Yu-Gi-Oh Go Rush: Episodes 100 & 101 REVIEW
Fun fact: Monster Reborn's original Japanese name is *Resurrection of the Dead* a way more fitting name for the card.
That I'm not sure most of the time when you watch Yu gi oh in English the English names of the cards tend to USE the Japanese names and the Japanese dubs tend use the ENGLISH names of the same cards via the Japanese episodes with English Subs.
*Super Galaxy King Lord of Galactica* might've been the key of sending Yuga home the whole time.
I no longer have to say "I really like Yuamu, but..." Anymore!
Also, first girl lead to duel in the finale of a Season. At this point, Bridge has probably just written a grocery list of ways they can outdo Gallop with the female characters and said "Do them all!!"
It was a relatively low bar, but they've done their best to exceed and raise it.
The really funny thing is that Yudias has neither been to the future, nor got the memory flash from Reborn. So dude has no clue what an Otes even is. So everyone just keeps going Otes this, Otes that. and Yudias is just like "I miss my friends, man."
This whole chain of events must be utterly _nuts_ from his perspective. First Yuga seemingly goes all Benedict Arnold on them talking about the "children of the future" and the vague dangers of Monster Reborn, then Yuhi plays Monster Reborn and all the Ohdos suddenly start clutching their head screaming, then the next thing he knows, Yuamu's suddenly switching sides, too, while talking about "becoming Otes". And he has practically zero context for any of it.
Didn't they find out about Otes? That he's "Yuga's enemy," and he created the Velgaerans?
@@J.BlazerUTS and the twins figured all of that out, Otes has only barely if ever been directly discussed with Yudias. He barely even knows the basics about The Creator, let alone that they're two halves of the same person.
I think Yuga wasn’t worried about the direct consequences of using Monster Reborn, he was scared of what would happen if the rest of the universe learned about its power and tried to seek it. At that point Rush Duels would cease being a game, it would just be a tool of war, just like what Zwijo tried to do in season 1.
I'm pretty sure he explained that if they played that card, the adult's would learn about and would go, "hey I wanna play too." Which sounds redundant with how widely popular it is even with aliens across the universe.
I think there is a lot of ideas of stuff in these episodes, yuamu doesn't want Yuga to destroy the system, she stills care for yudias and the velgearians, she is doing this for yuga but she isn't 100% on board with it.
And that yuga is represented with stranyge cat, yuamu as sevens road witch, and yuhi as sevens road magician as he also summons sevens road magician. it's such a great episode
It seems to me that Yuamu doesn't necessarily fully understand and agree with Yuga's ideology, so much as she's responding to his resolve, and how much he's willing to sacrifice/has already sacrificed for it. He's all alone, he's willing to give up everything and become everyone's most hated enemy for this. And she can't accept that. He deserves better. So...she's going to be on his side, if no one else is. She'll take his place, destroy Monster Reborn, and be the villain so he doesn't have to.

This is my theory.
Season 1: Yudias-centric.
Season 2: Yuhi-centric.
Season 3: Yuamu-centric.
In a way, they'll all get their chance to be the main character.

It seems that you are right.
It has been so long ever since we got an actual battle that is not a duel. Yuga attempting to blast off the Rush Duel Robot, but it activating its defense mechanism and snacking down the spaceship and knocking out Yuga? We never saw him so hurt like this in Sevens.
Those Ohdo's sure are one weird family, but of them all, the one who stands out the most is Yuhi. Of all the Ohdo's he's the only one who's fighting on the side of the velgearian and he's the only one who doesn't get Yuga and Yuamu, the ones whos shares his blood. I just love the fact that those 3 are ancestors and descendants yet Yuhi is the only one who's not on their side. I get that he thinks about Yudias feelings and the velgearians but he really doesn't get Yuga. By the end of this show, I'm sure Yudias will die because he'll undestand Yuga and Yuamu's feelings to protect the child of the future and Yuhi will be his main obstacle
Otes being a title rather than an individual would make a lot of sense. He's sort of Ohdo but twisted.

Joking aside, now you could argue that Yuamu does appear in GO RUSH's Season 3 Poster, but not in the way one would expect (also, I am increasingly convinced that the other antagonists are Velgearian, but not our Velgearian friends: but rather copies or duplicates of themselves)
Man, both of those episodes are incredible. That's crazy
I really like that Monster Reborn has been expanded from erasing memories to affecting memories in general. They've made the card even MORE powerful and dangerous in this show.
It always could affect memories in multiple ways. That's how they were able to unseal Goha Yuga from Swirly.

