I had never actually done thus before because I thought it would be too hard, but I tried after watching this and it turned out really good! Tip:if you want a two tone bracelet, you can use a different colour for the middle strand. It ends up looking awesome!
I made one of platinum wire, and melted the ends into tiny beads. The 'tightness' of the slide is critical to making it work well and stay looking nice.
Thank you! Thank you! for showing how you made the adjustable closure...I couldn't find anywhere else how it was actually done on the bracelet itself!!
Just finished making one, looks really good! I used brick layers line and it worked just fine, you just have to use a lighter to burn the ends where she used nail polish...
WOW! You have made this S.S. Knot/Cobra Bracelets so easy for me. I will be doing it with my youth class sometime soon. This will be the perfect Friendship band for the 30th July, 2014.
You can definitely use embroidery floss (what friendship bracelets are traditionally made out of). The knots might look a bit smaller, but the result is still the same.
Very clearly explained and good camera coverage/angles. Like the clear nail polish idea. Looks much nicer than burning. Good job! Thanks for sharing...this gave me an idea for a different project.
I get that question all the time! Unfortunately I got it from a random street vendor in Mexico but I've been playing around with wire to see if I can recreate it. If I figure it out, I'll post a video!
Your videos are very motivational, especially for someone just getting started with craft videos, like myself. Thank you so much for sharing your talents.
I just made mine out of parachute cord, turned out great. The size of my cord was 7.6m that's the small cord, not the big size cord. For my closure I used end caps the ones that you crimp down and 2 jump rings and a lobster clasp. I love it. I'm gonna get different color cords and make more.
AWESOME! I was looking for how to make adjustable closure for my bracelet and a way to stop the trimmed edges from slipping and your methods are the best
Out of all the videos and booklets I have I must say this video was far more impressive and the easiest to follow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
she uses cotton cord, that's what your supposed to make it with smh I tried it with embroidery floss and it worked out fine, its just pretty thin so keep that in mind ig if you try it (lol ik this is 6 years old but ig if someone else finds this they'll know)
This works with everything! I love it soooo much! Super helpful I even used friendship bracelets with mine and it still worked great. Thanks for the amazing tutorial
Hi Shelly! I've been having this problem with some of the channels that I'm subscribed too. Try un-subscribing and then re-subscribing. That might help!
Michelle Soule The twist is fine. If you are using yarn the bracelet twists because the ply in the yarn is twisted. Hope this helps answering your question!
I'm using different materials, but it happens with all of them. I originally watched a different tutorial, I'll pay close attention to your, thank you for answering.
can you do a tutorial on crocheting wrap bracelets or necklaces, with beads! Or do you already have one??? Your tutorial was great simply said and easy to follow love it!
If you're still confused about how to tie the square knot, I left a link to my square knot tutorial in the description box beneath the video. Hope that helps!
I loved your tutorial, it was so easy to follow. Now can you tell me how much thread would I need to make a necklace. I want it to come down as low as middle of tummy , or be able to wear it short. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Cheers Rosie. 🦋
Do you have a suggestion on what ply cord to use? I tried a 3-ply irish waxed linen cord....and it's super super super thin, you can barely see the knot design.
Ok - please let us know if you post a video - I love that ring so much. I've never twisted wire or made any jewelry like that so not sure I could do it
really liked the video ...but can you make ankle bracelet ...coz I have been searching and I found nothing except ankle bracelets that look exactly like hand bracelets
Thank you for this video. Thus project is so fun to do. I want to try this with some of the girls at the afterschool program I volunteer at. I tried this with yarn just now and it came out okay for my first time. I lost track of the pattern so if I look underneath my project it's missing some boxes lol Also the bracelet is too thin for my taste so if anyone decides to use this method with yarn it is best to double up. So for example the middle tail should have 2 strands. The same for the other strings we are crossing over the middle. So in total you'll have 6 strings but it will be 2,2,2. You would cross them as if there are only three strands you are working with.
Hamsta i recommend doing ur arms length so like stretch both ur arms out and that’s prbly a good length and then make the bracelet to the length where u want it i wouldn’t make it exactly the width of ur wrist but a little bigger so it’s not too tight
will do this with my little crafters...we did Shambala bracelets last week but it was a little too complicated for them so they soon lost interest...thank you for the tutorial...
Seven years later, your video still helps people like me who just start making this bracelet. I do it in my spare time. Thank you 🤗
I’m glad people are still watching! ❤️
What is the rope called?
Same here just made it, its such a usefull tutorial
Ah, let the quarantine fun and learning begin
💩
Yep lol
😀😀😀
I love this comment ❤ 🤣

I love how this project adds a personal touch.

