they are getting used! 😀
My mind gets expanded every time I watch you! I wouldn't have thought such a wide arrangement could be made using the narrow opening of that beautiful vase. Stunning :)
Again simple and elegant with an element of Ikebana. I happen to agree with the first comment, the fern needs to be ditched because the pine alone was pretty enough. I loved how you said the gypsophila was like ‘a touch of snow’ as it described it perfectly and it’s the type of thing I would have said too. I really love your work and enjoy being inspired by your content.
Hello, oglądam każdy odcinek, uwielbiam Pana pomysły, bardzo mnie inspirują. Nie mogę doczekać się kolejnych, pozdrawiam gorąco z małej wsi koło Gdańska 🥰
Lovely John, and you are so right to cut out all material that does not enhance the arrangement. But, it needs courage and confidence. Can we see your baby soon?
Thank you so much John, I really really enjoyed watching you creating this beautiful gorgeous arrangement. I really really love ❤️ the simplicity of it, and the vase is stunning too. I never find such thing’s in charity shop’s. And the Hellebore’s are so beautiful. Please stay safe and well too xxx Mags
Hello John! Once again your choice of container is wonderful! I am envious of that one. And, if I'm honest, I liked the way just the pine branches looked in there with that bit of fern. Of course, I adore hellebores, and am so glad they've come into the cut flower market. Actually the hellebores here in Maryland are blooming right now and they are a joy to see. Thank you for your inspiring ideas and your passion. I count myself among your biggest fans. 😊
Thank you 😊 you are definitely one of our biggest fans - I look forward to your feedback and comments every week - thank you 🌼 That container I found in a thrift store - it was a great find 😀
Watching you struggle with the branches made me feel better. I always struggle with horizontal branch placement. Sometimes I get scared that they won't get water and re-do the design in foam. I have ordered some heavy green wire, and may try that to bend branches like training Bonsai.
Yep - materials need a bit of manipulation and trying different options! That’s interesting and a good idea using wire to help shape heavier material. 🌼🌳
Thanks John! As usual, the "foliage" , in this case pine, was beautiful already! And the addition of gyp and hellabore is sooooo pretty! I went back to watch the recommended potted plant video and realized that I'm such a fan, I even remember it! Simplicity is certainly the key. Thanks for the loving winter and looking forward to spring feeling that you gave us!
Beautiful John. I love the hellebores with the pine and the gypsophila. I have some beautiful purple hellebores in my garden. I have used them in arrangements before but I find they wilt very quickly even though I arrange them in water. Have you any tips about conditioning them? Thank you xx
They are beautiful - but you are right, they can just wilt overnight. Best advise is a thorough condition before use, clean water and keeping the level topped up. If they do go over they can be revived with a recut and submerge in a sink of water. But I’m also up for hearing any tips if anyone else has any 😀🌼
Yes, they can wilt which is a problem. I think this is why people use the heads as floating flowers rather than stems. I find they either last well, or wilt quickly - no inbetween.
You remind me of a Chinese florist who puts some lovely pieces in a vase, then attacks them with his secatuers and you watch i horror as flowers get choppeed choppe

Thank you so much - I suppose I mean simple as it has limited materials, but practice makes perfect as they say, and the joy is in the creating! 😀🌼
Again it's beautiful...simple and elegant love it with the pine ❤
Thank you 😊 🌼

көп рахмет 😊 және алыстағы сәлем - тамашалағандарыңызға рахмет 🌼🌼🌼
Absolutely beautiful. Love the green plant material designs with the stunning single flower colour which enhances the whole affect. Fantastic!
Thank you so much 😊
Very envious of your container, I,never seem to find such, items when I go charity shopping!
I think I was very lucky - found this and two ceramic pebble vases all at once which makes me think someone loved Ikebana who had owned them.

Its so lovely. It has a Oriental feel 🌿
Thank you 😊
Beautiful arrangement John, like a japanese free style arrangement, I love it❤
Thank you - love Ikebana and freestyle 😀
My mind gets expanded every time I watch you! I wouldn't have thought such a wide arrangement could be made using the narrow opening of that beautiful vase. Stunning :)
Thank you 😊 actually the narrow neck makes supporting the materials much easier - wide neck vases are more problematic
😍😍😍😍😍
Beautiful job !
It is very elegant, as I always say, with so few elements you get wonderful results!

Love the container & design!
Thank you - it is a great vase 🌼😀

Thank you 😊
Nice job - always like pine in an arrangement and this looks great - thanks
Thank you 😀
Im actually really happy as i didn’t realise I had pine in the garden, but I do. It’s a part of the hedge right at the back. 😀
Дуже Гарно!!!!!!!!
Дякую! 😀🌼

Lovely John, and you are so right to cut out all material that does not enhance the arrangement. But, it needs courage and confidence. Can we see your baby soon?
Thank you 😊
It’s not my baby - it’s Janos and Rekas baby - but yes , she will make appearances and updates 😀 she’s doing really well.

@@FlowerJoos Just watched this video again and noticed you anchor the Hellebore into place using the gypsohilia. That is a learned skill I have too!

Thank you Lynne! 😀 and thank you for watching the other design as well. I’m definitely in the mood for spring - blossom, tulips, colour - bring it on!
Inspiring
Beautiful John once again, wish I had your eye and talent x

I picked some of my Hellebores, but sadly they drooped very quickly so I wouldn't try that.

😂 I’m too tall to be a Chinese florist - more like the Swedish chef off the muppets maybe 🤔
@@FlowerJoos you both produce beautiful work 😍
@@isopath1 ahhh - I know who you mean. Those videos are great, but as you say, chop chop chop!