On top of Episode 62 foreshadowing Yuamu's sympathy towards Yuga, the ending song had also long foreshadowed it. Where was Yudias headed? In the same direction as Yuhi and the others did. But Yuga? In the opposite direction, with Yuamu following him.
We do have Zwijo, Dinois, and Myuda going in the opposite direction too but that would just have been because they in a way tried preventing Monster Reborn from being made.
The past two episodes before this duel also built up Yuamu in a subtle way. Her reaction to the Zwijo duel and the focus her emotions got in the amusement park episode.
"You cant. It's too late" I like how Yuhi pulls the uno reverse card on Yuama
While seeing Yudias versus Yuga would be cool, I think having Yuhi start out the duel makes Yuamu's decision to take Yuga's place and directly oppose her twin in the duel more impactful.
I have a feeling that this last duel of the season might end up being similar to the final duel between Yuga and Otes with one or both of them being sucked into the space time continuum. In the case of Yuamu, it's possbile that an Earthdamar was created and seperated from her; which in turn would end up becoming the purple alien seen in the season 3 poster with the other Velgearians being her creations in a matter similar to Otes and his Earthdamar known as the Creator who created Yudias and the other Velgearians and a situation similar to the creation of the avatars of Blaze and Roxy from Power Rangers Beast Morphers where they're minds get trapped inside their evil twin's bodies.
I’m still confident that Yuga becomes Otes regardless of the implications of that moment during the duel. There have been too many Easter Eggs leading to this like Yuga’s Ladybug program, his spacesuit colour scheme etc. Yuamu being Otes is highly unlikely. I like the signs that are there but they seem to be more of a stretch honestly.
As much as I have enjoyed Yuamu’s turnaround, I want Yuga to switch with Yuamu in episode 102 so he can finish the duel. I would’ve preferred if there was more build up to Yuamu siding with Yuga - perhaps the conversation with Yuna should’ve happened in an earlier episode.
Having been sidelined for so long, I dislike Yuga being sidelined for this duel. If we aren’t going to get a proper Yudias vs Yuga duel, I’d like for Yuga to finish the duel whether he wins or loses.
No matter what, I’m siding with Yuga/Yuamu because since episode 62, I really want Yuga to return home. Thought I get the feeling, he won’t return home until the end of the show if not during episode 102. Although, that seems unlikely because there would need to be more build up for Yuga returning home.
What makes Yuga even more tragic is that virtually everybody in Sevens loved him. And to varying degrees he was even idolized particularly by his three friends.
Go Rush has been kicking the poor guy since before the events of the show. He's such a a good character.
@@heavydonkeykong5190I know, Yuhi in particularly. This is why I love Yuamu’s turnaround and dislike Yuhi, to a degree. She’s the only one attempting to understand and empathize with him. Whereas Yuhi is just too headstrong on his decisions and not even trying to see where Yuga is coming from.
In episode 62, Yuhi even says, “As his ancestors, what can we do for him?”. I’m so glad Yuamu finally answered that in episode 101, by literally repeating it and showing it.
Yeah I'm siding with Yuga too cause the Sevens group could be erased if they go through with this and I'd rather see the Velgrians who never should have existed vanish while Luke and the others live
And all the dissapointment about Yuamu actually get explained that it started after she go to the future as a cat and knowing about Yuuga's backstory.
After watching the episode, I thought about something. Based on the video Kuidul made, they'd use Monster Reborn to create the Velgerians based on everyone's memories. But if that's the case, they aren't really reviving the Velgerians, but rather, replacing them with realistic clones. I'm not sure how okay I am with that method, especially since they had to create the evil Rush Variant of Monster Reborn to make it work. Also, regarding Yuamu, it was interesting to see her immediately realize what Yuga was sacrificing after seeing his memories. Curious where things end up for her & Yuga next episode?
So it already tapped into memories in the past. Hell, we saw Goha Yuga be essentially REVIVED by it vs Yuo. Interesting.
@@samurexatlas7373 Goha Yuga was sealed inside the shell known as Swirly using that card. All they had to do was unseal him again. Something like this is truly unique. Using Monster Reborn to amplify memories to the point they take form? That is a unique concept.
Loved the eps, kinda wary that yuga is being sidelined again but think id rather yuamu get the spotlight since yuga had his time to shine in sevens. Think this is similar to sevens s1 where the end of season duel is completely unpredictable since both outcomes are less than ideal.