I'm using waxed cotton cord. Any type of thick cord works well for this. I wouldn't recommend using yarn for this.
66 inches and 18 inches are the measurements for the cords you'll need. Check the description bar for more info.
what if i don’t have a ruler how else can i measure it?
66inches or 66cm its too long for 66inches almost 5ft
@@feighmarbella729 I believe is 36, because is the double of 18 🤔
I've been looking how to make my bracelets adjustable for the longest time! thank you so much!

ur video still helps after 9 years
No, I got it on vacation. I'd love to learn how to make something that intricate. One day!
I like that you mentioned to alternate sides ! Most videos don't tell you that part.. I had to figure it out by trial and error
Thank you! I used to make these like crazy with hemp in the 00s but I lost it. Easy and fun!! Love your style!!!
I'm planning to use this to make a couple bracelets to wear my deceased uncles tie tacs ❤ thank you so much!
Do you need help with the conversion to centimeters or something else?
simpleDIYs i Dont think this worked good Bc I have thin string
Yes
I don't see the square knot tutorial link 1:03 - was the annotation pop up removed? I'm going to try this one though. Wish me luck!
Yes, I've heard them called both.
Any type of thick cord works well. I wouldn't use thinner string or embroidery floss for this project.
I've never tried it before, but I don't think so. It seems like it would be too thick.
All of all the videos of this type of tutorial, this was my favorite 🤗
Keep up the good work!!!
Could u do this with normal thread, or plastic lace?
Yes
No
hemp chord works pretty much the same it's just a thinner chord, and i find it cute for a thinner type of square knot bracelet
Very nice tutorial. Also, if I am using embroidery floss, how many inches would I need to make this bracelet? Thanks for the tutorial again!
AWESOME! I was looking for how to make adjustable closure for my bracelet and a way to stop the trimmed edges from slipping and your methods are the best
Yaaaaassss thank you, the only video that actually explained it to me. Totally liking and subscribing
Your so creativity
I've never used any sort of wool cord/string before, but I'd imagine that it could work.
Out of all the videos and booklets I have I must say this video was far more impressive and the easiest to follow. Thank you for sharing your knowledge
Can i use embroidery floss?

nice video...someboy finally shows in the right way.... did you say 66 inch and 18 inch cord?
This works with everything! I love it soooo much! Super helpful I even used friendship bracelets with mine and it still worked great. Thanks for the amazing tutorial
I used wax cotton cord and yes, it is durable. The way you tie the knots and whether or not you seal the bracelet help a lot with durability.
haha I've been collecting for years! definitely a nail polish junkie :)
Can burning the ends seal them off? I don’t have clear polish. 😔
Hi Shelly! I've been having this problem with some of the channels that I'm subscribed too. Try un-subscribing and then re-subscribing. That might help!
OMG THANK YOU THIS WAS EXACTLY WHAT U WAD LOOKING FOR!! I almost gave up but u saved my life!! I finally found it!
Edit: never mind...
same
Thanks this was really easy to follow (: you’re good at explaining things
That depends on how big your wrist is. You can always hold the bracelet up to your wrist as you're making it to determine how many knots to make.
You are so helpful, for some reson it keeps twisting, and suggestions?
Michelle Soule The twist is fine. If you are using yarn the bracelet twists because the ply in the yarn is twisted. Hope this helps answering your question!
I'm using different materials, but it happens with all of them. I originally watched a different tutorial, I'll pay close attention to your, thank you for answering.
so clear! Thank you! I found it useful to loosely tape down the middle string so I could see what i was doing better :)
can you do a tutorial on crocheting wrap bracelets or necklaces, with beads! Or do you already have one??? Your tutorial was great simply said and easy to follow love it!
OMG love these so much! Saw some like this in h&m but these are so much cuter.
I am in love with your ring... Where did you get it??
Really simple and cute - the colors are groovy. Your videos have a really nice vibe - Thanks!

