  • Southwest North Dakota was calling and we found The Best of Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medora, and the Dickinson Museum. We'd never really understood the pull that this area had on people until we visited. From the beauty of the badlands to the bison, to the North Dakota history, and of course the Medora Musical...this area of America speaks to the soul.

Medora, ND and Theodore Roosevelt National Park are beautiful and our time there was more than we could have hoped for. This is an area we will DEFINITELY come back too.

It is so cool. They’re such massive creatures and it’s hard to believe they were nearly wiped out in the 1800’s. We’re very fortunate to have the opportunity to see them.

Just found your channel and had to subscribe after seeing the nice job you did with this video! I really appreciate that you actually visited the Elkhorn Ranch Unit! After watching a LOT of UA-cam videos, I have to say, your video is one of the only ones to feature an actual visit to that area (and some don't even acknowledge that there is the third unit!). It looks like you haven't posted in a while, so I hope you are just on a break and will be posting again! In the meantime, I will be watching the other videos you do have available! Thanks so much for sharing your adventures!

Thank you for watching. We loved that National Park and couldn’t go there without making the trek up to the Elkhorn unit.
Life changes and new chapters started for us last May and we really stopped posting at that point. We bought a house in Maine and settled down. There will be updates here and there and one day when we start traveling again we’ll put out new videos.

Now I really want to visit Theodore Roosevelt National Park. It's been on my list, but now I want to drop everything and go. Thank you for sharing. Peace and Safe Travels. P.S. I started watching your journey from the beginning yesterday.

It is one of Chris’ favorite National Parks. There’s something about it!
Wow, you’re binge watching?! That’s so awesome. It’ll be interesting to hear what your thoughts are on how our videos have changed (improves or gone backwards). - Chris & Suzannah

That part of the country sure does have its charm. We have the dinosaur museum marked as "want to go" on our map

That’s great. It’s a good quick stop. Get out, stretch the legs for a few hours.

Thanks. You guys are originally from MT right? If so, what is your favorite part?

      @@HintonTheTrail Oh man...that's a hard question.
We were fortunate to live in the northwest part so all mountains and no prairies like ND. and east MT. We were so close to Glacier Park, Flathead Lake, Kalispell & Bigfork. Once you get northwest of Missoula and drive through the National Bison Range near St. Ignatius and with the Mission Mountains as a backdrop..... dear lord.... you can't go wrong with any of it. I road tripped through it 2 years ago and it brought tears to my eyes I miss it so much some times.
Also The Libby dam, Kootenai Falls, and the swinging bridge if you go through libby. Joe and I were born in Libby.

I’m originally from Spokane and spent a lot of time in Idaho and have been to Western Montana a few times and we just spent a few days around the NBR, St. Ignaruous and Flathead lake. Beautiful area!
Glacier is on our plans for next summer as well.
