But anyway, I'm picking Black Grail because unlike Kaleidoscope, I'm currently short one copy to get MLB. Melusine's been Buster farming with non-MLB Black Grail with Koyanskaya and Oberon for the past year. Now she'll hit even harder.

Having a MLB BG I'm picking Kscope. That and the lack of Kscope on my account has inhibited my ability to enjoy using Skadi.
Also on the append skill thing, I always felt that 4*s are the worst when it comes to unlocking them. 5*s just need bond 6 and your non limited/story locked 3 and below you will eventually get it through the FP gatcha. 4*s I'm not even sure if you can get enough coins through bond at NP1.
Black grail of course. I already MLB Kaleid and got 2 more copy of that CE. But for some reasons after 4 years played i still cant MLB Black Grail.
You're in the opposite situation as me, got 3 copies of Black Grail MLB, yet only 4 regular copies of Kscope and I want a Superscope.
Get black grail if you don't have it, it has no replacement if you have a 100% battery servant damage wise in farming (not that common rn but it'll be more common place in the future as i'm sure y'all are aware), you can replace Kscope with either the copescope or some other np charge CE
If you have both i'd actually recommend the Illya CE, it isn't that bad to slap on supports
Good call. Illya CE is a must have on Castoria if you run the invincible comp for CQs.
Indeed, Kscope may be slightly more useful for an early game account (debatable depending on who you pull for a dps). However you won’t be early game for very long, better to plan for the future.

I have 4 scopes and 2 grails. The best option would be for me to MLB Scope. I don't do Grail looping or during challenge quests/90+ currently.
I personally think the answer is BG always unless you already have an MLB copy. The fact of the matter is that it's waaaay easier to hit starting 100% now without kscope. Append 20%, infinite 50% CEs, accessible 75% CEs, spread 30% from castoria. Kscope is a handy utility, but at this point it's a lousy damage dealing CE also. Meanwhile, there just is no CE that compares at damage dealing vs BG. You need to hit a big hp threshold, BG is the strongest option by a mile, and it gets worse with ever inflating HP pools.

She can Black Grail Farm actually, but you'll need Harbetrot with a NP charge on death CE and max NP append
Hard call for me because:
(A) I already have a MLB Black Grail
(B) Having a maxed NP Append on a Servant mostly makes a MLB K-scope redundant + I already have 3
Honest opinion:
- If you dont have any of these CE's, pick Kaleidoscope for better account building.
- If you have a copy of Kscope, pick Black Grail.
- If you have mlb BG, pick Kscope.
People with 3T looping & min turn brainrot tend to forget how difficult it is to get high charge numbers in early game accounts, you can spawn in with a Waver but not a Double Castoria, Tamamo, Skadi and a Oberon so utility is better than damage for early game farming comps, of course later on a matured account can ignore Kscope if they have good supports no denying that.
I think the argument against Kscope is that most any event will give you a 50% charger, usually with a damage boost. Then a borrowed support is 50%. Most dps servants have their own batteries also now. Like, even if you can't loop, an Arash with a starting 50% charge + charge skill + spread charge from castoria is enough to fire off. Then with spread charge as a factor, stuff like the 75% chargers also functionally are the same.
- If you have mlb BG and MLB Kscope, pick Prisma Cosmos.
- If you have mlb BG and MLB Kscope and MLB Prisma Cosmos, pick 2030.
- If you have all mlb, what the point of wanting more you're already a whale?
@@TheEmperorGulcasa Yeah but early non-spenders have so little punching power in the first place that a non-MLB event CE isn't enough to reliably farm materials. I'd say that the only real case for picking BG early game is if you're starting again and want to go full-on meta picking up Waver and another 50% charger.
So my point is: Whoever picks BG early must really know what they're doing, cuz people that play for fun and don't check the wiki & meta constantly wont know what to do with it, if you have at least 2 50% charge supports then yeah BG is king and this argument goes out the window instantly.

@@Matowaar If you can't farm with a non mlb CE, you aren't farming with Kscope either. It doesn't give you anything but basic stats. If you didn't pick waver from your starting ticket you are just hobbling yourself for no real gain either. Fact of the matter is if you aren't taking efficiency into account, you can beat any farming or event stuff with just a borrowed unit, so kscope adding speed doesn't do anything much either.

Having a first turn free NP using only 20% batteries? That makes farming SUPER fast.
Higher end quests you are going to struggle to hit damage thresholds with kscope. You'll need a damage CE or want to use the event CE later on.

