- American actress Susan Sarandon joins Palestine solidarity activists rallying outside Columbia University gates, sharing a message of solidarity with the protesters.
Since Wednesday, hundreds of Columbia students have staged an encampment inside the main campus of the university in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
The encampment is the latest student-led action at Columbia geared to force administrators to divest from companies and institutions they deem to be profiteering from Israel's "apartheid, genocide and occupation" in Palestine.
