It's so sad to see this happening. I used to live in dawlish when I was young and never expected for all of this to happen. But glad it's being sorted. Thanks for the video.
Thank you Neil for this amazing video! Well done BAM! The minutely detailed plan is unfolding before our very eyes. I am astonished by how much work has been completed in so short a time.
It will be great for disabled users to have lift access across the footbridge! ( I expect it takes a bit of courage to have to wheel your way across that railway track as it is at the moment!!) Well done Chaps and Beach Cam man for bringing it to us 👍
A member of platform staff used to accompany/push wheelchair users just to ensure they got across safely. Many years ago they needed assistance up the portable ramp into the baggage van as carriages were not designed for w/chair access.
It is just mind boggling how much they are getting done in a weekend. I see the rock shelter is lit up as well. Thanks for the updates Neil, looking forward to Sundays. 👍😊
What a fascinating project I am loving being able to watch the progress through your excellent updates. The impact on the local residents during the 24 hour operations must be must be a very contentious issue.
Hi Neil can you ask Jack if the staion colour will go GWR green as that Cadbury colour is an eyesore. Love these videos please keep up your important work Neil. 👍
Yes you have to wonder what goes through peoples minds when painting some public buildings. Do they have an excess of paint or was it heavily discounted.
@@andyrob3259 What happened to railway stations years ago they were the pride of the country now jazzed up in orange and grey. Purple and white. There was nothing wrong with the brown and cream. White and green. Blue and white. So much better. I despair with the so called modern image. Cadbury purple is for chocolate
Are they going to do any repairs to the footbridge. Looking very ropey. Has been for a few years. Wonder what Brunel would think if he saw you tearing his railway to pieces. We understand it needs doing, but I'm curious to know what he would say.
They need all workers on the station as over the weekend so they can complete it in time for the trains to run again on Monday morning. They will be back on the wall on Monday.
No shiny zone here.....just honest to goodness 24 hour toil by the salt of the Earth.........shiny?...a person who sits so long on an office chair, screen watching, that their 'seats' get all shiny.
Wow and WOW again. Very impressive and complex Thank you, Neil for showing us with this excellent video
My pleasure!
Said this once before , the knowledge of Jack is amazing.. well done to all..

I’m currently waiting on a Rail Replacement bus in Teignmouth, perfect time to watch this I think 🤔

There is a new footbridge with lift being installed at the end of the year.
Where do all the men live whilst working on the project?
A lot of them are staying at B&B's etc.
👍
Really! hands in pockets ?
You should of finished the wall so the railway can be out longer for people who needs it, or have you all finished the sea wall?
its just the bit where the station area is now

@@CoastCams247 Oh, thank you for the information!
@@SionsTrainVideos Oh, okay
I wouldn't have thought dawlish warranted such long platforms.
Maybe built that length to strengthen sea defence?
Dawlish gets GWR intercity services to London, pretty sure those are often run with 9 or 10 car trains. So long platforms needed.

Cool video. I think that it could be of use to research a service such as Promo`SM!
