Wow, this almost made me break into tears. The nostalgia hit me in the teeth as a truck loaded with refugees. Lot's of great songs in here, many I've never heard before. The first song played is "SkyMarshall Arts - Turrican (Original Cut)" for those asking below. I should know, since I made it. Anyway, great compilation this.
In 1983 videgames materialized themselves in my house in the form of the ATARI 2600. I was six years old. 2 years later Commodore 64 arrived and stole my hearth, occupyng most of my lifetime. My 1990 was the year of Commodore Amiga 500 Plus, and one year later, the first handheld console: ATARI LYNX I grew with these games! I love them! It was my best time ever! So I have to say THANK YOU to those who made this video.
At around the 2:30 mark, sounds like a variant of Ryuichi Sakamoto's "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence". :) Thanx for the compilation, ahhh memories! *tears flow*
this is THE console i grew up with and u must say it brings joy to my heart waaay before online gaming when you invited you friends to your home and had sutch a blast loading all these games with high entisipation.. your truly the mater of exploding fist :D
perfect.. thank you... this is a little journey to the past. wow... i missed that days.. commodore 64, giana sister, int. karate, commandos, kane and other games.. thanks dude
The first 45 seconds makes me feel the great energy of C64. Yeaah. The rest of the video is also cool, doesn't matter that original music isn't there. also this remake is cool. Good job, adding to favorites.....
So agree with the theme of the vid. Started with C64, Amiga and PC after that. Cannot believe its been over 20 years. This Was my childhood. I feel old :/
I might only be from the end 80's, but this machine brought me great joy FAR FAR into the 90's, even after getting a PC, this was still my favorite gaming machine :)
So many Classics and good memories, although when i look back i spent more time liserning to the loading and title music than playing the games, accept WizBall:) Thanks for uploading tr0d
You shouldnt apoligize for the bad play that never bothered me while watching this video. Must ve watched it over 50 times now you enriched youtube with an awesome display what c64 was all about back then in the good old days, and you brought a smile to my face on so many ocasion with this video.. thank you.
Games do still have soul.... Indie games that is Sadly, most big name titles these days fell more like interractive movies to me than they do games. I miss the days of the C64, the ZX Spectrum, The Amstrad CPC, the Master System, Vectrex, etc. Just about anything past the 32 bit era has been meh to me
The message in the beginning is so true! And it doesn't concern only computer games, but also everything else in the society. We have got a lot but lost even more. What we have lost is something that one can't get with money.
Got mine when they first appeared, beyond the MSX, the Atari, the TI994a, yeah, the last one was a joke, but I was proud having the C64, the first machine with that much memeory. Made the others look dated. I still remember on Christmas day typing in my first program from the book.... Print, goto 10... You don't get that these days, that sense of Achievement! x The year was 1983. x
The makers of Giana Sisters were forced to redraw the game after a dispute with Nintendo, but the game survived on Turbo Tape. On the disk there was an intro witch very few have seen due to this...
Some really great music choices (Commando, Gianna Sisters, IK+). Last Ninja, Ghosts and Goblins or Delta tracks would have been a good addition as well.
Still someone alive to remember the commodore? Nah just kiiding XD It just seems so OLD! Amazing how games have evolved on 20 years, from Commodore to Bioshock.
77손잡고 다시 잡고 감사드립니다 멋진 영상 감사드립니다.~~~~^^^^^Thanks again with hands and hands to the nice videos and thanks a lot !!!!!

:D dont you understand ? it was all about capatalism. Nice video i almost cried when i first beat the game Commando , i always loved C64 , love and will love.
Woa..a number of these games I never played, even though I know all the songs from Slay Radio. I never knew Rush N Attack from the NES was Green Beret, and I played Who Dares Wins on the C=64, which has an uncanny resemblance to Commando.
Rob Hubbard was my favorite. Chimera. Last V8. Masters of Magic. Paul Norman (Forbidden Forest) and the guy who did Space Hunter by Mastertronic. And I agree- these games were executed extremely well using the limited technology of the time. Games were about gameplay (like most arcade games), and though I know they made a ton of money I believe they were more passionate about the games than the money.
Commando had music that did Rock! There were so many other games that had awesome music..*Crazy Comets,Break Street - come to mind for me* too many to list. Its just that Commando seems to come to mind when you think music :)

a big thumb up for the intro message!
