YEP!! wish i had thought about gold leafing before I printed and painted a bunch of these for family. I am going to try at least one in gold leafing. Thank you for sharing this.
I had no idea this existed! Thank you for making this! Looks fantastic!
AWESOME WORK!
Nice! I didn’t know that’s how gold leaf works.
I really liked this one.
Thanks. I’m liking the Voice Over format because I can work out what to say after the video has been edited (instead of while I’m working). Also I get to use my fancy podcast microphone!!
@@ImNotBoredImCreative I think it did make for a more planned experience. I've seen a lot of 3d printer videos and I very rarely see their prints come out as shiny as yours did. Even though there were hours of sanding, I think a video with some of the steps shown would be great. You know, not showing the entire process, but what it looks like after each grit and info on how long it took with each grit.
@@ImNotBoredImCreative What mic do you have?
Amazing work! Cheers :D
Like that in my decor...great job,
Tom, Brussels.
Thanks Tom, glad you like it!
You just confirmed my idea for a crown I want to do. Thank you so much for posting this!!
That was very cool, at the beginning I was expecting you to cast one lol It still turned out very nice.
Thanks! I hoping to cast something related very soon.
Loved the sand filling scene :)
Thanks! Glad you liked that.
How fragile is this? Can you handle the part without ruining the leaf? (If you didn't put urethane on top)
It doesn’t seem to be fragile at all. I have handled it without any trouble. I do assume that if I were to scrape it with something that it might scrape the leaf off, but it stands up to occasional handling without issue. I would suggest a gloss coat over it to protect it if it were to be used extensively.
@@ImNotBoredImCreative thanks for your response, that's surprising but also cool, will be trying this soon. There is another UA-camr who adds a "dark wash" at the end to give the gold an aged look, may give that a try as well
