T-34-85 never disappoints.
Such a good vehicle. Was working on recording for my next video and they kept giving me a hard time, karma at its finest.
I recommend playing the spj/fm 43-44. It is at 1.7 sweden and has a 150mm gun. I had loads of fun in it myself.
I’ll have to check it out and add it to my list to make a video on. I love anything with fun calibers in the triple digits

@@elcangry855 the T-44 is another favorite. Sure the 85mm starts getting outclassed at its BR, but the lower profile and sloped armor make it an apex predator. Thanks for watching!

Wow, thanks so much for the kind words and support! While I do take inspiration from other popular UA-camrs in terms of video composition, I always try to do my own thing. I don’t see myself as a UA-camr, I’m just a guy playing a game and talking to my friends.
Ive got a few videos in the works, but I haven’t played either of the ASU’s in a while, so that’s definitely going on my list.
I haven't played the T-34-85 all that much but it is indeed, one of the best medium tanks in War Thunder. Your Gun is great. Your mobility is also, great. (Except for reverse gear, that's pretty bad) and you actually bonce a good number of rounds even from Tigers and Panthers because of the volumetric properties of the turret and the well known driver's port. You actually survive side-on shots sometimes because your fuel tanks will complete delete the round before it does any damage to you.
Great video as always. Hope to see Tortoise soon. It's a really underrated vehicle in WT.
Not to mention the add on track armor (traditionally they just used infantry), that takes some of the brunt of impacts from chemical and kinetic rounds.
Gun depression isn’t that great, -5° which is typical for Soviet designs, but nonetheless it is a monster when played correctly.

I played the finnish one and it's very good. Tho I suck at flanking so I die quite often 😂
I die a lot when trying to flank too. Good rule of thumb is similar to “there’s always a bigger fish”….theres almost always someone outflanking you.
Holding fire until the right time is also difficult for me, as I want to just see the glorious “Target Destroyed” pop up on my screen. Thanks for watching!

Thank you very much for the support! There were multiple times in these games where I should have been sent to the hanger (the ST-A3 moment rings a bell) but the glorious depleted stalinium kept us alive

@@PolarPlays_ I like modern ones more tbh. My favorite is technically not Soviet so idk if it counts but it's the T-90M that was added a short while ago. It just looks so cool and it's ungodly powerful. I can literally just roll into a town on any city map and brawl with even the highest penning tanks at top tier like the leopard 2a7v. If I had to pick Soviet, I'd say the object 292. It's just such a crazy design, taking a T-80 and bolting a massive 152mm yeet cannon onto it.
My favorite from WW2 has to be the IS-2 1944 tho. Hits like a truck and can take even more in return and still keep going. Pretty much carried me all the way thru rank 4.
@@RedVRCC I should clarify if I ever say “Soviet” when referring to vehicles in WT I just mean Russian.
The object 292 is absolutely insane. I need to play more with it, even though the autoloader is slower than most crewed reloads at that BR, it’s nice to have.
