Ha, my old hood! Amo lola diha gilubong! We visit every year before the Covid, kada uli, sa mentiryo. Naa pa mi relatives ug friends diha. Maglakaw ra mi gikan sa Ayala, taking shortcuts through the alleys. Never got scared. Had to comment kay fond memories from my childhood before it got crowded. Naa pa to mga tangkong tanum duol ila Peryong (tindahan duol sa mentiryo ug merkado). Salamat sa video, maam.

Very interesting walk Mrs. B! 👍👍. I always find your walk about interesting because you go to places that foreign vloggers normally don’t go.

From 1966-1976 our family used to live at nr. 77-B Cabantan St., Mabolo. In 1976 family moved to Villaba, Leyte where my parents originated, and father retired from Gothong-Sulpicio Shipping Lines as seaman. This place where I spent my childhood. Back then I used to passed this street from home to University of Southern Philippines Lahug unit campus passing in this street. The street corner to the right of the entrance is the former Elyang Sari-Sari Store. The buildings across the street are back then vacant farm field where cows are being tended a short cut to the USP. We used also to pass the Lahug airport. Now seen in this blog the street became narrower. When I was a kid we used to play during weekend at the cemetery around 200 meters from the house. I could still remember some landmarks even today like the corner street to Brgy San Roque to the right side.

Thanks for showing a" slice of life" in the many barangays in the city. I'd like to see more barangays too please. You folks know so much about the city.. I know some places, but not at all like you. Again I like your friends commentary with you.:)

Privately owned cars parking on the side of the road are obstructions. Even the “gym” is used as parking lot. I don’t know why that is allowed. Do people living there own the land or still considered squatters?

No more sidewalks, the head of local baranggay's allowed them to ,nagbalay balay sila sa. side walks ,puno na squatters ,then most of them no jobs,no proper public toilets, sanitations, crimes etc'sad to look at,Cebu local government need to do something, clean it up and more🙏🙏🙏

its far from great . but its living and thats better then the other choice. when i was a kid i worked on ships . one time on one that was taking grain to east Africa .when we docked to unload there where people on the dock behind a fence. they where starving. mostly women with kids and babies. silent just waiting. about 100 yards away was a pile of bodies. they had died on that dock. so by comparison what you have there are poor people .but it could be so much worse. i have been poor its mostly just waiting and waiting. if you have food and water people do get by.

Nisulod unta mo.aron makita unsa jud situation ngano dali kaayo naka katag ang virus. Luckily we survived. physically, Emotionally and mentally stress tungod sa bash ug discrimination sa mga taw..

Are majority of the people living there squatters? I can’t believe all those electrical wires. That is so dangerous.

For safety best not to roam around on your own as a foreigner in these kind of areas.
