"Love your neighbor as yourself" - regardless of your religious beliefs, that is a lesson that too many of us (myself included) have ignored on occasion. I get that there might be people whom you vehemently disagree with (for me, an example would be white supremacists), but you should attempt to connect with them. They might discredit you and turn you away - but that's their problem, not yours.
If you are not a fanatic, you all can become like this two. 😁

I still don't know why this is news to people.
For me, as an atheist, the question of "What is the purpose of life?" is a loaded question that implies universal consensus that life needs a purpose. This makes me find the question dishonest, as it skips a crucial step. I don't think it's a stretch to imagine that a lot of people find life fulfilling without even caring about and obsessing upon what kind of grand impact it has. We just accept the things we cannot change and just roll with the hands we are dealt. Emotional baggage that relies on fearing the unknown is just not necessary.

It's fantastic you are open to explore other people's ideals as well as sharing your own. You find so much more interesting thoughts this way. I do have somewhat an understanding of why occasional conflicts between Atheists and Religious Believers occur and can explain the reasons behind it if you (or anyone) like to read about it below:
First I am more scientific and not really religious, but I am not an Atheist either - I am Agnostic. The main despise between the Atheist and Religious ppl I believe is actually to do with hardcore Activists much the same as those currently in Veganism who are "forcefully" bringing ppl to their way of living simply based on their own idealism. An extent can be seen in history, for example, in relation for Christians, you have Puritans and Sectarianism where ppl do just behave and act by what is taught in religion regardless of any scientific reasoning, and you can see that this can became quite "negative" where acts are only done by what is 'believed'. That's particularly how in your vid, you talked about how ppl think believers gave thanks to God more than the doctors (Believe it or not, I have met ppl who actually does and had been approached several times where I have talked to them to understand more...).
So taking the above, Atheists pretty much lives by Science. Everything is by reason and pretty much mathematical. All theories (which you can refer as their type of beliefs) are based on calculations and proven knowledge. You can see how it negatively affects them when an Activist approaches them to convince them how they should act merely based on their own confidence of beliefs whether logical or not.
Most scientific ppl are also very pompous about their own level of knowledge imo, because what they know are proven facts that will work when they apply it to practices. This gives them confidence that often make them more judgemental to others - Knowledge is Power right? This particularly applies to students and some scientific professionals rather than those who are scientific researchers usually. So with their level of understanding, most have grown tired of influentials who try to talk them with illogical reasoning and hence how the despise and memes started I believe.
To my knowledge, both sides are actually pretty clouded... I have friends of all types - Christians or other religious beliefs, Atheists and other Agnostics - and the convos I occasionally get lacks depth. Atheist does not understand that Christians also acts as an example of creating well-being based on moral stances and occasionally their beliefs gives invisible positivity that are not actually possible if by scientific logic, and that good vibe can be a lift to people who are in need of love and hope.
However, there are also some believers who are too dedicated into their own religion where they become blind of all logic, and that they see other religions as a "sin" or insult. This is what Atheist ppl hates, that they don't understand the difference between fact and idealism.
People should really open and not restrict themselves inside their own circle; allow the freedom so long it doesn't affect others negatively' and probably life would be better... But there you go, that's how the threads were all tangled.

I've always been a non believer even during my Catholic education. I also always had friends believing (or not) all kinds of things or from both sides of the political spectrum. As long as people are honest, coherent and tolerant of different points of view you can have interesting conversations and refine or change your opinions.

Yeah Its like there are so many people who keep preaching to me that 2+2= 4. Its like they are trying to shove it down my throat. Some people believe that 2+2=3 and thats equally valid. Because, you know, we wouldn't want to hurt anyone's feelings.
@@adenjones1802 difference being that 2+2=4 is a fact, with tons of proofs that confirm it. Which religion is true or false is not a fact. Religions are basically based on opinion and circular thinking, without concrete and solid proof ( and no, a book is not a proof).
@@thetwelfthdoctor9892 What's Ironic is that mathematicians have been working hard at this issue and what they have found is that even math relies on circular reasoning. You can't use numbers to prove numbers after all.
Also, while the answer to the question, "which religion is true" is more or less unknown, it is within the relm of fact. It is a fact that any given religion is either true or false.
Finally, my point of the original reply was not to suggest that believing in God and 2+2 is epistemically equivalent, but more to poke fun at this neo-liberal, unaffectionate, milk-toast, middle ground loving, "just shut up and get along" attitude. One of us is right and the other is wrong. This whole "don't shove it down my throat thing is for cowards. I honestly respect atheists who, for lack of a better way of saying it, "evangelize" because it shows they care about peoples worldview other than themselves. It shows they are ideologically driven and aren't apathetic and solipsistic.

