My favourite thing about sheamus/drew promo was after drew said burger after burger, sheamus fired back with '' I can lose the weight, you can't lose stupid '' gold segment.
I was surprised that it wasn't mentioned at all in the review. Definitely the best part of the segment

The reason for these releases is you can't constantly be calling up new talent from NXT without having to cut some of the dead weight not doing anything.

If you’re not good you going to get fired
You CAN if you use NXT like the junior league it is and relegate as freely as you call up.
The issue is they're pretending NXT is a third brand on par with the other two so they don't like to send 'em back.
@@liamthompson7853 Problem is they don’t even do that, if it was like that they would have three main event scenes, three midcards scenes and three jobbers scenes. But they get called up from NXT so it doesn’t work like that.
At some point they need to regulate the influx of new guys.
@@liamthompson7853 They send down talent to make appearances but for the most part don't send any main roster talent on a full time basis. Well unless you're Baron Corbin or Ridge Holland.

On a serious note, Jey hasn't been able to get over as a believable top star since SummerSlam because they won't let him cut serious, human promos anymore. Remember his promos when he first faced Roman, when he reluctantly joined the Bloodline, and when Sami got involved? They are what got him and his character over, and boosted him to being a believable main eventer
He kind of had that at the start of his promo this week. But then after Damien finished his promo, all Jey coulf muster was calling Priest "Dom's b**ch*" and getting the crowd to say Yeet
Please WWE for the love of god un-Flanderize Jey Uso and let him cut human promos like Drew is doing.
He looks aimless,he became just a guy with a catchy theme and catchphrase
Even Jim Cornette called it out, Jey promos are not hitting it, the "Yeet" in promos are too forced. Unlike the LA Knight "Yeah!" catchphrase which is organic in promos and blends well. But Jey Uso's "Yeet" feels super forced coz he just want the crowd to engage in it. He needs to cut it down, should be reduced to a "Yes" chant like Danielson in a match. The he needs to get back doing serious promos like when he was feuding Roman Reigns.

@@Raphmatic5000 Him & Cedric Alexander. I have no idea how those two have lasted this long. I doubt the company the company would try hard to keep Natalya either. She may be a beloved veteran but no way WWE is going to seriously try to retain her given she's gone as far as she'll ever go & is very low on the totem pole. I expect Natalya & Jinder in TNA soon given that they're both Canadian & TNA is primarily based out of Canada now.

I'm good with the decision of putting it on Becky. To me Liv isn't an option, she's nowhere near as good as everyone seems to think and the run she had was terrible. Nia is an interesting option but there's risks involved with that. Ultimately Becky was the best option. For those saying put the belt on someone new, I'd say that's a bad idea. You shouldn't put a belt on someone who hasn't been built at all. It's a bad idea to build someone by putting the belt on them first.

The storyline with Liv would have been better and bragging about how she got it and what she had to do to get it just to continue her feud with Rhea

Short of Nia Jax, who’s still terrible - no one else made sense to win that match but Becky.
And even then - The “battle royale” match, especially with no build up; is no way to give someone their first title run.
People saying Liv should get her run with the belt - fair enough; (I disagree, but that’s irrelevant) - but let her win the belt by someone (Becky?) putting her over, not from a dumb battle royale.
It’ll mean a lot more when Rhea comes back, If Liv can say “I took out X Y or Z, and now my revenge will be complete when I beat you and prove I deserved this” and put even more momentum behind their fued. At which point they can THEN decide if they want Rhea to have the belt back; and more importantly . Have her turn megaface; coming back from injury - and Liv megaheel, screwing her out of the belt.
Alternatively, if Becky still has the belt, Rhea can come back and be like “oh look, second place has been keeping my belt warm for me” and it’s an option to turn Becky heel again; depending on crowd reaction.
Either way, it just goes to show how awful the division is; that they literally had no one left, or “ready” to give the belt to, than Becky. She’s the only legit star they still have - unless they wanna throw cargill into the mix.
I agree she needs more build up but that first run failing was 100%ronda

I've only just learned the lore of the moustache break, and I'm all for it.
Actually, Gable's heel turned out to be great. He used to be a comedy heel with no direction, and this heel turn has a purpose, plus him being heel and while the rest of the stablemates forced into helping him not being heels has a potential of a compelling storyline.
Yes! The mustache break is back! I’ve never been so happy about the return of a segment in all my life.
The weirdest part of that Women's Championship battle royal for me was the final sequence on the apron. Liv pulled Becky through the middle and top rope, so Becky was never in any danger of being eliminated during that whole last sequence. It severely undermined the stakes of that final sequence for me, and it also made me wonder why Becky didn't just grab Liv and jump down from the apron to drag Liv down - I mean, Becky couldn't get eliminated regardless...
I have to imagine that was just a brain-fart on Liv and Becky's part. I think the refs at ringside even yelled at them to get back in the ring right after Liv pulled Becky out to the apron
Yep the dude who was looking at their feet audibly told them to get back in. I didn't know why in the moment, Becky not going over the top rope makes sense
Should have just been a triple threat with Becky, Liv and Nia. I guess they didn't want any of them to be pinned this early, I could see Becky feuding with both (and eventually defending in a triple threat with both) during this title run

Thanks for the RAW review as Sportsnet in Canada was airing NHL hockey last night and moved RAW to the OLN channel that no one watches.
i am subscribed to sportnet online, thus i am able to watch all wwe shows the next day on replay so no big deal if they have hockey the night before.

I loved the Gable dressing down the Academy segment it gave me Heel Kurt Angle vibes when he used to dress down Team Angle. If Chad doesn't beat Sami at some point for the title I'll be shocked.
I hope the best for jinder, wasnt his choosing to have the title. I kinda see him as the roman reigns that didnt progress. Hopefully he can go to T.N.A to either team up with or fued with heath (I feel that may be the best option for him) as I dont see AEW or NJPW chomping at the bit to get him.

It’s no accident that some tag teams are broken up, and one guy goes on to success while the other flounders and eventually gets sacked. Imperium is just another example.

Drew is the freaking mvp. He's got great in ring psychology, an intimidating look , and always a plan. He reminds me of a red hot triple H. This is a fantastic opportunity to create a great, new cerebral assasin, "Perhaps the Chosen assasin?"

I do have mixed feelings on Imperium splintering as I thought Vinci and Kaiser would win tag team gold at some point. Also, I can't believe I'm saying this as I am a New Day fan but their portion of the promo and match against Imperium kinda sucked. Maybe Kofi and Xavier need to do something to freshen up the act