I think I have a bit of a dark and twisted mind, but what if we only see Yudias and Yuuhi in the season 3 poster is because the two get sucked in that dimension hole and are lost in a different time or space. Season 3 would then be split between our two boys facing new enemies of that time and Yudias' inpending death, while Yuamu and Yuuga tries to bring them back and deal with the consequences of their action. Could be an interesting scenario, thought probably a bit dark.

Something else interseting with these two is the left-right rule. Orientation changes a few times.
I'm hoping that what I came up with a few weeks ago is actually what's happening, but it looks like it may not be... unless they are purposefully not revealing everything. What I came up with a few weeks ago is that we were shown earlier that the future was not changing despite all the changes that were made in Go Rush... for some odd reason. Aliens do exist in Sevens, but we see no Velgearians- I think that is what keeps the future not changing- Velgearians existence. Velgearians were made for a purpose and were supposed to die off and them continuing to exist is not supposed to happen.
Bring them back in Sevens-era, then.
Sevens fear majicion is so cool
Yuuga is a prime example of digging your own grave and repeating your own mistakes. So much conflict could have been avoided if he had simply talked to the other. He could have told them of the danger. He might have been separated from his timeline, but he chose to isolate himself from the current one. So Yuamu might pity him, but I just can't.
But then as you see, had he told them to not use Monster Reborn early on, they would get to it faster and use it anyway for the sake of the Velgeareans. He's not even sure what would exactly happen if they used that, and he's not sure how to convince them that the future matters more. (Yuhi actually saw the future but still dismissed Yuga's objective.)
Besides, maybe he's isolating himself on purpose because he didn't want to mess with the timeline any further beyond being forced to create Rush Duels.
@@jehmarxx I see your point and I agree to a degree. But I don't think Yudias and the others would disregard a warning from Yuuga. So far, he was their ally and while Yuuhi did decide to push throught, it was only after Yuuga declare himself an enemy. If he had come to them in a civil matter, things could have been different. As for changing the future, I don't think seeking connection and friendship would have that much of an impact.
To me, Yuuga's willingness to take all the burdens is both his strength and weakness. It's makes him brave and driven, but also blind to other possibilities. His success and failures ends up both rather extremes. Of course, that's just my opinion.
(Partially) in Yuga's defense, that's not exactly a recent personality change, he's _always_ struggled with this, all the way since back in Sevens. He doesn't explain himself, he tries to do everything on his own, and it pretty much always works out because he's _just that smart._ The one time it failed was the Goha Yuga arc, and that was more from the sheer amount of physical and mental stress he'd accumulated over the last few days vs actually being incapable, seeing as how even then, after witnessing a single duel, he managed to perfectly construct _several_ counterstrategies that would have allowed him to defeat Goha Yuga had his body not utterly collapsed. In fact, his strategy _did_ allow Luke to defeat Goha Yuga. Yuga's never talked to people or asked for help, because why would he? _Nobody_ on the hero side has shown an ability to understand and control a situation on the level of Yuga in _either_ show. Zwijo and Phaser relied more on resources and cards only they had access to in order to put a finger to the scales, and last arc, despite starting out late Yuga managed to _instantly_ figure out Kuaidul's true goal the moment he had remotely enough context to do so.
Beyond that, Yuga's perspective in it's totality is simply one that he feels most people wouldn't really understand, even if he did explain it. Even Yuga's friends back in Sevens have an understanding of him that is...limited. The closest one to really understanding him, I feel, was Nail, and even then they were somewhat opposites, mirror images. And as for the possibility of warning them, I feel that even if he did, Yudias, Yuhi and the others would still decide to do so despite the risks. They wouldn't _ignore_ him, but as with this episode, even in a more neutral environment I just don't see them actually understanding his philosophy and feeling the danger is too great, _especially_ if they didn't see his memories like in this episode. They simply would lack the personal experience to even _partially_ grasp what he means when he speaks of the danger that card represents.
Yuga doesn't necessarily reject companionship _per se,_ he's actively gone out of his way several times to be amiable to everyone, willingly traveled with The Luge and co on their journey, and went out of his way to give Yudias his duel disk and cards just for kindness' sake. Yuga simply sees personal relationships as something that comes secondary to doing what he feels he has to, and that applied even in Sevens. He's been staying away from everyone in Go Rush not necessarily because he doesn't want to be friendly with them, but because he simply feels there's more important things he has to do, and he's the only one who can do them. And honestly? Up until now, they haven't necessarily done a lot to prove him wrong. They couldn't have beaten the Luge without him creating new Fusion cards for them, they couldn't have beaten Phaser without what he left behind before being cheapshotted, and they flat-out got utterly bamboozled by Kuaidul, needing Yuga's hints to even _begin_ realizing the true nature of Kuaidul's plan (which they still failed to realize until it was on the brink of succeeding).
The arc has really taken a shocking turn. It's episodes like this that remind me to never doubt Takeuchi.

