- By the end of this video, you should be able to
Differentiate between
Renal cortex and medulla.
Proximal convoluted tubule, distal convoluted tubule, collecting duct, thick limb of the loop of Henle, thin limb of the loop of Henle, and capillary lumen.
The glomerulus, Bowman’s capsule, Bowman’s space, and renal corpuscle.
Renal pole and vascular pole of the Bowman’s capsule.
Identify:
The layers of the wall of the urinary bladder
The layers of the wall of the ureter
Transitional epithelium
Juxtaglomerular apparatus, basement membrane, medullary ray, mesothelium, minor calyx, renal papilla.
Describe
The function of the transitional epithelium.
The functional unit of the kidney and the distribution of its components.
Explain
The presence of a brush border and dark cytoplasm in proximal convoluted tubules.
Explain the abundance of profiles of proximal convoluted tubules in comparison to the distal.

words cannot explain how GOOD this was
Thank you!
You are proud of medical professors
I mean i still understand you clearly despite an accent
Jazakallah
Thanks!
Noticed the Iraqi accent from afar! Thank you for the brilliant explanation
You are welcome!
Thank You So much!!!
You're welcome!
Weldon work sir, please, we would so much appreciate more histology video...

Thank you ☺️
You’re welcome 😊
How to differentiate between loop of henle and collecting duct?
The collecting duct is lined with simple cuboidal epithelium; hence, it can be differentiated easily from the thin limb of the loop of Henle which is lined with simple squamous epithelium. However, it is not possible to differentiate between the collecting duct and the thick limb of the loop of Henle since both are lined with simple cuboidal epithelium.
Thank U!!!
You're welcome!
How about the collecting ducts at 14:09?
Yes, there are collecting ducts in this slide but I started talking about them in the next slide, and showed them in the slide after as well. But, you are correct, there are collecting ducts in the slide you indicated and I should have returned to it as well to show the collecting ducts.
my hero❤
👏🏼👏🏼
Thanks!