So therefore it's the new standard. Sure there's proof but it's mathematics... It's uncertain and there's more ugly details.. Matter of fact, it's entirely possible for it to be wrong. We just go with the most simple medium as so far we haven't been proven wrong. And if we have.. it was hypothetical anyway.
Just like religious texts. You can choose to buy it or you can do your research and say why you didn't. Small issue is, your research is probably based off of another concept of a massively stringed gargle of thoughts that is just as opinion based with even less proof.
Hence why comparing religious texts is more effective.. because there is a standard, a consistent medium.
So, ironically, you presented your opinion as fact based as well.

for the first meme, we’re forgetting that christianity doesn’t change its views based on advances in science while science can change based on what’s observed, so it’s more “christianity: fantasy beliefs from 2,000 years ago when humans weren’t very advanced in their scientific discoveries, doesn’t change, essentially jumping to conclusions without any evidence besides people’s imagination” vs “atheism: theories with evidence behind them that are able to change based on what we learn”
I think you have completely missed the point of Christianity, which is the very device in which glory and prosperity is brought to man. Assuming here that you are from a European / post-colonial society, Christianity lies deep within your foundations. It is rooted in all the righteous aspects of your society, which renders it prosperous. All this to say, to simply dismiss the philosophy, religion, and very backbone of your society - which has lasted for hundreds of generations of civilizations and empires - just because its astrological and environmental observations do not fit your scientific narrative… now that is just laughable. It is pretty miserable to say the least.
Learn about Christianity, even if you are not planning to convert. Learn about it before you judge it from the little knowledge a 60 second tiktok clip criticising Christ showed. Perhaps you could even hold stronger and more educated arguments in opposition to Christians. Maybe then you will finally understand the absolute beauty, and all of the solutions that the truth contains.

Love everyone as in family love, not in a literal romantic sense. Here are 3 examples from the New Testament (Written to the Church aka Christians right now)

Can someone explain to me how a baptism washes away all your sins. It doesn't make complete sense to me how is it fair to say that will like if you murdered someone and then had a baptism how does that wash away that sin or hatred that is a sin after a baptism there's still the possibility that you hate something or someone so how did it wash away that sin
Christianity teaches that we are not saved by "works." Baptism is works. We are not saved by baptism. Its like saying you have to blow the candles out that are on a cake before you can get older on your birthday.

As you can see from my picture, I am a christian too, and I have to admit that I always suspected that you were a christian until I had a confirm in the video where you made a huge gift to your mate from Among Us. If I can ask: are you a catholic christian?
I like you guys. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I kinda feel like this whole channel stemmed from two friends realizing after one stopped believing, that the idea is to understand intent rather than your own interpretation. Or maybe you met each other after. Point being you both realize that regardless of the "ultimate answer" the best thing we can do is treat each other with respect and understanding. And maybe the frustration at how obvious that is and how ignored on both sides it is? Regardless, its always refreshing to see two people of differing beliefs (or even the same beliefs) treating each other equally without thought and effort.

God gave us free will. Heaven and hell are our two options. That’s not narcissistic to me. If you choose not to acknowledge or accept Him, that is on you. It’s a heavy weight to throw on somebody, but I’m grateful it’s there. Life on Earth would have no purpose otherwise.

But there is no evidence in the Bible that Muslims are in Hellfire.
There is evidence in the bible that anyone who does not believe in Jesus as the son of man is Going to "death". It doesn't mention Muslims specifically because they didn't exist at the time. To be honest, I have a special place in my heart for Muslims. You guys would make great Christians. Might I ask the reason why you don't believe in Jesus?