If you were I would add the Shadow monsters from 5Ds, the ones which killed Crow's friend and were used by Team Catastrophe, and Shadow cards from Go Rush which possessed those who used them. I'm sure Yu-gi-oh mangas have even more to offer.

I actually wonder if they'll do Go Rush in Duel Links this year or put in a filler (Spirit?) world instead. Since Go Rush season 3 will still be ongoing by September, so it might be awkward to record lines for Yudias' super duper final ace (or most season 3 cards) for example.
I loved the episode as much as you did. The suspense the music was good in this episode.

Now theres a lot of support for the theory that the shadowed villain in the next season poster is Yuamu, she may be the one to lose and have her memory wiped or eefed with.
I am very concerned about Yuamu, despite the lack of screentime compared to her and Yuhi & Yudias, and the poster of her absence of Season 3 is concerning, she is still one of my favourite characters and design
I really hope its just for the plot, and not like Carly's case in 5D's, that one case with her VA

Same here. She's one of my favorite designs in the franchise, honestly, and she was great for the first five arcs. Really hope this finale is a good sign for her because it's her best moment easily.

Thats pretty wild, Dylan! That shot of Yuhi and Yuamu at 8:26 when they start seeing the visuals was very Gallop-esk! And to top it off, Yuamu isn't just back to form in this episode, they turned it up to 11 in this episode! I'm really curious to see what side of the twins Yuga is from, because I originally thought it was Yuhi's side (because they look pretty similar), but now, just by watching this, I'm starting to lean more towards being from Yuamu's side, that'll be an interesting to see, especially with her saying she will become Otes. Also, the title of the next episode says alot, "There Are No Winners In Space", because just by what they're showing, this is one duel where there are really no winners regardless of what happens at the duel's conclusion.

Definitely one of the most wild and hype Go Rush episodes yet. Was it just me or was Kuidual's "memory/resurrection" explanation strikingly similar to Duel Links' memory reconstruction system?
Also I think Yudias will win, enabling the classic yugioh revival of all the deceased characters - but also setting up Yuga's path to becoming Otes in the future as well as possibly explaining Yuamu's absence from the S3 poster. I found it quite interesting that Monster Reborn only seemed to affect the Ohdos. We can see Yudias and Epo are unaffected despite standing next to Yuamu. Speaking of, I wonder if Earthdamars are just an Ohdo thing - Yuhi has one, if Otes is Yuga then he has one, and we could maybe see Yuamu's in S3 as one of the alien characters or something.
I also wonder if this arc was originally planned to be the Go Rush finale (since Sevens was two seasons long). There are a lot of "send-off" type duels, like with Rovian's. And a Yudias vs Yuga match would be very fitting as a ceremonial duel. They might've changed the story to extend it further into season 3, and maybe we'll get the Yudias vs Yuga matchup at the very end of the show - and them almost dueling this episode makes me think at least Studio Bridge is aware of the want for it. It'd be a waste not to happen, especially in a show with as many ties to Sevens as it does.
I still think Yuga will become Otes, the hints have lined up and been teased for way too long (for basically two years now since the finale of Sevens). To subvert it now would kinda deflate that buildup that they themselves have been very direct about. Although for that path to actually happen, we'd technically need to see what happens after the finale of Sevens since he's still a kid there while Otes is an adult - so maybe season 3 will get into that? There's a tear in the space time anyhow so maybe we can get the answer to that sooner than expected.
Also I'm 99% sure that Go Rush is a branched Sevens timeline that was created when Yuga creates Rush Duels in the past. There are way too many changes to the timeline for it to still be the same stream.

