Brad, I just received your book and I CANNOT put it down! It’s FANTASTIC! It’s so comprehensive, understandable, and an incredibly valuable tool for those of us wanting to live the Italian dream. Thank you for making your hard-earned knowledge available to us. I HIGHLY recommend your book. Thanks again!
Sir. You are AWESOME! Your advise is very valuable. This is the best way to approach the dream of ownership in Italy. Specially small town living. Thank you for what you do👍
Wise advice securing a temporary rental before buying. That’s what I plan to do. There are multiple areas I dream of living, but you really have to spend time in these places to know what area is right for you.
Love it that you are doing these videos on rentals, definitely the smartest way to go before purchasing a home in Italy. Great advice, and like seeing the listings too. Thanks again for always showing interesting properties and providing important info. Bravo
Thank you, Brad- this was so helpful! Your videos are getting to be so polished and really a delight to watch- I even appreciate that you change up the music in your intros....You get right to the important info, no side stories and I find that wonderful. Grateful for the tip to come in the off season for deeper savings...thanks again!!
Yeah, but hard to find a 30-60 day run with all open dates for renting at discount. You should be able to figure out what the place is like in the destruction. Usually there’s tons of YT videos on any place so check those too….!
Hi Brad, my wife and I really enjoy your channel. We subscribe and like it. The information you're providing is very helpful. We are looking to retire in Puglia.
Hi yes it’s a good idea to rent and drive a car through little towns and Italy to see what towns and regions you like. One of the listings was fm Airbnb. I think many of us can do Airbnb on our own. And when you ask for a favor buy something fm the merchant. Italians are very nice don’t take advantage of them please.
Yeah so that was my buddy and not a random guy. He stayed at my house in US and drank my tequila... He can make a phone call! 🤣 But yes, don't use people. Be a part of the community and they will take care of you.
Lucca was our first love. Lived there three months first time renting Airbnb and gone back every year till covid hit. We have friends there now all the yrs we been going there. I went back this summer and was surprised how high the airbnb rentals are and prices to purchase has skyrocketed.
Thanks again for showing Lucca! I am looking to rent a 2 bedroom right outside the walls beginning in Dec. or January. I’ve been looking every day on Idealista, and hope that after comics weekend, there will be more apts. available.
Thanks Brad, for the videos on Italy. Each one is unique and getting better. I’d love to know the music on the intro to this video (and the one on Pitigliano Italy). Couldn’t seem to source it via google or Shazam. If you can share it, thanks so much.
Short snippets from a music service I subscribe too. Usually titles are vague like “Upbeat Cello” or something. Not really searchable. Sorry!! Glad you like the videos! - Brad
good video. I know Tuscany by heart and I come to Italy once a year, But I always stay in hotels because i don't fully trust Idealists or AirBNB because of the system (been burned in Paris with an apartment that looked great...it was not) . But I am looking for a good one to rent for 3 months. Oh, Bottega Nobile in Montepulciano is great. We always buy wine from them. Say Hi to Antonella there.
Hi, this is very helpful! The only time I get to watch tv is at night and I’ve watched all your videos. Can I Please ask the title/composer of this song you use on this video? I 😍😍 it!!
The songs are snippets from a service I use for basic media components like photos and graphics and music. Usually they have titles like “upbeat cello music” or something like that…. Nothing you can really search. Sorry I can’t help!
Hi Brad, somehow these prices do not seem realistic. When I go onto Airbnb in Lucca as an example I see prices that are more like $1000 per week not month. I guess I need to look more for bargains and deals.
is there any way to know if the owner of the rental is an Italian individual vs a corporate investor? renting for a month a year would be most logical for my circumstances. grazie
great video, please tell me if this makes sense to you. So when my wife and I retire to Italy maybe 3 months before we move, we rent a cheap apt for a year and then use that time to look for our real long, long term apartment to stay? The reason being while I'm Italian American with Dual citizen my wife does not, and I want her to apply for the "Permesso di Soggiorno" right away especially because she needs to get health insurance right away for very important prescriptions.
Just remember that she needs to apply for the ERV or some visa before coming to Italy, then apply for the PdiS.... And that takes about a year to complete. THEN you can apply for the health card once you have your PdiS.
Brad just wanted to bring to your attention that somehow your voice is not syncronized with your lips. Also i made a comment here earlier regarding your rentals but now i cant find it anymore. ( weir)
I know and I don’t know what’s causing that. It’s driving me crazy. When only talks it seems to be but I’m off by like half a second. I’ll try to figure it out. I was joking when I called you out about my Spanish in that one dubbed video. 🤪🤣
100% agree on renting first. While we have been to Italy 6 or so times we want to explore different areas before buying something.
Thank u. Lucca is our first love. I like the second apt. Nice. Montepulciano is another option to recharge. 😍

Again these are so helpful! We loved meeting you and have found our location❤
Thank you Brad. Looking forward to more videos on renting in urban centers. Cheers. 👋🏻

Glad you like them! I will keep making the rental ones on different areas.

one thing to consider is renting only off season, to discover you like an area, may surprise you with crowds in season

Thanks for the preview of Lucca. Looking forward to our time there next year.

Yes…. Some popular cities have really seen increases. But just nearby you can still get a nice place for not a lot of money!
Awesome video!!
Thanks Brad. Awesome info....
You're welcome! I hope it helps you find your new home!
Very good information! Thank you!
Thx Brad!! Great video
You are welcome!! Thanks for watching!

@@BradsWorldThanks Brad. I’m getting that service…if you don’t mind sharing it. Phenomenal playlist, you have great taste.
great vid
Useful vid
Glad you think so!
Agreed, I wanted to buy but you are the second person to say rent first.
I'm glad you're seeing the value in renting first. It's a smart move!

I was just there last night and had a bottle with a sub from Seattle before dinner! She is awesome.
@@BradsWorld yes she is . I love her! But not you. You .. I just like. Olivia loves you so that s good for you BAUAHAHAHAHAHAH Ciao

How much is a studio to rent for 3 months in Spring or Fall? Thank you! 😊
Try jumping in Airbnb and search your dates! 💪🏼
There are so many variables. That’s why I say how to search and where. You can do this.

I showed the actual screenshots. Are you looking in Summer? Needs to be offseason.
😉👍
Can you rent for 5-6 months? I thought you could only be in Italy for 90 days then have to leave for 90 days. Thank you!
Without a visa it’s 90 out of 180 days.
is there any way to know if the owner of the rental is an Italian individual vs a corporate investor? renting for a month a year would be most logical for my circumstances. grazie
Probably not until you asked, if even then…. Shouldn’t matter on a short rental unless you got a thing about it.

I have been looking for a nice property in Lucca to buy…
Make sure you email Valerio!
Do any have elevators?
Not in the ‘centro storico’. These buildings are hundreds of years old. There is no space to retro fit.
What if we go there for a dollar like it says for us to move there
Huh?
Isn't there still a local unit that gets bad tenants out.? No judge needed. Judges? Alfonso I gotta problem.
No idea. Wouldn't rent long term... as the one renting to other.

Really wished I'd rented for longer before buying 😮
Do any have elevators?
I don’t personally, various properties will.