@@Kamina.D.Fierce You farm over and over, and kscope doesn't make farming more efficient at this point. You want more event ce slots, and kscope adds no power, so most can't even kill high end farming nodes with a kscope anymore. It's frankly fairly useless for farming and is more a challenge quest tech choice to let supports instant NP.
@TheEmperorGulcasa Maybe for you. Personally I prefer blasting through waves with as few skill activations as possible. Even if it lacks 1 extra event CE slot it makes up for it in timing for me. Morgan is a bulldozer the size of a skyscraper given how good her farming capacity has been for me.
@@Kamina.D.Fierce I mean, it just isn't as efficient, statistically. You can do that if you want. But higher end nodes will not be killed by just morgan with kscope. If you don't care about efficiency, you can kind of do anything, going slower or faster as you please. But then Kscope is just a for fun item, not an efficiency booster.

nah, I think it's fair to complain if you've been getting CEs instead of SSRs
I feel like it might depend on what you play the game for and your deck. I feel like casual people would get more use from Kscope to help for farming, while people who have better decks and want to have some help beating tougher content might prefer the grail.

I have a couple copies of Kscope. And it gets replaced, in a year or so. So, Grail it is.
I'm one drop away from getting MLB Black Grail so it's an easy choice for me.
While I don't have MLB Kaleidoscope isn't necessary for my teams to have.
I hope peeps get what they need or better yet, get lucky on banners and get their last CE copies so they can possibly something else o7

For new players I'd say go for kscope, but for accounts that managed to get a bunch of those free 50% starting CEs from events I think should go for BG.
I do use my MLB kscope and atlas with Morgan cause I don’t wanna use plugsuit, but for my Zenobia with Castoria the kscope isn't needed. Both are worth at MLB at the end of the day but I end up using BG more shockingly lol.

The game has changed more towards servants having innate charge, kscope by design is a bit redundant but, there are corner cases where the servant doesn’t have a charge ability where kscope is better.
In summary of the video though, Kscope if you can get it early on in an account then is worth the pick, but if you have a developed account then Black Grail will be better long term because of the difficultly spike
K scope better for newer players it's bad advice to tell people to get black grail ehen they need to work on their account more.
No, bg for new players is way, way better of a choice.
It will make so they more easily get the mlb in the future, for charge CEs they already have other options like the event 50% charge CEs and other gacha CEs.

Even mlb scope isn't that good over 50% charge CEs with decent effects.
I have it mlb and even in CEs I don't use it over the other CEs.

I think it depends on how long you have been playing. if you are more veteran definitely black grail but if you are starting out and are brand new Kscope. If your a FGO content creator that is starting a new account Black Grail because you know how to play the game.

The problem is many people are thinking like veterans when they should be thinking like someone who doesnt know the game at all. getting fast NPs early game is better and helps out a lot more than black grail does. black grail is great for the veteran but for the new players who join without knowing anything kscope is better

No, you can easily replace kscope with all the other starting charge CEs you get for free or easily in the gacha with 4 and 3* options they will just waste the chance to start the game with bg already unlocked.

Imo non MLB HPscope vs Kscope is pretty marginal difference in comparison. The main selling point is just the starting charge anyway. I’d still go for black grail if you don’t have it MLB yet.

OG Saber Artoria can't quite black grail loop unless you also have summer Chloe, but Salter can after her most recent JP buff. Artoria and Mordred can both loop with Rising Mud Rain, though, which is almost the same thing (I say, coping hard as someone who has three copies of Rising Mud Rain and no Black Grail on my JP account...)

No way kscope has higher damage than cranking ce.. if you have max append on melu then start at 3rd ascension you can double up all skills too
So I have an MLB copy of black grill and a second copy of black girail that's one away from MLB as well. However, I only have 3 copies of K scope. Should I MLB the second black Grail? Or pickup? My fourth copy of k scope.
K- scope is very useful and kinda makes a comeback later in JP.

It's extremely good for new players but after you hit end game Black Grail is much better.

