I just accepted delivery on mine. I got a black one with the recon package. Took 6 months to build and deliver but it was totally worth it! I'm averaging 13 mpg but its the most enjoyable use of gas I've ever experienced. I had a 2019 loaded v6 Rubicon I traded in. What a wonderful upgrade.

Probably the best 392 video on YT, I've watched all of them before taking delivery of my 392XR a couple of days ago. One thing this jeep does have over the g wagon is that G wagon went to independent suspension in 19'. That left the wrangler as the only production suv in America with a solid front axle. My 392XR is the most amazing vehicle I have ever been in. If they come back for 23' I'm getting another one.

Since the majority of them are driven by wealthier folks with not a lot of tolerance for harder ride, Mercedes went independent for the new G and you can REALLY feel it. I can't count how many Gwagons have been traded in because the wife didnt like how it drove but liked how it looked. I'm right there with you on the 392XR as well. I owned a 19 G63 right before it and well, you EXPECT it to be what it is due to how much you are paying for it. With the 392XR, I feel like it's a steal for what it is, making it one of my all time favorite vehicles I've ever owned.

G wagons are nice, but lost a lot of capability on the trail and do not have an open air configuration option. I don't feel it's an exaggeration to say that nothing quite like this Jeep has ever been produced, or ever will be again. I would buy 3 if I could.
I've been saying the 392 is a poor man's G Wagon. Call it a J Wagon. It is one of the reasons I am getting a 392XR. It is a g63 without the Kardashian vibe.
@@StudioMotors Dealer says it has a build date of 3/28. Hoping to have it in my driveway by end of April. They are saying it can take a few weeks in shipping after it is built. Your reasons are kind of my thought process and why I chose to buy one.

Ha I just bought one for $97k. Xtreme recon power slide roof sting gray maxed out option. I bought a new corvette c8 same day as well lol. Have not even drove the c8 at all !!! The 392 is that awesome!!! This damn thing is fast.
@@StudioMotors I bought it used 3 months old 2022 rubicon 392 xtreme recon package + pwr touch sky roof. Only 288 miles!!!! Sticker msrp on it was $87k. I paid $97k. It’s practically NEW!!! new ones at my local dealerships want $110k - $115k. Nevertheless these are very rare so I bought it 🤗

Appreciate you C Gans! I ordered in August as a 21, which was eventually cancelled by Jeep and switched to a 22. It delayed the process but the awesome thing was that they honored the 21 pricing for the 22 model which had gone up in price a few grand. i would like to have one. but a non hybrid like the 392 cost 256.000$ here in greenland because the government here sucks HAHA. if i want a non hybrid thats cost 100.000$ then i we have to pay 100% more of what the vehicle cost, so 200.000$... so i got my self a jeep wrangler 4xe and i like it. but would much more have it with the hemi

Yea man you totally get it! The good news is you will do ok selling your 21 Rubicon, they hold strong value, you may even pull decent equity out of it. But place an order for a 392 asap. Just make sure you get yourself an allocation, when it gets close to landing, you can decide which direction to go.
Put my order in for a 392 just days after the XR package was removed. Kinda bummed but who knows if XR will ever come back before the 392 is completely removed, now or never. So it looks like axels and tires are the first mods when it arrives in 6 + months.
Dude that sucks so bad. There were a lot of people on the Jeep forums contemplating if they should add Xtreme Recon to their order or just place it as a normal 392. They were doing some odd math to see if its worth it or not etc. I was reading these posts and thinking, you gotta be kidding me!!! Now its not available and it seems like XR is the ONLY thing anyone wants to order.

Picked up a Sarge Green XR a few weeks back from dealer inventory - freaking love it! I came from a '21 Lexus RC F which was a great car, the 392 is just amazing though. It is, in my opinion, the perfect vehicle and probably the only Jeep I would have been happy with in the long run. So much fun!
Dude I love it! As someone into sports cars that got into Jeeping, I totally hear you. It's not easy going from something so quick and awesome like the RCF to a big ol heavy Jeep, but if you're gonna do it the 392 leaves no gaps in excitement all around. Congrats on the purchase Robert!

