Hey brother Mike Gi Joe Eddie epic adventure here awesome job brother I really enjoyed the info 👍😎 awesome display of the barbie doll house God bless you and your family hope you and your family are doing awesome today thanks again for sharing this awesome video God bless Gi Joe Eddie epic adventure over and out
I have this reproduction house. The furniture is not simple to put together. When I was growing up my siblings and I all played with GI Joe and Barbie together. They would all go to war together.
Wow, amazing! My daughter grew up with Barbie and G.I. Joe. She never separated them. They all just hung out together 😁 I love it! Thanks for the comment
Thanks, Jack!!! I used to see this playset at an antique store, but it was an original and really ratty. Needless to say when my daughter found it at Toys “R” Us as a minty reproduction, I was excited even though it was for her 😋
I think at this point it hasn’t spiked in value, but my assumption is tons of Barbie stuff is going to explode in price over the next six months so if you can afford one today, I would buy it now lol
@@GIDOJO it's still for sale? i figured it was long gone, along with TRU...you did say you got it at TRU, didn't you? we haven't had a TRU in almost that long...maybe longer. i can't recall.
@@Scotty-Z70 yeah this was probably spring 2018 that we bought it. Toys “R” Us closed July 2018. I meant you could probably get one on eBay for not too much money.
its def carboard but it's super high quality. its not encased in clear plastic like the pee wee's playhouse set or vintage carry cases. it does have a certain sheen to it like it may have been treated somehow to protect it@@Scotty-Z70
The movie wasn’t a political statement… it was a social commentary about how the patriarchy hurts both women and men. The actress who portrayed Ruth handler even said towards the end that we humans come up with concepts and constructs to make us feel comfortable about uncomfortable things. How did that all fly past your head?
I think my opinion of the Barbie movie is totally reasonable and well thought out. I am a fan of the movie. I thought it was pretty cool. I do however think it was a bridge too far to try to use a Barbie movie as a vehicle to create some paradigm shift in society. Abolishing the patriarchy is in fact a political issue; “By calling for the dismantling of a societal system, the phrase is inherently political, advocating for changes in power dynamics and social structures.” I am neither for or against these cries to “smash the patriarchy”…. I want people to get their opinions out there and express themselves. In this specific instance however, I still stand by my statement that the Barbie movie didn’t “stick the landing” with its feminist storyline. It’s a good message, just told poorly.
i've collected Barbie since i was a kid in the 70s, got made fun-of all my life, but i refuse to see the Barbie Movie. I hate when people sexualize children's toys, and the "Beach You Off" Ken scene made me so angry.
Oh yeah, I forgot about the beach you off…. It would’ve been almost funny if they said it like twice, but they said it like 12 to 15 times I think. Of course yes that will fly over kids heads, but it still was awkward, uncomfortable, not funny, etc..
@@GIDOJO and i'd hate to be the parent to have to explain it to my child. And if i tried to skirt the issue, I just know he's going to think it was funny (on a different level) and try to use it at school and get in trouble.

You are a dream 😍
Before you unfolded the case, I thought that was Barbie's Dream Trailer! =^[.]~=
Haha Barbie should’ve had a trailer 😅
Do you still have that AT training tower piece?
@@GIDOJO Sure do. Just get me a mailing address, and it's all yours, Mike. =^[.]^=

Agreed!! 😁 I need to pick up that 70s dreamhouse 🤔 thanks for the comment!!
Thanks...My wife still has the original...
Wow, it’s so hard to get a hold of vintage cardboard playsets. That’s amazing you all still have it 😁
i had no clue this existed! i prolly would have grabbed it.

@@GIDOJO oh, is it cardboard or vinyl-covered cardboard? when you unlatched the latches it looked like a vinyl case like we all had in the 70s
