I used to think this was one song and I was like "Wilbur wtf did you make a 13 minute long song" but then I realized it was an album

It was only when I started seeing the songs separately on my recommended specifically maybe I was boring that it started to dawn on me. Although I did initially think it was an abridged version so I didn't click.

I have story about “it’s all futile it’s all pointless” when i was 11 (I’m 13 now) i found a video with all Wilbur soot songs, released and unreleased. I was listening to that video at about 2 in the morning when “it’s all futile it’s all pointless” came on. The original. Not the LoveJoy one. And i absolutely loved it. I constantly listened to that video almost every night. One day i went to listen to that video again, and it wasn’t there. I think it got deleted. The LoveJoy released the new version, and i found this video, my love for the song and the memories have just come flooding back to me. Thanks you soooooo much! :)

i relate to this song very hard.
Even tho these songs arent that well known, i think they are some of my all time favourites that wilbur as made until now. Especially Maybe i was boring, i used to listen just to that song not realizing it was a whole album pfft

Vent 10.7.23:
Back in 2020 when I was really into wilburys music this is my least favorite ep. Now I can't even imagine not listening to it cuz it has such a grip on me. The way he expresses himself and what he makes me feel while listening to the album is something that I can't give up. I'm not doing well right now and I'm probably not going to be doing well for a while and this album along with your city gave me asthma is the only sort of comfort I have and I could sing each song of those to two albums word-for-word knowing every word. I know that the day that I start forgetting some of the lyrics it's a day that I am officially started healing. Hey I'm saying that cuz I saw a video of a live performances earlier and he was performing Italian solution he's forgetting some of the words and I'm happy for him cuz he started moving on from that time period in his life and I could only wish that I could do the same thing. Till then I'll just see can make comfort and hopefully get better.

i think he was going through a tough time when he wrote these songs and deleted them to try and forget about it.

i think it was because he was in a bad mental place when he wrote the songs, and because he thinks they were bad (hes said the last part def idk bout the other one XD )

Wilbur previously said he was gonna rerecord the EP to put on Spotify and other music streaming services, but it looks like it's not going to end up happening. An updated version of It's All Futile! It's All Pointless! is going to be on the new Lovejoy EP that's releasing in roughly a week tho