G-63 vibe, agree. I have a 22 two door rubicon wangler. The jump from an 06 wangler to this one is major. Ive been describing it too as close to the mercedes g wagon.

Great video, super energetic speaking! I am a small man who owns a 21 XR 392 and I love the tank vibe this car is giving me! I traded my 21 4XE to 21 XR 392 15 days before JEEP announced 20th 392. At that day I was so frustrated / regretful because I should just wait to order the 20a limited version. Your video made my day because now I am thinking just buying another 20th 392 and also keep my current one since I believe the values they will bring me. I'm not saying I want to make 392 as an investment but I bet I won't be wrong to keep 2 392s in house, cuz I believe they will become legacy /collectable and you also said it!
Wish this option was available before I decided on an 6.2 LT1/10L90 swap in my Wrangler JKU....Same HP/TQ specs as the 6.4 392 so it's comparable in power and GM warranties the engine/transmission 3 year/36k....either way having a powerful V8 backed by a multi speed transmission in a JKU is a beautiful thing! 👍🏼
Man, I hear you. I almost did the same with my JK. I supercharged it and it was pretty good for a while but it's nowhere near the same as having a V8. I was contemplating dropping an LS in it instead of selling it and decided if I'm going to drop an LS into a Wrangler than I might as well do it to a JL. So I sold it and before I can make a move on a new JL, the 392s were announced.
@@narekohanyan5995 it was for 22’ models. They opened up the 23’ order banks in June and its available again. If you go look right now, you can build a Jeep with the XR package.
I still think it is sad that Jeep still will not make a locking hood on any wrangler. If I was a thief I would be stripping the top half the jeeps engine every chance I got.

I’ve looked at these 392 Jeeps and know a couple people that own them…..very cool because of the 392 v8 but imo and my wife’s opinion, they don’t drive as nice and the new Bronco. In fact we both like the Bronco so much we each bought one…I custom ordered a Sasquatch with the 2.7 TT and was very impressed with the power..granted it’s not a 500 hp 392 but more than enough power to move the Bronco.. Basic bolt on mods like exhaust, intake and a tune brings the 2.7 close to 400hp…. I’m more into the capabilities of the Bronco vs how fast it is, but I do like the giddy up!😅
It will be better than the outgoing V6 for sure, it will also be better than the Hemi on gas and emissions. But I cant imagine a twin turbo I6 being more fun than a 6.4L Hemi V8, just don't see it. The 500hp version of the I6 may even be faster than the Hemis, but that's not really the "fun" in the Rubicon 392. It's the grunt, the jump when you slap the pedal, the little monster truck vibes. I personally don't have a desire to drive this thing as fast as possible. It's a Jeep at the end of the day. But having this loud, big ol American Hem'i that pops, crackles on lift, and gives you instant response... its SO GOOD!
It's not a "car", it is a convertible SUV, because it is more like a pickup than anything else, being that it is a body-on-frame design off-road vehicle.
I disagree, and it's not because I can't afford one, lol. But because I am not allowed to enjoy the over 400 horse power without getting a ticket and high insurance cost. So I got a regular rubicon and saved myself 50000 dollars instead
Traded in my Hellcat for my 392 Wrangler.... Zero regrets. This is the most deceiving vehicle on the road with the performance exhaust. The hype is real..

Any jeep wrangler costing over $80k isn't reasonable my friend. Being able to hit 0-60 in 4.5 seconds is kinda kewl ngl...but how does that work when the package your speaking about (#2 reason to buy) is designed for rock crawling and trails with obstacles that you literally need to lower your speed or you will need to enjoy looking at your overpriced package while shedding tears in the glass window of a service station and body shop. Great marketing for them though.

