From this luxury restaurant, you can look over the entire city of Islamabad. We highly recommend that you watch the sunset and see the city lights turn on from above it all! On top of having fantastic views over the city, The Monal has an expansive menu! You will have hundreds of items to choose from! We enjoyed the cheese bread, bar-b-que, pulao, and dessert. ABOUT US
We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. We hope that our travels will inspire and provide our children with the confidence to meet new people, try new foods, and enjoy learning a new language. We hope our vlogs will inspire you to get out and travel, too!

The family looked absolutely fantastic especially the ladies. It looks as though a local dressed Kelly as she looked all natural. I think it was a end of a satisfactory trip dinner where the dad went "what the heck, we had fun. lets go for it" and ordered all that food. Well, I hope you guys loved Pakistan and will come back soon. Many more places to visit especially in Lahore and Karachi. If you're still in Islamabad, do try Tuscany Courtyard in Kausar market. I believe it's in F6 section of the city. The food there is excellent and the rooftop seating is really pleasant.

Your Whole Family Looked Amazing in Local Pakistani Dresses especially Henna Mehendi on hands of Kelly Mam and Sweet Cute Cedar but the star attraction was Jonathan Sir. He looked like the Perfect Desi Gentleman.
I enjoyed how the kids did full justice with the ice cream dessert. They may not be having strength to finish their fries, burger or hot dog but upon seeing ice cream in front of them, they went for it while standing. Didn't bother to sit down or even take portion to eat in their bowls. Just grabbed their spoons and went all the way.
Whenever I will feel sad or low, I will definately be watching this vlog to cheer up.

Ceder is so smart that she summed up Monal restaurant in one word. Food is good there but you can get better food down in the city but people go up there for the view. And you all look incredible in the traditional clothing

Perfect time to dine at the Monal! The food is no doubt fantastic, but it is the view of Islamabad and the Rawal Lake at a distance that takes the cake! My friend had taken me to the place for lunch on Dec 25th, 2018.
Actually, if you go there in late December and early Jan, a little further in the Margallahs is Peer Sohawa, which receives snowfall at the time. Gets just too fantastic!