Here's a theory. Maybe Yuamu is a shap shifter. Like shes a power alien that can change forms and its voice.
So I’m not sure if Monster reborn being brought back is such a good idea because of what happened last time with Yuga Goha and the ptsd nightmare that was but this might be the only way. But Yuga doing what Otes was doing I did not see that coming.
What if these a time loop going on right now that why yuga decide to stop reving of and not going back to seven world that why we know in seven world didnt change that much after yuga def otes in 2 year time skip
how about otes is from ohdo family but from future instead and in future duel kinda mess up so he back in sevens timeline to fix it but with help yuga and then he see yuga invention about rush duel kinda mess up as well cuz yuga made a hole on his rush duel system for whatever rule people want ramen duel or sushi duel,and made so many random invetion people on the moon kinda overload imo,so he try to destroy everything cuz that but yuga and his friend try prevent it but made yuga and otes send to the past as well and now yuga made same mistake and know what otes feel about his invetion so he try destroy rush robot as well but failed.

ngl these episodes were frustrating to watch because Yuga is such a poor communicator. SEVENS was years ago. I can't be expected to remember these stuff
At least his characterization's consistent. Yuga's _always_ been absolutely terrible at communicating, he was just so smart that he usually could handle it anyway. That really only failed during the Goha Yuga arc, where he put so much on himself that combined with the damage from his duels with Tiger and Goha Yuga, his body just gave out. Yuga's never been the type to explain himself, he always does everything on his own and it pretty much always works out. Yuamu actually shows a lot of similar traits to him, really. Besides, you can always rewatch Sevens if you're struggling to remember specific plot points, or just ask someone for a refresher.
Yuga is an ENTP (if you know MBTI). You won't deny his intelligence is beyond par of everyone else. He's a pretty fun guy to hang out with, too. It's just that he doesn't feel like making sure everyone understands him. Guaranteed, not every person will like ENTPs, just like you, Yuhi, and most others in the show. It's actually pretty funny to see that dynamic when you know an ENTP in real life.
YUHI IS OTES
So people have honestly done that no doubt In my mind that people have just all of a sudden change their minds on things,
When it comes to dual monsters and wanting to destroy them that’s a whole Other Thing to me you know I’m really don’t think that somebody would just all of a sudden change their minds and want to destroy a card game that somebody in that multiple people would love to play
Like even if they do get disqualified people don’t want to destroy that particular game I’ve never seen that and I never heard of that before in my life, Like people go to all these tournaments and they play across tables from people that would beat them and then probably make fun of them when they lose

Best bet would be Yugioh 9 when it gets announced at Jump Festa. But Rush yugioh is honestly really fun, it gets insane with its plot and absurdity.
In fact, if you look closely at Season 2, there are many hints that they were telling you that Yuamu has a connection with Otes.
- In addition to Blue-Eyes White Dragon, Otes also used Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Yuamu has a Boss Monster that is similar to Red-Eyes Black Dragon: Red Boot Boost Dragon.
- Yuamu is the only one who feels compassion or understands Yuga and his plans: something that only Otes seemed to understand Yuga since That Man was always at the same pace as Yuga.
- The first presence of Darkness Cards in GO RUSH began when Yuamu mentioned Otes's name in front of The Relic, where she ended up possessed by The Relic (not Darkness Card)
- Yuamu using Sevens Road Deck is similar to how Otes used Sevens Road/Darkness Deck in SEVENS.
In any case, Luke will surely beat up Yuga when he finds out that, once again, a Dragon Duelist has to come to his aid and take his Deck to Duel.
What throws me off a bit is that, thanks to the duel between Yugi and Shewbaha (I haven’t typed his name before, so I probably got it wrong), we know that the Dragon deck belonged to Yuhi previously. But I do agree with all of your other points.
@@ellishughes3050That's a good point about the decks. I do think the teases about Yuga becoming Otes are much stronger, the Yuamu ones feel a bit reaching in comparison.
@@voidwalker3591 I mean, the idea that Yuga would become Otes is still maintained: Yuga himself mentions it in Episode 100 (where he decides to make the decision to become Otes if he requires it)
The only thing that changes here is that another person wants to take Yuga's place to become Otes: in this case, Yuamu.
Therefore, Yuga was destined to be Otes, but that destiny has changed now (still SEVENS's Otes can be a Future Yuga or an alternative Yuga. The thing is, someone has to be Otes, whatever it may be)