Yea man it seems like we wont even get a 2023 with the Hemi in it, the new Inline 6 twin turbo is ready to go. It's no Hemi but I'm hoping its a strong engine with room to grow. Inline 6 is so much superior to V6 layouts.
Gotta start with something and the Sport is a great start. Its one of the few cars you dont have to sell and get a new one to make it nicer or better. You upgrade as you go, and the Wrangler holds resale value like a beast!
Lol…If Jeep and Dodge discontinue everything then they will lose a lot of people too Ford and GM! So this I say too that “Talk is Cheap”….we’ll see what happens!
Haha that would be awesome but no, they dont offer the Xtreme Recon Package on 4xE Wranglers. But you can get a 4xE Rubicon which is pretty cool. They are very quick too
The 392 is being replaced by the new Inline 6 TT hurricane engine that's in the works at Stellantis. Seems like an awesome engine but there's something special about a big Jeep with a big 6.4L NA in it
I am sorry, but for half the price of the G63, you get something far more important than blingy-status, you get articulation. Regardless of having 3 differential lockers, the IFS is the ultimate limiting factor of the G-Wagen, making the Wrangler a better buy. Rubicon 392 > G63 all day, everyday. Coincidentally, you could throw the other 50% you saved on the Rubicon to make it a hardcore rock crawler that happens to boast a naturally-aspirated V8. And yes, with a correctly tuned suspension that can serve all your rock crawling needs and still be a civilised daily-driver, would make it far superior to everything else on the road of the same size.
Honestly if they were to seriously move away from tiny little engines and push electric and hybrid then Stellantis could happily keep making HEMI's albeit w/ a little more focus on MPG vs raw power. But whoever is actually running the roadmap in most these companies are just dim.
EXCELLENT VIDEO! I’ve owned many Jeeps over the years, went to the dealership to buy a new Rubicon and the wife fell in love with the 392. It is hands down the best Jeep I’ve ever owned. Worth every penny. It’s an experience that’s hard to put into words, can’t wait to take it off-road. It's not a real Wrangler. Let me explain.. The 8 speed is programed with slow soft shifts. The thing is FULL TIME 4X4. always in 4 wheel drive. The axles are wimpy.
The question is not wether we should get it. It's wether we can get an allocation for it. I'm in Canada, and my dealer said "forget it". I got the Rubicon '22 V6 all-black instead.
It's hard to get an allocation in the states as well. 2023 orders have opened up so you might have some luck there Laurent! Either way, hope you enjoy your new jeep in good health 🤠

I don’t know why it took me so long to find your channel but man I’m glad I did. G-63 vibe, agree. I have a 22 two door rubicon wangler. The jump from an 06 wangler to this one is major. Ive been describing it too as close to the mercedes g wagon.
Oh that jump from the minivan engine 06 to a 2022 must have been insane. I went from a 15 Rubicon to a 22, totally feel you!

I traded my 21 4XE to 21 XR 392 15 days before JEEP announced 20th 392. At that day I was so frustrated / regretful because I should just wait to order the 20a limited version. Your video made my day because now I am thinking just buying another 20th 392 and also keep my current one since I believe the values they will bring me. I'm not saying I want to make 392 as an investment but I bet I won't be wrong to keep 2 392s in house, cuz I believe they will become legacy /collectable and you also said it!

Wish this option was available before I decided on an 6.2 LT1/10L90 swap in my Wrangler JKU....Same HP/TQ specs as the 6.4 392 so it's comparable in power and GM warranties the engine/transmission 3 year/36k....either way having a powerful V8 backed by a multi speed transmission in a JKU is a beautiful thing! 👍🏼
Man, I hear you. I almost did the same with my JK. I supercharged it and it was pretty good for a while but it's nowhere near the same as having a V8. I was contemplating dropping an LS in it instead of selling it and decided if I'm going to drop an LS into a Wrangler than I might as well do it to a JL. So I sold it and before I can make a move on a new JL, the 392s were announced.

They still let you order the XR? They told me it was discontinued in April
@@narekohanyan5995 it was for 22’ models. They opened up the 23’ order banks in June and its available again. If you go look right now, you can build a Jeep with the XR package.

