The song was sold by her record label along with other songs she'd written that they had been sitting on and refused to release. It was not sold by Raye. Fair play and respect to Lisa for bring Raye in on it.
Please don't sleep on Raye. She is a force. Just discovered her music last year. Beautiful songwriting & exquisite vocals = a legend in the making.
The chorus is exactly the same as Raye's og demo from 2021. The verse lyrics are slightly different and Doja and Raye's rap verses are new.

What makes this all the more goated here. Is this is RAYE's demo song which her former label rejected. It was then looking like would never see the light of day. Then LISA got wind of it after the track leaded.
Purchased the rights and then as an though to rub it in RAYE firmer labels face. Asked RAYE if would like to collaborate on her old rejected song.
Of coarse she would say yes, and then to sweaten the deal. Lisa brings on her idol Doja Cat to make this a modern day Lady Marmalade. Was a stroke of genius here.
What a breakout role just before LISA's album drops leading into her Coachella appearance in April along with Jennie seems like destiny for both of them. Couldn't have asked for a better set of circumstances here. This will make a great remix!! 🙀💕

This was an absolute masterpiece! Thank you for your reaction and breakdown, you caught a lot of stuff that others didn't. Only things I think you missed is at 5:48 Doja is depicting a witch from the Salem trials. That's why there's a circle of chairs (she's being judged) and then tied to the pole with a ring of fire around her (burned at the stake). Also the white outfits they all wear at the end depict Joan of Arc.

There’s a lot of symbolism here but for me really conveys three strong women rising from the hate and negativity to be BORN AGAIN to be stronger and more powerful. Beautiful song, MV and visuals. I love that Lisa’s vocals are more featured and showing her range especially the high notes in the beginning/chorus and at the end with the high to low notes. They are Queens! The best collab! Raye sold the original song to Lisa [LLoud ] Lisa's own company because of what happened in 2021 that the label wouldn't release it, so Lisa bought it from her and had wording changed and doja added hers own writing in it also. And Lisa had Raye on the song and got Doja as well, as she wanted to clab with her from long time ago, plus they both work with RCA Records for their songs to be released. great song for all of them, I am very proud of Lisa what she has done for other singers over the years, very nice person to know in her field just a shame that she gets all of the hate from some quarters, but some say because when you become famous and are known all over the world you should put up with the negative, well I don't think so. I am also so glad that Raye was able to sing with Lisa and Doja because she is so fantastic love her, I am also from the UK as well so know of Raye.

This was Raye's song that her original record label refused to let her sing. Lisa's producer heard the track and told Lisa the story so Lisa bought it and invited RAYE to sing on it. How Doja was pulled in I don't know those details but my god this is one of the best collaborations I have heard in a long time. This is GIRL POWER times THREE. Lisa is constantly been dragged and hated on the poor woman can't do nothing right. I know she can sing live I've seen BLACKPINK live 6 times.

Is Lisa “going back” to that feel? There's a double reference to RiRi in this video concept. In the MV for Pink Venom, Lisa breaks a pink apple in two, under a stark looking dead tree, while riffing on some lines from Rihanna's first ever single, Pon de Replay, “It goes one by one, even two by two.” In this MV, Lisa is playing with apples under an upside down, fully blooming tree. I guess being reborn is about going back to revive what was good about the past, in order to be better in the future. PS: In Christian symbolism, an upside-down tree can represent the Holy Trinity, Christ's crucifixion, or the soul's journey.