Black Grail. Long term, it will serve you much better than a Kaleidoscope, what with so many Servants having their own batteries now and append skills being a thing. On the other hand, more NP damage will always be something you want and may be short on, what with 90++ nodes coming soon. You might as well get started on collecting Black Grails.
That's also my personal preference. It's anecdotal probably, but over the last four years of playing, I've gotten four Black Grails and only one Kaleidoscope. I find Black Grails a smidge more common in my rolls - therefore easier to get enough copies to max limit break the CE.
Trust me mlb black grail is hardly any better than normal black grail. Therefore it would depend on how you want your approach to cqs and boss fights. I am a collector and I mostly do stall fights and I have an mlb black grail already and it still doesn't always give me the edge I am hoping with mlb bg, so I'm kind of disillusioned about black grail. It is definitely not your final answer. You'd rather want higher np levels and coins to maximize black grail effects. You cannot, I repeat you cannot mow down through a cq just because you have an mlb black grail. But you can with strategic stall teams every single time!😂
K- scope of you are new lots of these players spend a lot played for a long time.
Black Grail won't be useful for years for u since you need high level np servants and the meta supports with k-scope.
Your main focus should be to clear the shop and improve your account which K-scope does immediately.
So TDLR pick K-Scope.

I will first roll for Arcueid. If i get a black grail, then I will get that. However if I dont and I don't get 1 Volumen, then I will get Volumen because I need 1 for max on that vs 2 for black grail.
Volumen MLB barely makes it better; it only increases damage cut from 200 to 500, and not the invincible number. Definitely get yourself 1 closer to Black Grail MLB instead.

Both get replaced further down the line, but since the grail replacement is a longer fall than the scope replacement, I recommend getting grail

Yeah, no. Because of Oberon's existence and the abnormally high attack of bg, nothing replaces it.

BG doesn't get replaced for max damage ever. There are reasons to use like event CE for drops or whatever, but for challenges or for impossibly high hp bars, it's still BG always. Kscope can be replicated in so many ways now with so much free charge that it's not that remarkable now.

Black grail is eventually pulled from the summoning pool if I remember correctly and it’s replaced with a craft essence, called rising mud rain, which is a worse version of black grail that’s why I was saying black grails replacement is a further drop compared to kaleidoscopes replacement, because black grail is frankly put never out done in it’s effectiveness.

I have Black Grail and Kaleidescope both at two copies each so I'm really kind of stumped since I don't know what I'll be able to MLB first I like Scope because it means I won't have to Lore Mana Loading for twenty different Servants to farm as opposed to Grail just giving sn extra 20% damage
Go for black grail, it will be way more useful at mlb.
In most cases you are better off using the 50% charge CEs over kscope anyway.
And mlb kscope can be the difference between farming an 90++ node or node.
Looks at LMT Broken Black Grail, so ...... K scope it is.
Black Grail > Kaleidoscope (better choice for new/lacking players) > Prisma Cosmos > 3 card mod ce's > Volumen Hydragyrum (value increases if hard survival is lacking)

Wizard Marshall is HP scaling, KScope is Atk scaling. Same starting gauge, but a bump in damage.
A first KScope might be more useful than a second BG in your specific case.

If you are rolling FINISH ROLLING THEN CHOOSE. If you aren’t and you don’t have either prob choose black grail.

With all the charge CEs we get, 20% starting charge from append 2 and aoe charge buffs like castoria's 30% charge, it is practically pointless to use Kscope over other options anyway.
Even for CQs I don't really use the Mlb copy I have.

Black Grail is necessary for arts but not for quick and buster so just remember that.
@@hungerxhunger2548 you don't need an mlb black grail, 60% np damage is still 60% np damage. my point is that there are many really good ce's that grant starting charge AND do something else, kscope has gone down in value over time while black grail has gone up, kscope will be more useful in the short term but grail will be far more useful for the long term success of an account

With free 50% charge ces almost every event, sups like castoria with aoe 30% charge and append 2 giving 20% starting charge Kscope is pointless.

Black grail seems overrated to me. For normal farming, it definitely isn't needed (up to 90+. I can 3T those with 50% np gauge CEs). As for 90++, I have no idea. I have koyan and oberon so I imagine I could manage without it. It seems like a CE for arts loopers in particular, but I typically use buster for farming anyways. Scope opens up a lot of different setups. More so on supports so I'm definitely inclined to get it, but I'll wait until after my anni summons. Maybe I'll get one or the other by chance

I have three of them both, but I'm still picking the BG.
Kscopes just feel redundant at this point. Between highly leveled 50% CEs with extra effects, top of the line support servants with targeted 50% charge AND new servants packing 30-50% on their kits, who even needs a KScope.
Honestly, the only cases where you'd benefit from it is if you're very new and lack good supports/event CEs or if you're trying to force a servant to loop when they're not really meant to.
Barghest and Altria Lily along with any 10% battery servant
Double Oberon exists
