Sorry I am no longer a Redsea fan. I tried reaching out to red sea and that was a joke. For the whole foods pricing I do not get the whole foods customer service which is not cool. When I go to walmart I know my expectations. If you want people to have confidence in spending what other familes around the world only wish they had in food and shelter alone, than the company should do a better job being in communication with their customers. Bulk Reef Supply is the new standard for customer service that is the reason it went from an apartment to over 60,000,000 in annual sales. The service is the best in the industry. Red Sea did not get that memo and for this I can't give more money to companies that wont treat me like a real person.
I contacted them about my 4 year old 170. Even though I was out of warranty they offered me almost $500 towards a new system, and they would cover shipping. I’m not a big fan of their products any longer, but their customer service is readily available. Again I was out of warranty and they offered me a new system at “cost”. Though I do not want another Red Sea, I cannot fault them in customer service.
I just like to know when I spend a lot I get to talk to a real person on the phone when I call during normal business hours. I don’t want to fill out a form or whatever. I guess bulk reef supply made us all spoiled by their customer service. But if any other company wants to succeed and stay ahead they should follow the BRS way.
Yeah for the previous version. A lot of the updates to the G2 are to are to address those issues. Let's give it some time to see how they hold up since they haven't been out that long
My experiences with red sea are very bad, and that was before the actual purchase. they definitely don't fulfill what they promise and agreements mean nothing to them
we had a gen 1..... was the biggest piece of junk with a terrible sump lay out, awful ATO that came with a tiny little RO reservoir and bowing glass.... never again will I purchase one of these again. so many better options now including glass cages
Is the seam going to break? I’m surprised that I have not seen explanation of all the broken RedSea by anyone reputable. It’s definitely a huge concern for anyone in the hobby
I wouldn't hold your breath for anyone of note to say anything. It is cheaper to pay people to push the tanks than it is to fix the issues. I like the looks of them, but the price you pay for the tank plus add ons, it better hold for the next 20 years lol
It's been 2 weeks now I been trying to buy the extended warranty after the tank arrived and Red Sea has yet to call me. They keep telling me they are busy.
I don’t think I’d ever get a red sea with all the cases of the split seams and leaks. Doesn’t seem worth the risk. Just go waterbox or innovative marine imo
every componay that mass manufactures statistically has the same amount of failures red see just been doing it longer so the have a longer record with "more failures" but if you realized water box has only beenopen sense 2018 they have had a long enough time for aquariums to fail or even get close the 25 years worth experience redsea has. they aren't better tanks they just arnt old enough to have any kind of track recorded. no one has a 8 year old waterbox so how can you say it will last.
brand new, green guy here. considering the hobby. Ive been invested in RC cars and DJI drones for decades so price entry to a hobby isnt a scary thing for me. I see this 1600 entry level glass tank ina cheap cabinet (ikea anyone) and im thinking wtf. Step one... i missed, getting the drugs yall on. then read comments and this company sells trash and its being pushed by the channel ive spent most of my research on. guys. C'mon!
The perfect way to leak water all over your nice floors - Red Sea aquariums. Really shows how much of a sell out BRS is for continuing to sell and promote such a trash brand. Wonder how much kickback they got from Red Sea for this video.
I ordered an aquarium from Red Sea at the beginning of February, already 3 new delivery dates, the beginning of April says Red Sea and the shops say the end of April, really reliable, I wouldn't call this company
Ahhh another RedSea “innovation”. AKA trying to address everything wrong with the previous innovations. And as usual while they made some progress they still miss a bunch. First, stop with the cheap plastic and garbage valves. Start using quality PVC and there are several PVC valve manufacturers that have proven (maintainable) valves. Add some quality PVC unions to the pipes and your good to go. Next, you overflows are more cheap plastic. Oh same point as the first I guess. For the big boy club, eurobrace the entire tank not just the 3 sides. If the front can bow so can the back. Also no one wants the salt creep over the back. Have better lighting options. The ResSea lights are nice lights but SPS guys want more PAR. $12k for the big tank should come with enough PAR. Your clean look design invites any water from maintenance to dribble into the stand gaps. Did I say less cheap plastic?
Oh I forgot. The ATO sucks. No reason for it to be a glass tank and gravity fed. There are many ways to build a safe ATO reservoir with a RO connection. The stands are too short. No one wants to bend over to look at the aquarium. Taller stands make more room for filtration and a better ATO.

There is a continuing high frequency of Red Sea seam failures being tracked on R2R if anyone is interested.

@@BrianZandy what did they call the previous version? was it all the tanks or just the larger ones (80 gallons and up)?
@@xisotopexsame names without the G2/G2 Plus added to it. And yeah it was larger tanks like 90 gallon and up that had reported issues.

I think the thicker glass is a major improvement, more silicone to bond to. I'm still gonna wait and read reviews before I'd buy one.

Just go Waterbox - Red Sea is a joke
@DJ Mike Fury waterbox or cade tanks is my go-to for rimless. Any more, I prefer a euro braced or good old-fashioned trimmed tanks lol
@@sovereignviper90 lol Waterbox offers eurobraces on the larger tanks…they also do complete custom now as well

The G2 is my current dream tank to upgrade to
I currently have the reefer 350 G2 and I’m afraid to fill it 😢 never used or filled and new but bought from original owner.
will this break after three years like the rest of the red sea tanks.
Nice! Waterbox pushing Red Sea to step it up. I can't wait for Waterbox's response!🐟
Does the difference in warranty make a difference? I would really rather buy something not from China
If you want a flood in your house this is the one for you!
Just happened to me!
😂
Explain!
Did you file a warranty claim?
I’m too afraid it’ll leak.
are they known for leaks?
@@e.k874yes, they are
Another 9,000.00 tank for Bulk reef Supply 🤣

@michaelkronmann1747 we aren't talking about 8 yr old tanks though. Most of these failures are from Red Sea tanks 2-3 years old.
Thumbs-up for Thomas and the rest of the brstv staff.. ref sea aquariums no thanks.
Don't bother the seals will fail in a few years .