I’ve looked at these 392 Jeeps and know a couple people that own them…..very cool because of the 392 v8 but imo and my wife’s opinion, they don’t drive as nice and the new Bronco. In fact we both like the Bronco so much we each bought one…I custom ordered a Sasquatch with the 2.7 TT and was very impressed with the power..granted it’s not a 500 hp 392 but more than enough power to move the Bronco..
Basic bolt on mods like exhaust, intake and a tune brings the 2.7 close to 400hp….
I’m more into the capabilities of the Bronco vs how fast it is, but I do like the giddy up!😅

New inline 6 turbo will be much better all around
It will be better than the outgoing V6 for sure, it will also be better than the Hemi on gas and emissions. But I cant imagine a twin turbo I6 being more fun than a 6.4L Hemi V8, just don't see it. The 500hp version of the I6 may even be faster than the Hemis, but that's not really the "fun" in the Rubicon 392. It's the grunt, the jump when you slap the pedal, the little monster truck vibes. I personally don't have a desire to drive this thing as fast as possible. It's a Jeep at the end of the day. But having this loud, big ol American Hem'i that pops, crackles on lift, and gives you instant response... its SO GOOD!
I love my 392 XR! Took mine about 5 months to arrive. Oh, and please stop calling it a car... ;)

Any jeep wrangler costing over $80k isn't reasonable my friend. Being able to hit 0-60 in 4.5 seconds is kinda kewl ngl...but how does that work when the package your speaking about (#2 reason to buy) is designed for rock crawling and trails with obstacles that you literally need to lower your speed or you will need to enjoy looking at your overpriced package while shedding tears in the glass window of a service station and body shop. Great marketing for them though.

Yea man it seems like we wont even get a 2023 with the Hemi in it, the new Inline 6 twin turbo is ready to go. It's no Hemi but I'm hoping its a strong engine with room to grow. Inline 6 is so much superior to V6 layouts.

Gotta start with something and the Sport is a great start. Its one of the few cars you dont have to sell and get a new one to make it nicer or better. You upgrade as you go, and the Wrangler holds resale value like a beast!

Haha that would be awesome but no, they dont offer the Xtreme Recon Package on 4xE Wranglers. But you can get a 4xE Rubicon which is pretty cool. They are very quick too
This 392 might be discontinued in 2 years but the full electric/hybrid variant to follow will be more powerful.

The 392 is being replaced by the new Inline 6 TT hurricane engine that's in the works at Stellantis. Seems like an awesome engine but there's something special about a big Jeep with a big 6.4L NA in it

I am sorry, but for half the price of the G63, you get something far more important than blingy-status, you get articulation. Regardless of having 3 differential lockers, the IFS is the ultimate limiting factor of the G-Wagen, making the Wrangler a better buy.
Rubicon 392 > G63 all day, everyday.
Coincidentally, you could throw the other 50% you saved on the Rubicon to make it a hardcore rock crawler that happens to boast a naturally-aspirated V8. And yes, with a correctly tuned suspension that can serve all your rock crawling needs and still be a civilised daily-driver, would make it far superior to everything else on the road of the same size.
Yea man I get you, but have you driven an 18+ G63? Those things are incredible. They get the blingy vibe but it's truly an amazing SUV
Honestly if they were to seriously move away from tiny little engines and push electric and hybrid then Stellantis could happily keep making HEMI's albeit w/ a little more focus on MPG vs raw power. But whoever is actually running the roadmap in most these companies are just dim.

EXCELLENT VIDEO! I’ve owned many Jeeps over the years, went to the dealership to buy a new Rubicon and the wife fell in love with the 392. It is hands down the best Jeep I’ve ever owned. Worth every penny. It’s an experience that’s hard to put into words, can’t wait to take it off-road. The 8 speed is programed with slow soft shifts. The thing is FULL TIME 4X4. always in 4 wheel drive. The axles are wimpy.

I been contemplating whether to get the 392. I seen so many videos on UA-cam that talked about the 392 and I even follow most them. I don’t know why it took me so long to find your channel but man I’m glad I did.
