Friends and co-workers this week have been tearing me down because of my positivity during this crazy time. My advice to everyone is that people act based off of what they know, and their negativity is based in fear, ignorance and jealously, especially when they see you choosing the silver linings during dark days. Keep posting videos and doing what you love, I know I appreciate it :) thank you!

This quarantine had given me the opportunity to stop and appreciate the little things we normally take for granted. That we have food to eat, we have a home to do self quarantine, that we have a comfortable bed. We have to count our blessings and always, always be grateful we have another day to live.💕

@justacekarina today I’ve seen people committing acts of kindness, Italy’s citizens dancing on their balconies to have a moment of peace, Spain citizens on their balconies clapping in unison to show appreciate for healthcare professionals, CEO’s forgoing salary to take care of their employees, & most dear to my heart my family was healthy/safe through another day. Wherever there is bad, there is also good. I hope we can all appreciate the small things! Thank you Allana for all the content you create and always being a kind soul! Also, a huge congrats on being included on the dyson launch. That’s amazing!

Not entering but just wanted to add that having gratitude helps with the intense roller coaster of emotions that is surrounding us.
Today I am grateful for having a roof over my head, loved ones to talk to and food in my belly. We are incredibly privileged/blessed to have outlets such as youtube (thank you for being part of the entertainment!) and TV and many other things to distract us.
Mother Earth has put everyone in a “time out” and, thus, pollution has decreased and people are reconnecting with their families. @stromgirly

Thank you for being honest with us about your feelings on everything that's going on. All I can think about everything going on with COVID-19 is, "this too shall pass". I feel so grateful for my health and the health of my friends and family. It's an excellent reminder not to take anything for granted, and it really puts things in perspective. I would still love to see the vlog footage from the Dyson trip one day, when you're feeling up for posting it!

Well your video definitely made me wanna buy that straightener! its soooo cute! I think the negativity was related to the price, but it takes a lot of research to make something that revolutionary. Once Im a medical resident (FOR WHICH I JUST FREAKING MATCHED TODAY! My life is finally coming together) Im definitely buying the dyson straightner. I think not burning your hair with excessive heat is essential for healthy hair. I use my Chi occassionally and mostly try to air dry hair to avoid damage. But I dont think you should feel bad about your video. Love ya Allana

I always look forward to your videos! I recently stumbled onto the phrase "no feeling is final" and I tell myself that all the time when I'm overwhelmed or just having a day. It's a good reminder that bad things will always pass eventually - and on the flip side, good things don't last forever either so don't take those for granted.

Also, I feel for you. A quick scroll through the comments on the Dyson video shows that everyone wants a different thing: more information, less talking, it's too expensive........... You clearly invested time and effort in the production of the video and I can imagine it's SO shitty to see all those negative comments getting so many thumbs up. I hope we still get to see the styling video because even though I don't have the $$$ to spend on a straightener, I want to learn how to do that S-wave haha.
I heard someone say the other day that social media is the loudest minority. I would say on average I don't comment, like, dissect every video. But what I do do is watch and love your videos. I’m really sorry about the negativity you received on your Dyson video! I haven’t ever owned a Dyson product (there are a little out of my price range at the moment) BUT I know so many people who have and love their products. From what I have seen they are an awesome brand and it IS so exciting that you had that opportunity with them. You deserve to feel that excitement and I’m sorry that may be tainted now. Hi Allana, hope you don’t take this negatively and I’m not here to say something hurtful too but something constructive. I guess that’s what those negative comments were not being - constructive. I just wanted to say that I believe being an tagged as an “influencer” these days have a bigger responsibility than just influencing people’s buying capabilities of anything related to lifestyle but in molding opinions towards other topics as well. Since you yourself is a brand, people will view your content and see if there’s a takeaway they can get to handle this thing that’s currently happening in the world.
