About the Project:
Join me as we create a map rich with natural beauties, distant towns and a bustling metropolis. The aim is to create an island that feels as big as a state or territory, including vast biomes, mountains, rivers and an endless coastline. Set in Australia and New Zealand (maybe an island in between), this map takes inspiration from open world video games and the way in which the game devs create such immersive environments, such as GTA 4 and 5, Red Dead Redemption 2 and the Mafia 4 maps. To take it one step further, every thing on the map should feel unique and distinct. No city district, town or mountain should feel or look the same.

@@StudioKelpie1993 Remember that pre-ordering games creates perverse incentives for game developers and is quite bad for consumers. TotalBiscuit was quite right in his campaign against pre-ordering.

At 1:58:40 I think it would be really cool to build an observatory somewhere up towards the top of those hills slighly left of center on screen. Maybe inspired by the Griffith observatory in LA with winding roads up to it. Also would be really cool to see a full size golf course somewhere

I hope you continue the City Skylines 1 videos, it will be crap if all content creators ditch it. You might find something inspiring in CS2 to bring back to your old cities.
