Despite his quiet confidence, Joe Frazier refused today to guarantee his presence at what has been advertised as a public “victory party” at the Statler Hilton Hotel in New York following his heavyweight title bout with Muhammad Ali on Monday night.
“It depends how I feel, how I look,” the champion said. “I'll see after the fight.”

No one knew no reporter wrote about it. Years later Dick Young and Bill Gallo said Yank confirmed it. Frazier was on a different level taking pain. Apparently his BP skyrocketed to 250 over 125 but he recovered and fought for 7 more years.
People always say Joe took a terrible Beating, But Take a look at Ali the next day, He was in Serious Pain All Over, Those Body Shots Joe gave him showed and Even Ali admitted His Hips were in So much Pain iit Was hard for him to Walk.And Ali's Blown up Jaw from Smokin Joe's Famous Left 🪝 was very evident.
