I rode in a 2002 Thomas fs65, that had the cat 3126 and a 5 speed auto that thing sounded so good, it was plagued with many electrical issues but the school mechanics made it last until it had to be gotten rid of in 2016
Sounds great! Actually sounds pretty similar to South Carolina’s old 95-96 Thomas ER’s with the CAT 3116. They weren’t straight-piped, but most of them suffered exhaust leaks.
These buses in the years 1990 to 2013 were widely used as public transport in Central America and for me they are the best. until a few years ago I realized that they were made to transport children with reason they said "school bus" up xD
Was that a Detroit diesel in the bus you were following? Those Cats sound nice. I rode a n 05 BlueBird flat-nose front-engine that had a Cat C10 (I believe) and it sounded nice - Only issue it had was the batteries / computer for the transmission going wonky and causing it to shift bad
It is! I have videos of it below, probably the best riding bus I've ever been on. ua-cam.com/video/fmTxtFRxTb0/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/Fz_vc0Al4yE/v-deo.html
@saftlinerc2 to be honest it sounds like a south Carolina 1995 Mvp er. I road on a bluebird all American re Caterpillar engine we have them in south Carolina it was 2004 and it was a wheelchair. The only time I rode it is when my bus driver could not make it. And I road a 2019 bluebird all American re and it was an athletic bus and I rode it one time.
Oh no, trust me. In person, the AARE sounded much better. Couldn't hear it as well in the video though. The next ride-along I have you might be able to hear it though.
that engine sounds so good and better than the school buses i have at my school :)

C10 cannot fit in the front engine bus lol. It’s gotta be a C7.
You’re supposed to be at home getting buzzed
Sounds nice
Yes it does!

The Cat 3126 didn't come out until 1997, so was it repowered before?
Clayton County Public Schools Georgia have FS65S
Cameron. Can u do a ride along video of the supercoach 2?
Unfortunately I didn't get one this year, but I got a video of the same Super II last year.

Crown supercoach series2 ?
Yeah, that's what was in front of this bus.
Awesome bus for a 93
What's the top speed for that bus
No clue, we didn't go any faster than 50 or so though.
@@saftlinerc2 I’m sure it’s about 70mph.
we Californians are super lucky. periodt
ughhhhhhh I wish everywhere else had these and I didn't have to travel to see them.
Yeah until yall pay ur sky high taxes 😂😂
@@saftlinerc2 just steal one dummy
FR. But y’all just have RE’s, no FE’s.
Fr. Us over here are retiring buses after 10 years and 100k miles, we do even earlier than that sometimes.
It sounds like my garbage truck I wish I could buy one
I wish I can find a bus ride along because I am 56 years old
Awesome 👌
Meow meow
Ohhh lucky! This bus sounds great! Just the Supercoach 2 stole the show, that thing sounded 1,000 times better!

That Supercoach 2 sounds like it has a GM Detroit 60 series most likely a 6V92. Best sounding two stroke diesel out there.
Hey, dat me
Hey, dat is u
Please make a video driving the bus on the freeway if you can