If Christ was the son of a man, then this means that he is not a god, and this is what we Muslims say.
As Muslims you can say that we are more Christians than Christians.
For example in the Bible Jesus says that man should not eat pork and not drink alcohol, most Christians eat pork and drink alcohol but we Muslims do not.
So, yes, you could say that we are great Christians (the true Christianity that Jesus brought and not the current distorted Christianity).
Might I ask the reason why you don't believe in Jesus?:

@@khaledighil9818 At first I used to believe as you do. I used to believe that Jesus was Gods messenger and not God himself. But then I ran into a few problems.
This is what I call the infinite ladder problem:
Let me ask you? How much money should I donate in order to get into heaven? $10? $100? $10000? How many nice words would I have to say to my family before I Get into heaven? How many times should I pray? No matter where you draw the line that you have to pass in order to get into heaven, it is completely arbitrary. I'm sure we can agree that heaven is infinitely good. Right? So if heaven is infinite, then in order to earn heaven, we would have to do something that is infinitely good in order to get there right? And since human beings are finite, we can never do something that is infinitely good and therefore we can never earn our way to heaven. We cannot do anything that is infinite. Imagine there is a ladder in front of you. And God tells you that if you climb to the top of that ladder, you will reach heaven. If you tried to climb the ladder you would be climbing forever and never get there.
So then, how do we humans get to heaven? Especially with all our sins. God is the only being who is infinite right? So he would have to come and pick us up and carry us across an infinite distance in order for us to get there. He would have to do it as a gift to us. Not something we earn.
So God must grant us forgiveness in order to get there and he has to let us in. I think you and I both believe this. Both our religions teach that no one is perfect. But how is our debt forgiven? Sin has real cosmic consequences. The consequences of sin cant just disappear into nothing. Someone has to bear the inequity of our sins. I believe that in his infinite grace and love, God has taken on our inequity. He did it by coming in the form of a human, much like how he came in the form of a burning bush to Moses or how he came in the form of a pillar of fire and smoke to the Israelites. God can take any form he wishes but we must understand that when he takes these forms, this is never the entirety of him. He only manifests a part of himself in these forms. He came as a human to show humility and to show us how to be as humans. This is why when Jesus came he never said that he was the entirety of God, but apart of his consciousness. Since God is omnipresent, he can take the form of a human but cannot put his whole form into a human. Also, Jesus was killed because he claimed to be the son of God. Why else would he have been killed?

But on the other hand you should not steal money or say bad words to peoples .

so its up to us if we want to go to hell or heaven , if you say a bad word you have to correct it with a good word and donating money or other good act . god is Forgiving and Merciful and he want us to get into heaven .

god say in the chapter of Al-An‘ām 160:
مَن جَآءَ بِٱلْحَسَنَةِ فَلَهُۥ عَشْرُ أَمْثَالِهَا ۖ وَمَن جَآءَ بِٱلسَّيِّئَةِ فَلَا يُجْزَىٰٓ إِلَّا مِثْلَهَا وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ
it means :
Whoever comes [on the Day of Judgement] with a good deed will have ten times the like thereof [to his credit], and whoever comes with an evil deed will not be recompensed except the like thereof; and they will not be wronged.
so you can see that god realy want us to succes .
we just have to belive in him and trust him , he know that we do mistakes he know that we cant do infinity good acts ,we can get into heaven only by one good act ,also we dont have to pray for infinity times i can give example from my religion we have to pray only 5 times in a day and belive me its not that much .

The Messenger(mohamed) has believed in what was revealed to him from his Lord, and [so have] the believers. All of them have believed in Allāh and His angels and His books and His messengers, [saying], "We make no distinction between any of His messengers." And they say, "We hear and we obey. [We seek] Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the [final] destination.
we muslims belive hat jesus was not killed like you say they killed another person jesus was raised by god to the sky :
god say in chapter nissaa 157:

it means:

we belive that jesus will return on the last days ( Day of Resurrection) to deny what was said about him that he is a god
why jesus have to sacrifice him self to get our debt forgiven ? if god wishes he can forgive all our mistakes but he is sage and fair .in my opignon evey human have to bear his sins . if we know that we will go to heaven even if we do mistakes just because jesus sacrificed him self for us it will be a desaster every one do lot of mistakes just because he know jesus is here to carry our mistakes .
it will be not fair if he do that , personaly i will not accept that someone steal my money or kill my family and go away with it without punishement .
i dont say that every one who do mistakes have to be punished ,if someone steal my money but bring it back after and apologies i can forgive him in that case god also forgive him .
if we regrete our mistakes and ask forgivenes from god he will forgive us ,but if we dont we sould be punished .
