@slovakmath They don't have to change anything in the class they could simply add images in to the videos afterwards. Hell actually anyone could. I don't like you attitude though just to let you know.
Does anyone know if these slides are available? They are obviously an important part of the learning process, otherwise the lecturer wouldn't bother with them.
@explos1ve13 you really expect MIT to change in class demonstrations to make it easier for people on youtube to watch? No! the mere fact that we're given the privilege to even LISTEN to these lectures is enough to make me happy. dont be greedy & stop complaining. I'm irritated when people like you who constantly complain to MIT, hearing you complain about this reminds me when I sometimes give homeless bum pocket change (rather than thank me) he complains, he'd rather I give him a couple dollars
i have to say i am disappointed in the biology course from open courseware...the video quality is not the best and the use of the overhead projector is very annoying compared to another course like solid state chem or multivariable calc.
the introductory lecture was promising, but it was perhaps reaching. after indicating that he intended the course to be presented in a rigorous, scientific manner, he proceeds to falling into the kind of descriptive presentation that has long been criticized. this lecture is a lengthy description of dna, lacking in any kind of formalism. his consistent personification of the electrostatic or coulumb force is also painful. it would seem that biology still has a ways to go before it's a science, after all. yet, physics should not be smug, as it has collapsed into utter fantasy. biology is the way forward, it's just not there yet.
What happened to lecture 3?
Lecture 3 is only available as audio: ocw.mit.edu/courses/biology/7-012-introduction-to-biology-fall-2004/video-lectures/lecture-3-biochemistry-2/

The cameraman can't show the slides and pictures due to copyright violations.