Hi, thank you for the video. Does the nail polish seal well, and got thru showers? TIA, xo
Why would you wear it on the shower? Just take it off water wears rope and it will break it
💔
What is that background board you're working on? It is so cool, I want one!
If you're still confused about how to tie the square knot, I left a link to my square knot tutorial in the description box beneath the video. Hope that helps!

Does.it have to be that type of yarn
Can it be regular yarn and different mixed colors??

if you cut all strings at the same lenth and bend both it stays quite nice as well (=
It's cool ! Free style easy and simple. With true colors!
Yes! Or hemp cord or any other type of cord.
simpleDIYs 0:30-0:49 I’m lost please help
It has multiple names and yes, cobra stitch is another way to refer to it.
LoVe it♡ I makeone and I loved it and I also made one out of wool
Do you have a suggestion on what ply cord to use? I tried a 3-ply irish waxed linen cord....and it's super super super thin, you can barely see the knot design.
This was satisfying to watch ♡
Ok - please let us know if you post a video - I love that ring so much. I've never twisted wire or made any jewelry like that so not sure I could do it

I like how you describe the square knot bracelets : D

My 7 year old daughters loves making these. Thank you!!!
i used freindship bracelet thread and mine turned out great
ok thanks I was about to ask if it would work with friendship bracelet thread
Hui Shi you use 2 strands on the outsides and put 4 in the middle if you use 1 for them it turns out to small
oh ok thanks
Yummy Cupcakes
I amnotsure
Can you use Stretch Magic? I think it'll be cool if you could use Stretch Magic's clear string
Omg thank you! Could u also add beads in them?
If you'd like to see something similar with beads added, look up Shamballa bracelets.
Thanks so much!, btw, can I just use ordinary string or does it have to be a certain kind? Please reply
No it doesn't matter what kind just as long as u can cut it and it cant break so easily.
Thanks for watching!
I use the same weave on my paracord bracelet. Cool video thanks for the video. Makes me want to get back into hemp jewellery.
This tutorial is awesome 💯👍💞💟
In going to try this cuz it's of of the few videos that are clear and I can understand!! Thx keep doing wat ur doing cuz ur awesome!!
Can you use embroidery thread?
can we?????
yes but the bracelet will be smaller
Look at the description:/
Geovani Ram I am wondering that too
yup you can
Mix two colors where? In the center? I've never tried this before, but I'd imagine that it would make a thicker bracelet.
so your not gonna move the one in the middle and the two on the sides keep knotting each other ?.
Hi
апп
Which thread we use for making this band, plzz tell me and its very nice
How did you make your ring? If you could, please do a tutorial. Thank you!
I doubt she made that lol
Courtney Gant hey

Thank you for this video. Thus project is so fun to do. I want to try this with some of the girls at the afterschool program I volunteer at. Yes great idea i love it its so beautiful👍👍👍👍💖💖
Perfect tutorial for these closing fit slide bracelets. ❤️💯❤️
Does anyone know the length of the bracelet once its finished?
Should i measure my wrist with the string
And if i do then what?
Or should i just make the bracelet up to where it fits my wrist
Hamsta i recommend doing ur arms length so like stretch both ur arms out and that’s prbly a good length and then make the bracelet to the length where u want it i wouldn’t make it exactly the width of ur wrist but a little bigger so it’s not too tight
If I give you my address can you mail me one
this is exactly what I was looking for! came across it accidentally! had no idea it's called a square knot!!!
It perfect but I didn't under stand
will do this with my little crafters...we did Shambala bracelets last week but it was a little too complicated for them so they soon lost interest...thank you for the tutorial...
l love bracelets😘
Loved this tutorial. Helped to de-mystify this elaborate looking knot for my thick brain! Loved the colour pallet, too.
omg so pretty
Hey quick question, what is the thickness of the cord you’re using?
