Congrats on the 2nd Channel! Thanks for showing this thing on proper dirt... we know that on grass or concrete is going to make it roll over but on dirt... its a power slide machine! Looking into the steering now!
This truck is stunning! The Isenhouer gang is my favorite racing family and that makes having this truck even more fun. The scale suspension, good tires, etc. make for great realism in looks and performance. It's just a blast to drive! I enjoy running the truck on 2S. 3S is great for when there's lots of open space to take advantage of the added speed (50+ MPH). Performance is great and being able to really enjoy it on 2S batteries means less money spent on packs. Mine doesn't have the bouncy/floppy front clip... maybe they corrected it in later production batches? I was ready to add a foam block or something similar but it wasn't necessary. So far, durability is excellent and I have yet to break any parts. I'll probably add some steering part upgrades eventually but it honestly handles fine even with the slop. I love the new trend toward licensed products with lots of scale detail.
I had the og Baja Rey, loved that truck. Got rid of it and immediately regretted it. Found a great deal on a 1/10 Rock Rey tho. This platform is very realistic and fun to drive 👍👍
Besides being an awesome running truck….. what was even better is that you were running it at my favorite hobby shop RC Madness I didn’t realize you were local keep up the great videos
I was actually wondering how it would do at RC Madness, I really need to go there more often, and been looking at a fast truck, rather than just my TRX
I love the 2.0. I love scale realistic trucks and cars in this hobby that are still a ton of fun to drive. I can’t decide though, F100 or Raptor? They both look so good. Plus it looks like the preorder is on sale, and I’ve got a $100 off with Tower Points also. Thanks Greg I watched both reviews on both channels 🇨🇦👋
Well i just finally bought the V2 King ver yesterday and now this. Should have known something was up. Well now I have the Heatwave ordered this morning.
I am defenitely considering to buy this one! I really want a desert truck and i think this one is even better then the previous one. Now i got to decide between this and the TRAXXAS UDR.
Buy a udr please. This isn’t nearly as good as a UdR, i love losi and traxxas but you should definitely buy the UDR. Its way more realistic, the suspension is just like on a real desert racer and its pretty durable.
@@dwightschrute2892 I definitely agree with you, but i got to take the price in consideration as well. Not only is the UDR more expensive, i need more batterys for it and a dual dualcharger would be nice aswell which i don't have right now.
I am surprised as well about that slop issue in the front was it that loose in the beginning? Goodness that is definitely something to look at in future. Other than that, she does look good out there for sure I like that "body roll" definitely has a sense of realism to it!!
Can you please try fitting the new 2.0 upgraded parts such as cage, shock tower, control arms, rear axle, etc for the raptor rey v2 that way those of us with the v2 can know what can and cant be swapped. Thank you 🙏
Yeah really...Cause I feel sick that I bought a v2 a few months ago...Since I wont have the money to buy another RC vehicle for a few years...I'll even go hungry a few weeks spending the money to upgrade lol...Damn even just the updated cage would save alot of time and hassle
Think this truck is gonna be a shelf king..really nice looking rc truck i ever saw. Mainly this would be for my wife since she doesn't go balls walls like i do 😂.
In my opinion this is a scam. Sure it looks realistic when its not running. But a desert truck is supposed have the best suspension in the world taking in bumps without it moving at all, it looks cheap even tho its pretty pricey and has terrible suspension, no hate on losi or anything they make great cars but this one is just bad.
I can say the v2 was horrible right out of the box...Unreal steering slop...Front arm broke first drive...a trip or two later front steering spindle broke when i brushed a curb...week or so later rear suspension arm broke going in reverse slow speed and hit a rock...Plus its time consuming to work on...My kids use the term "Rhino Roll" cause even in dirt with AVC on it rolls like mad...BUT after replacing the parts that broke with stronger materials, getting the Hot Racing steering system along with adding Hot Racing damping shocks in slot behind the King shocks, and some dialing in the suspension and steering it now handles very nice and is a tank...Was starting to love it lol but now I'm sick that if I waited a few months I could have started out with a better version
This is one of losi best😅 I do things with this truck I shouldn't and have been for over 2 years. Now I have 3 king shock baja rey one that I fully built as a shelf trophy losi❤

Love this beast in the dirt! Awesome job Losi Crew!
We just ordered it! Super stoked since we finally blew up our original Baja Rey last night lol 😅
And if you have a better solution for the steerring on the hammer rey, it would be great 😉
So it it possible to convert a v2 Baja Rey to a 2.0??? I really just want the updated cage and F-100 body
What a great time to be in the hobby!!

Truck looks great 👍👍👍
Just purchased one, absolutely stunning looking truck. Love all the scale details and accurate driving characteristics.

I agree. I had big offers for my Project truck. Couldn’t let it go. So much fun!

Truck looks great. What an awesome place to go rc-ing!
They did a nice job. Yup, it’s a great place to have some RC fun!
I was actually wondering how it would do at RC Madness, I really need to go there more often, and been looking at a fast truck, rather than just my TRX
Improvement over the UDR? Good info Greg. Cheers!!!
Tough call. Whoever buys either will be happy.
That rear ends slaps saggin soo hard!!! 😅😆🤣🤣 Yeee!!!! Hawww!!!😄🤠
The king shocks version drives best with the rear end shock springs switched to fronts and sag it.
I have to keep coming back to see what I’m waiting for. It reminds me of the John Player special livery I have on many of my slot cars
Grill is from the drag pickup eh? Looks great
I think i like this new release better then the Protomx.....love short course trucks....😎👍

Looks like you’re going to have to use a coin toss for that choice. Thanks for watching both!
I really like this updated version, especially the new body.
Agreed, this was a great overview update from the Losi Crew!
Well i just finally bought the V2 King ver yesterday and now this. Should have known something was up. Well now I have the Heatwave ordered this morning.
Oh man, It happens. Enjoy the Heatwave!
great review as always!
Traxxas starting to look like kids toys

🇺🇸JUST SUBSCRIBED ANOTHER GREAT CHANNEL on UA-cam love these versions of SCT 2.0 GOOOOOO LOSI🚚💨
Need a chevy one now! 😂

Steering slop was bad with the v2 also...Got the Hot Racing steering system it has zero slop
Ima get that car

Which battery are you using? I just bought one today.
Do you think its possible to get the 2.0 cage to fit the old chassis so we can run the new bodies
Can you swap bodies? Do they fit on each other's chassis?
Think this truck is gonna be a shelf king..really nice looking rc truck i ever saw. Mainly this would be for my wife since she doesn't go balls walls like i do 😂.
Bro what did you put that in
I really hope horizon hobby can swap my pre order to this truck. I got the wrong one
Fingers crossed for you bud!
@@rctrucks I sent them a message about it to switch trucks to this since I ordered the wrong one
Cuanto cuesta uno de esos ?
My truck isn't 4wd anymore, I have the 1st model, I think my diffs are gone, 1st use
Maybe check for a loose set screw on the center outdrive.
@@rctrucks will do, I held the rear tires and rolled the front and they rolled freely
I'll never understand why they put a 4s capable ESC with only a 3s capable motor.
Put your finger on the servo horn, and see if the slop is in the servo. That looked worse than tamiya Slop lol.
500 for the old ones 30 dollars more newer one wonder what they are gonna do with all the older models lol
There is a big sale right now the old one is actually 399 now
@@longboardguy cool that's a good deal 👌
Rear looks bottomed out all the time
Yeah but for 529.99 hard pass
