I remembered hearing about some of these situations back when they were still new.
It's honestly surprising to see how some of these individuals were able to bounce back from an incident like this.
While it's not as career canceling as being outed as a groomer, being involved in a scam is just as damaging towards one reputation.
I remember looking at the EMAX spons posts (particularly KK's) and thinking that it had to come back to haunt them. Most obvious scam ever. They've just kind of.... got away with it?
That's what happens when the internet is full of young kids who don't care what their favorite influencer does as long as it doesn't affect them. Which is crazy, I'm not big into fan boying regardless but I just coulda fw a celebrity after doing something scummy
What I don't understand is how these "influencers" are just out and about in public? If I scammed millions out of their money, I'd be more worried about getting JUMPED or worse.... and you will see the NASTIEST side of someone when you mess with their money. Scamming your audience is one of the worst things you can do. They show genuine appreciation and support to you and what you make, helping you grow a name for yourself, and in return you take advantage of their trust and support for material gain.

This is the level that these people are functioning on. Every single person who fell for one of these scams has no one to blame but themselves.
What gets me is how people that ignorant and delusional manage to have a career or a way to make and have saved that much money.
Tana fans seem to pretend this shit never happened. Same with all the countless bad things she has done. It's crazy to me how often she is mentioned in other people's videos for so many of the shitty actions she has done yet Cancelled Podcast is doing super well right now. It's as if the more controversial you can be, the more success you will have in the podcast world. For example, kardashian is famous and a wealthy figure because she slept with someone and that noise was enough to make her famous.

Edit: As an aside I wish streamers and UA-camrs would vet sponsors more carefully. There are ones that are harmless enough like Aura and VPNs where I'd never use them but at least they have utility. Then there's the grey area of shitty mobile games with predatory business models. Then there are things like that site that claimed to sell Scottish Lordship titles that are straight up scams. then there were a few creators that promoted fucking Temu, anyone with half a brain cell knows that's just Wish which was already total dog shit.

15:30 By the way, that 510 million fanbase is just FaZe torturing numbers. The implication is that they have 510mil actual people following them. Which is obviously ludicrous if you think about it for a second because that would mean they have almost as many fans as the entire North American continent has human population. The reality is that they simply add all the subs and follows across all their platforms together, which includes individual influencers. The problem is obvious: Tons of people follow multiple of these accounts/platforms. So they got counted multiple times.
For example, if you are subbed to three UA-cam channels of content creators associated with FaZe, also follow these on Twitter and Twitch, plus are a follower on the FaZe Instagram and Twitter account you are now 1 single person that counts as 11 for the purpose of FaZe massaging their numbers.
