You don’t have a black dog and a white dog barking at your heels in you. You are the righteousness of God in Christ! You are no longer a sinner by nature, you are a cleansed and justified child of the living God!

If church preached more on RELATIONSHIP with God, people could follow the Spirit and they wouldn't need to be told what they are doing wrong every week. People need step by step instructions on how to have a relationship with God. They need to know how to hear God, how to discern His voice from other voices, how to go Him with their pain, how to ingest the Word, etc.

Circumcision of the heart occurs during water baptism following repentance. During water baptism, and because of the shed blood of Christ, the Holy Spirit circumcises our conscience, removing the guilt from past sins, and restoring it to its original childlike innocence of sin.
This is the " washing of regeneration" spoken of in Titus 3:5. The word " regeneration" defined means to return something to its' original state. Our original state spiritually is that of children innocent of sin.
This is also the new covenants' antitype of the old covenants' cleansing of the temple with water and blood in preparation for it being occupied by the Holy Spirit. The temple now is our bodies.
Circumcision of the heart happens when one believes and is born-again and becomes a new creation. God removes the root of sin, the body of the sins of flesh (Colossians 2) and gives you a new heart, and places His spirit in you. Water baptism is an external representation of being made alive in Christ. It's a time to identify with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. Water baptism is symbolic of a greater eternal truth.
Romans 6
1 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase?
2 May it never be! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
3 Or do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus have been baptized into His death?
4 Therefore we have been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we too might walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness
of His resurrection,
6 knowing this, that our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin;
7 for he who has died is freed from sin.
8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him,
9 knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him.
10 For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all; but the life that He lives, He lives to God.
11 Even so consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.
12 Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its lusts,
13 and do not go on presenting the members of your body to sin as instruments of unrighteousness; but present yourselves to God as those alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
14 For sin shall not be master over you, for you are not under law but under grace.
Ephesians 2
1 And you were dead in your trespasses and sins,
2 in which you formerly walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, of the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience.
3 Among them we too all formerly lived in the lusts of our flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us,
5 even when we were dead in our transgressions, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
6 and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
7 so that in the ages to come He might show the surpassing riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
