Darksiders 2 Soul Splitter Level Up Glitch

Sorry for the poor quality, I do not have video capture. Playing on the 360 and at level 29 and on the L-Bridge in the City Of The Dead. I soul split, drop the spikes and proceed in to the next area, kill the two wraiths, get a skill point, a "Level Up" message but no actual level up to 30. The XP bar is empty and I am still at level 29. I did this many times with the same results..

No, that glitch never went away, I just continued on past that point and leveled up from 29-30 all over again..

Just FYI, this extra point is lost on re-spec. I guess the game recalculates your points rather than refunding them all.

Please keep in mind that this is creative critique, not whining for the sake of whining.
In a video, you've got audible and visual media feeding you information simultaneously. Reading a description before or after watching the video a) takes more time and b) is ineffective. My suggestion for future "how-to" videos is a really simple verbal description of what is happening in the video. Doesn't have to be complicated.

Where do I go to set my moves that I get from the upgrades? I can't find out how to set the buttons so I can use my upgrades.

When you do this glitch, did your skill reverse 1 skill point for you, or you can continuing gaining skill point ad long as you want to max both skill tree?
